He makes every weapon show it full potential. It makes those who like a weapon but it may not be considered the "best" weapon, feel like they can beat anyone
I can't believe how in depth and thorough this video is. He gave us the origin, RPM, clip size etc, and the whole thing lasted over nine minutes. Awesome!
dear xboxahoy, me and my younger brother always anticipate your weapon guides b/c they have made me and him better cod players. keep doing wat you are doing, thank you
That's a good point because they both give different information about the guns. While Stu gives information about shots to kill, Drift0r gives information of damage per bullet, etc. I like both of them.
Trent Keremelevski Stu reminds me of Ron Perlman(the narrator of 1000 Ways to Die and the Fallout series). And the puns also remind me of the doggerel quotes of the show.
I had the dumbest of luck when getting this weapon luck, i got in a ground war lobby and after 15 matches played against noobs i finished the one shot kill challenges and the one without perks
not much more but an AK47 that fires 12 gauge Shotgun shells. An awesome weapon, I use it in multiple roles and many different setups. To keeps things interesting, not having to worry that I might get bored of it. Most consistent, and very easy to use, the Saiga 12, along with the R870 MCS are my most favorite Shotguns in-game.
I just learned something new about the class I was using. I took out perk 3 greed and exteme conditioning, and added scavenger and laser sight to the S-12, but I find myself using the Tac-45 more. I took away the sprint, and I'm doing better. I'm finding people are waiting around every corner, and sprinting is only exacerbating my lag, and causing me to lose. I can turn a corner with a Tac 45, and I often get snipers from range. Strafing and adjusting your shots will bring you quite a ways.
Long Barrel is kind of a waste of a point (technically two points with primary gunfighter) because it doesn't really impact the range too much. It's great on things like the KSG and Remmy because they already have great range to begin with, but the Saiga's range is just too short for it to be effective. it increases the effective OSK range (assuming all 8 pellets hit their target, hence you'd need the pellets to deal 13 damage each) from about 10 metres out to 11.6 metres out, which I wouldn't consider to be terribly beneficial compared to Fast/Extended Mag and Laser Sight. You could carry: -Another perk (Not being visible on UAVs is great, continual supply of ammo and flashies is great, the list goes on) -Another tactical grenade (double the flashies, double the fun) plus either a lethal of your choosing or an attachment for your secondary. -Two different kinds of tactical grenades (EMPs to annoy people and destroy setups, Tac inserts to set up, etc) The list goes on, but my point is, most to all of these are better choices than Long Barrel. That said, the Saiga is a fantastic panic weapon and probably the best of the shotguns because it doesn't have a single delay period from full clip to empty clip where you're not firing. You miss or scuff up your shot with the Remmy or an unsilenced KSG, you're likely gonna die, and the M1216 has that awful rechambering thing after every fourth shot so you have to count them or else find yourself at a loss. With the Saiga, you just keep firing and mow them down if you don't OSK them outright.
One Week Wizard Even though the gain isn't very much, shotguns absolutely need all of the range that they can salvage, and if an enemy even barely moves outside the brink of your effective range, it can make all the difference between dealing damage and not dealing damage. SMG's and pistols (bar Executioner) don't really need it because they can still hit an opponent at any range, but the shotguns and Executioner absolutely need it if players want to get as many hits as possible, because as soon as your range is gone, so is your entire chance of hitting an enemy with that weapon unless you force the enemy back into your effective range, and you may as well use your secondary weapon in those situations.
ShadowBaofu That can usually be fulfilled in Hardcore game modes. The S12 with Long Barrel isn't the most reliable for one shot kills even with the attachment. Still, it helps loads, either way.
You're better off with a customized S12 with Laser Sight and Silencer. Your perks should be Lightweight (since you move faster with the S12 than the Remington 870 MCS), Scavenger, and Extreme Conditioning as your main 3 perks. For Perk Greed's 1 and 3 select Ghost and Dead Silence. No Crossbow, no Flashbangs, just you and your customized S12 sneaking in for the kill and reloading in safe spots of every map. Works for me every time.
"With super-Sonic performance, this shotgun will be the Genesis of your Victory." God damn man, he be making Sonic references with a damn shotty. RESPECT+
Phantom Unit Airsoft I wouldn't say that. The Striker had extremely great range for a shotgun, and had a lot of ammunition to hold with Extended Mags. 18 shells is nothing short of extreme for a shotgun.
Your voice is a very powerful that projects tones to the human ear that make us all say...Damn wish I could talk like that. What I like about using shotguns is that it makes quick scopers cry. They most all the time win a free for all match but you take it to them with a shotgun...you bruise their egos. Thank for you great videos.
You should mention that sprinting cancels reload so if you're left vulnerable while reloading, but still have a couple shots, then you can get that final kill
@James Harry The M16 was newly introduced and jammed quite often unless constantly cleaned. The AK had always been a work horse that can continue steady fire rates even with dented barrels and clogged actions.
