BMW 1series N13 Timing chain replacement.

Hi, in this video I will show you how I am replacing step-by-step timing chain on 2014 BMW 1 series with N13 B16A 1.6 engine.
Story about this car is, that customer came to garage with EML (Engine malfunction light) on, rough idling and limp mode, after diagnostic it indicated that timing is off. It was later agreed to replace timing chain. On this particular job, customer supplied parts him self and asked me what parts he should buy. Typically it requires only timing chain kit without VVT sprockets, upon question from customer should he get VVT sprockets as well I advice not to, as in my past experience I never had issues with them, so to save customer money I told not to buy these VVT sprockets as they are expensive. After first repairs EML came back on but with different fault code that now suggest that the VANOS, Intake control Error, Camshaft Jammed. This code often comes on when camshafts them self are damaged/scored and would required new camshafts. Instead of getting new camshaft or writing of car completely, customer decided to replace VVT sprockets for his peace of mind. So it was agreed to perform job one more time, long story short if I would not recommend customer not to get VVT sprockets maybe job would be correct first time and customer would not have to return to garage.
