Damn dude! I’m just 5 mins into this video and already learned way more than most other reviews out there! You’re amazing in your explanation and research.
Ive used this device {{{daily}}} for the past 3 months ⚡️and it’s never crashed on me 🤙🤙never… additionally other software packages like premiere Pro and After effects sometimes crash without having anything at all to do with GoPro fusion … might I suggest you rerun your Diagnostic and reevaluate this wonderful product have a nice day and thanks for making the video … it was a wonderful video prior to you making that statement💥✨⚡️🔥🛸💺
Can confirm that 4 months later the Android support is still awful. Just reviewed the Fusion on my channel and could only get it to work with an iPhone 6. Still, it shoots epic video so it's not all bad.
I think their latest updates have been doing well to fix things, but the support for Android phones still sucks. There is only a small list of Android phones that the GoPro app works with while using a Fusion.
I am willing to buy one , I have seen lot of videos , 70% of videos says it’s is overpriced , stitching takes for ever and has some operational issues as well .. kindly suggest if it is a good investment...I am very impressed with the concept..
It was worth the investment for us. It all depends on your own situation. Even though it’s slow and has some minor bugs (which are mostly worked out now) it does work and work well. If you pair it with Premiere Pro that’s when the money shots start getting really creative.
I love the fusion. I use it daily. Awsome footage. Pictures and video's are sharp, the dynamic range and stabilisation is good. I dont have problems with gopro studio because i have a fast computer. If you aint have a good videocard rendering is really a pain in the ass. Takes really long or even failes to complete. For arround 200 dollars you can buy a good GeForce gtx videocard and this problem is solved.
Aww, I was waiting to see your sample footage. I really hope GoPro fixes the software issues soon. I have no use for videos that can't be longer than 7 minutes. I just bought one. Can't wait to use it. I hope I don't regret the purchase. I also hope it doesn't frequently lock up or overheat.
You can do either, Fusion or a 3rd party app. The thing to keep in mind is the sensors thats logging all the movement during the capture. I can't say or not if any 3rd party apps will honor the sensor information used for stabilization or not. Hope this helps, don't forget to subscribe!
Just got mine today. Am I missing something or is there NO WAY TO LOCK EXPOSURE, set white balance or Manually set your Exposure/shutter speed??? I REALLY hope I don’t have to send this back. Manual exposure is a HUGE requirement for me. I just assumed it did since pretty much every other 360 camera at less than half the price has it.
The only method I can think of is to set your shutter speed and ISO in the ProTune Settings of the GoPro app... Thats the easiest method I can think of... Its not like the Hero 5/6 where you can click an area and tell it to lock exposure, you have to set it in the app manually.
Unfortunately, those setting are for MAX not hard set values. i.e., MAX ISO of 400, 1600, etc... It will still ride up and down within those limits causing pumping of exposure. :( Thanks for replying. I appreciate it.
I am pretty sure that the sensor they use on the front and back cameras are the same as what you get with the Hero Sensors... If that's the case be sure to only use an ISO max of 100-200, anything more will be just noise. This was straight from the folks at GoPro that does their public media videos... If anything that should keep you in the right direction when it comes to proper ISO exposure.
You'd be surprised at how well it handles higher isos at night. Not great, but much better than I expected. Thanks again. I'll check out your video below too..
because the two cameras write to their respective SD cards its not unusual to have the audio that is captured to be written to only 1 of the SD cards. Its normal behavior since the Studio app stitches everything (including audio) together.
There have been 2 incremental updates since we launched this video. It does appear to have solved the 7 minute limitation and some of the stability issues we saw. Also, stabilization is now out of beta and works REALLY well, like dont need a gimbal well!
Yes, those updates mentioned are on the Fusion Studio app. More stable and renders a bit faster than before. As far as plugins go only premiere is supported and no new updates on that front.

well put!

I resisted buying this and waited. Luckily, I was rewarded with a price reduction to $299.00!!!! SCORE! Thanks for the in-indepth review and tutorial!
Great review! On my way to buy one right now!

Raw images can be stitched automatically through fusion studio or third party software like Adobe and all is required to stitch?

Does the LCD turn off once recording and does it support auto orientation when mounted upside down?
Thanks.

question, can you do over capture with 3k 60fps video or just with the 5k?
Yes you can but the quality will suffer if you zoom in too much.
bought a used fusion with two card and all other accessories for $200
Thanks guys, excellent review! Respect!
Quite informative ✅🗯⚡️💥🔥🚀🛸🍹🍹🍹🍻🍻🍻🍻💺🎥🙌🎶🐱
this camera could be a game changer as long as GoPro fix the issues and improve on the Fusion...
Good job. But what u say the camera worth 700 pr no .
Now that a lot of the bugs are fixed I’d say yes.
Awesome review thank you.
Thanks, very well done. #Sold One-day shipping!
Great review!

Thanks a lot for the response!!!!! Got my sub and like! Seriously thanks for
he fusion grip can go in the water? Pleasseeeee answer me
Yeppers. The grip that comes with the Fusion can most definitely go under water and through the woods. 👍
Your video was amazing, but that tshirt, damn!
Is there any news on updates?

xMode Media but nothing on post production software improvements?

Why does it only allow 90 second uploading RUclips and 30 second on Facebook , yet I see other videos last longer than 90s
11:36 that's fine we'll keep it in 'action' safe place, inside the drawer ☹
Amazing 😉
