What a beautiful bike Billy!!💪🏼 you definitely make it look easy! My 97 BadBoy spun the keyways off the oil pump shaft. I caught it just in time but it’s definitely not easy…! respect to you Billy!!❤💪🏼

I ride Japanese bikes mainly because they are cheaper to buy and maintain. Did own a 2003 sportster 1200 and loved it. I always enjoy your videos . Thank you for sharing all your knowledge .
Please keep up the good work Billy. Wonderful content. Next year I have the chance to fly to the United States for the first time. To see the motorcycle museum Wheels Through Time. Greetings from Berlin. Germany.
Sick love those 45z man. Keep up the great work. Huge thanks for making vids like this It’s super helpful and can get my vintage Harley fix for the day.🤘🏼
Interesting video to say the least! I really like them early boardtrackers, so beautiful yet so simple. Any plans on making more video's on how you build them? Really interesting stuff to see...
Excellent info as always Mr. Lane. I appreciate ya brother. Really nice scoot too. I couldn't help but notice the angle of the rockers on the springer front end. Is that normal for that particular front end or did you make some kind of adjustments to the springs to raise the front of the bike a little ?
Great video I've had a time with my linkert on my 57 panhead, after 6 time's off and on I think I have the seals sealed..noticed you run 20x50 oil , I researched till I went cross-eyed and said hell with it and put 20x50 in it. I can't find the Karo syrup around here that I think it calls for, like 70 weight or something crazy. Hope it's OK to run.
Check for air leaks with starting fluid around your intake manifold before trying to tune the Linkert. If air leaks aren’t your problem, check float adjustment, & make sure someone hasn’t put the wrong needles in your carb body.
@BillyLaneChoppers Thank you. I'll check the needle, it's running smooth now. I couldn't get those seals to seal for some reason. I thought about trying the wide seals but wasn't sure. Heard good and bad on them, too. Thanks again for the tip
@@waynemorgan3095 Glad to learn that it has smoothed out. When the Linkert Model M was designed, gasoline was leaded & had a typical octane rating of 55. They weren’t designed to run on unleaded, high octane fuels. So temper your expectations, but know that you can get fairly reasonable reliability and consistency with your L&L. Good luck
I notice you're not using the yellow fuel resistant teflon tape. Does the white stuff work fine for gas tanks? I've been using the yellow version for petcock threads, but ti's thicker and not as easy to work with as the white stuff. Thinking I should go back to the white stuff is that's what Billy is using.
Six-inches. Factory 45 tanks have them built in, you should be able to see it inside the tank filler spigot. These are replica racing tanks, they come with nothing. Without a return tube, the oil will sump your engine’s bottom end
We are lucky to have you, Pacific Mike and Matt Walksler teaching us how to keep these old machines alive and running
Much RESPECT, from Florida! Dont stop with your educational content.
Thank you. So much more to come, I appreciate you watching

Damn man, that bike is beautiful. That is one of my favorite bikes I've seen.
I totally agree. The whole bike looks SO tough, yet classy........even the colors.
And now we need to see this go around that track ❤❤❤
Everything about that bike is stunning.
Thank you. Crazy that it’s basically stock with fenders, seat, & handlebars changed.
Good Looking Machine Bill 👍
Thank you. These bike have great lines, especially with the 19-inch wheels.

My goodness that is a beautiful bike. 🤠
Thank you. It’s a 1938, but factory 1937 color scheme. The 19” wheels & slammed rear fender give it strong proportions.
I absolutely love that period correct paint job! Beautiful bike.
Damn that bike looks SO bad ass. Perfect color scheme too.
Just got home from work, and there is a new video. Good on you, Mr Lane . Nice bike, thanks for the lesson.
Awesome. I don’t usually upload Sunday evenings, but I couldn’t get it done earlier

Outstanding video very educational Billy keep up all the great content
Will do
I used to love to have that Linkert on my 49 panhead because every time I shifted I would blow out flames
I was racing my 1934 CAC last weekend. It backfired through the Linkert so hard that it blew the choke closed.
Just love it Billy.
Great watch!

Yes. I’m building a 1927 Harley-Davidson FHAD 2-cam board tracker now, documenting all of the steps. I’ll have it done this summer

Can't you run different diameter brass pipe? Thanks for showing oil coming out of tube!
👍👍
Quick question, is that an HD colour - either way, what is it?
That is a wicked blue.
Always skip the first thread when using teflon tape , by doing that , the teflon does its job, doesn’t get dragged into the fitting. MLNR JIMBO53

Won’t Teflon tape breakdown in gasoline ?