So far this is one of the worst guns in the game. The range is sooo low in this gun even with long barrel. The only good thing in this gun is it's a semi-automatic shotgun.
+NoNoobMore +Kaiju King Lol no. The gun is horrible, it rarely gets 1 shot kills and it can take nearly 5 shots at Short-Mid range to kill an enemy while the other 3 shotguns beat the S12 in every way.
rtboomhauer Agreed. Even the M1216 is better due to its higher damage per shot. I'd rather take the Olympia from Black Ops 1 over this. It's such as waste of a gun, and it's insanely difficult to master it to get diamond camo.
***** I understand they wanted to make it balanced but the result this pile of waste...if they wanted to put a good semi auto shotgun, there's the m1014 from mw2, or spas-12 from BO1.
This is an o.k. build but there is no way in denying enemy UAVs. You could argue that running CUAV will help but there will be more instances were enemy UAVs will appear before you've acquired the CUAV Scorestreak. I recommended Ghost instead of Lightweight and employ this build on smaller maps or force CQC. Two Black Hat PDAs will also work.
It is not as hard as it looks at first, but it definitely is not as easy as the Remi or the KSG shotguns, due to their minimal, compared to the other 2, one shot kill potential. After you get the 100 one shot kills challenge though, it becomes a piece of cake
for engagements slightly longer than comfortable. Its not the longest range shotgun so if you get knocked off just once you can die in longer than ideal fights
I have prestige 2 diamond shotties, My preferred setup is Ext mags/long barrel, Lightweight and Ghost with P1 greed, scavenger and dexterity. Use it with non lethals, Concussion and C4. Or swap out the concussion for Tac insert/Five seven. The Saiga's all about not oversampling it's ROF. If you can time it properly, it's like having a buffed up AA-12 from mw2, that you can ADS and looks sexy diamond.
The Gun's full name is the Saiga 12, people usually people are known to pronounce the name as SEGA. so the puns are based on SEGA thing. One of the company's ad slogans in the UK was "To be this good, takes SEGA" also he referenced their old console the Genesis as well
i did enjoy this class i made one modification i got rid of the concussion grenade in exchange for the tri-bolt attachment to get the overwhelming firepower at close and long ranges it works great if your reflexes are quick enough to switch between the two
I'm using Perk I Greed with Lightweight and Ghost; Perk 3 Greed with Extreme Conditioning and Engineer, with the S-12 Long Barrel, and the Tac-45 Long Barrel with a lot of fun and success right now, just because I have to get those guns gold, the the Remington 870 and Five Seven are already both gold.
I've never held any of the semi auto/ gas cycled shotguns irl, but i've been told they're quite heavy by comparison to the pump actions. Makes this class look even more beastly! Also stu ever play magic the gathering?
i was surprised when i discovered my best way to use this weapon: extended mags, silencer (yes, silencer, you can even kill someone fast and the enemys don't notice you) and mms - works pretty well :D
XboxAhoy is to me a lot more enjoyable to watch, because of his voice and puns. But I find Drift0r's videos more informational. So I usually watch Drift0r's first and then XboxAhoy's.
The only problem with your statement is that unlike the DSR, the KSG has a limited range. Granted, it's not as limited as the other shotguns, but your slugs will disappear after 32ft.
He goes something like, the first smg, the first shotgun, the first sniper rifle, then keeps going until the second one, and so on. I think it depends on when it's unlocked.
Not really. The only thing they have in common are the round and the magazine. AN-94 uses the standard 30-rounder bakelite magazines and the 5.45x39mm M74 cartridge, both used by AN-94 and AK-74. I have found some schematics of their systems, too. I can show them if you want to.
Love the recommendation to use the xbow with this. I've been using it and it's the perfect secondary for it. Forced me to get good with it as well. Nice left of field choice Stuart!
I actually like the S12, it's my favorite shotgun. Mostly because it's just fun to use because it's a bullet hose. I think it needs a range increase though, I found that it has only slightly better effective range than the executioner.
KSG isn't really cheap, as it takes some degree of accuracy to kill, remington is not really cheap, it's more almost OP, but yeah, one can think of shotguns as cheap, but it mostly depends on how you use it. And yes, LMGs can be cheap, but mostly if one sits half across the map camping and just shooting at by passers, even though, I think the LMGs were created for one to be far away and just mowing down enemies
I really like S12: long barrel-fast mag-stock lightweight + blast protection toughness engineer black hat I use this because of the many camper snipers.
This gun is pretty beast with a suppressor+ extended mags+ laser or quicKdraw whether you aim or hipfire. It is unconventional but after the ohks than it is fun
"fast mags or an able secondary weapon" *pulls out crossbow*
How is he not narrating movies
Tony Harrison, Jr. I feel like I've heard him in history channel
Because then he couldn't teach us how to make an S-12 class in call of duty: black ops 2
I agree
Because movies don't have narration anymore because writers and directors are assholes who watched the seminar scene in Adaptation too many times
all the sega puns
Never expected to see you here lol
^ yea
Another smooth voice.
