  • Aaron Gillespie is a hero in every sense of the word. He was born and raised in Texas. And had a big Texas personality. He would light up a room and have everyone laughing.
He was a hero to his country spending 13 years in the Air Force and was stationed in many bases across the country and in England. His last assignment was at Offutt Air Force Base where he flew on the Strategic Air Command Looking Glass.
Aaron was a hero to the companies he worked for, bringing amazing energy, and a can do attitude. Upon leaving the Air Force, he started an internet business with his wife and also a coffee company.
His final job was working for Methodist Hospital as a Program Manager in the IT department.
Aaron was a hero husband-married to his dancing partner of 32 years, wife NeEtta. He was fun loving and always up for an adventure.
Aaron was a hero dad. He has two grown children Madison (spouse Emery Griffith) and Austin Gillespie. Aaron was one of those dads that never missed his children's activities, music concerts, baseball games or swim meets.
Aaron was a hero to his church and community. Living near the Joslyn Castle, he helped with many neighborhood events and was always there to help when a neighbor or friend needed something fixed.
He was very active in his church, and for the past three years was involved in the live streaming Sunday morning services on Facebook and RUclips. When people asked him how he was doing he would always say, "I'm blessed." And he truly was.
He loved barbecuing and entertaining his friends. He was renowned for his brisket in his friend circle.
And Aaron is a hero today-giving the gift of life so others can live on.