Wait, this is actually Byf.
waow
The crossbow's explosive damage is pretty much confetti tho
ghost special ops screw off of Ahoy and tigerfield
@Daniele Deiacovo591 it is
He makes every weapon show it full potential. It makes those who like a weapon but it may not be considered the "best" weapon, feel like they can beat anyone
I can't believe how in depth and thorough this video is. He gave us the origin, RPM, clip size etc, and the whole thing lasted over nine minutes. Awesome!
I use the S12 a lot.
My class:
Laser sight
Red Dot [Reflex]
Long barrel
Tier 1 Perk: Lightweight
Flash
Super *SONIC* performance with the *SEGA*! Haha! I get it!
+Mikuo hatsune and Len kagamine When I got it I... just stood there like an idiot for a minute, asking me "Oh, god, why?!"
Mikuo hatsune and Len kagamine it's pronounced "scy-gah" I believe.
Minedweller329 It's more like "Sae-gah".
Mikuo hatsune and Len kagamine It's almost as good as the Uzi pun
Tony O'Neill Remind me what was it...
this made the s12 from very crappy to really really great thanks for all the tips!
Shut up
well dick after these attachments i got diamond shotguns plus went up levels easily
Erik Carey It does have an advantage over the remington and msg in that you can spam shots very quickly. It's a good panic weapon.
Erik Carey i never understood why people hated it.
Excellent weapon 👌
dear xboxahoy, me and my younger brother always anticipate your weapon guides b/c they have made me and him better cod players. keep doing wat you are doing, thank you
The S12 was a remarkable Shotgun to use. Found it quite useful in room clearing and "Trench" Sweeping...
That's a good point because they both give different information about the guns. While Stu gives information about shots to kill, Drift0r gives information of damage per bullet, etc. I like both of them.
Your voice makes you sound so professional
thank you
Mate your voice is LEGENDARY keep up the good vids
His voice is nearly as good as fricken Morgan Freeman.
Damn straight!
Trent Keremelevski Hell yea.
Trent Keremelevski Stu reminds me of Ron Perlman(the narrator of 1000 Ways to Die and the Fallout series). And the puns also remind me of the doggerel quotes of the show.
So awesome!
MattHDGamer i dont know you, but i know you commented before you were popular. Congrats
Indra JR. Gamer he was already popular back then i watched him during those times
did anybody else catch the Sega Genesis reference at the very end?
Got it!
nope, behind my age
I got it lol
Yep, "super sonic performance"
I got a better pun! "this saiga, is a master system"
Cod does what Battlefieldon't
+Larry Johnson LOL!
Spy no
That pun was absolute genius.
THAT PUN WAS ORGASMIC.
No. It was Super Sonic!
he puts so much work into every single video he posts.
In this guide Ahoy's voice sounds a bit different when comparing to MW2 guides of ahoy.
+Unt3RdRück3R Older + getting over a cold. :P
+Sai Kisaragi getting over Pneumonia, actually, if I recall correctly :O
StrunDoNhor ^^ thanks

Darian the Scorpion this gun is brutally overpowered in battlefield 4
My baby.

ShadowBaofu That can usually be fulfilled in Hardcore game modes. The S12 with Long Barrel isn't the most reliable for one shot kills even with the attachment. Still, it helps loads, either way.
Good point actually. I liked how there was a challenge for playing in Hardcore. I didn't think it was that popular.
Absolutely loved the pun. Was wondering if you were gonna use it when you said "genesis of your victory". Loved it. Good work Stu.

M lol I know its 3 years later but I run it with silencer and extended mag and sneak around
yea and smoke grenades pair with the silenced s12 really well, they let you get up real close to the enemy
"With super-Sonic performance, this shotgun will be the Genesis of your Victory."
God damn man, he be making Sonic references with a damn shotty. RESPECT+
It's just like the striker
Yup ;)
Phantom Unit Airsoft I wouldn't say that. The Striker had extremely great range for a shotgun, and had a lot of ammunition to hold with Extended Mags. 18 shells is nothing short of extreme for a shotgun.

s12 is the hardest gun to get gold for fuckk
ik i have gold on every shotgun but the s12
John Flores 1st shotgun i ever got gold
john shepard use the gun in hardcore cuz in it you only have 30 health and most shots will be 1 shots.
Use long barel and laser sight to help you;)
Vito Torej haha thanks man, but sadly i just prestiged so i have to wait to unlock it again
john shepard ok when you do try to do that and i can almost assure you it will work;)
You should mention that sprinting cancels reload so if you're left vulnerable while reloading, but still have a couple shots, then you can get that final kill
I never could use this shotgun, I did a lot better with the Remington.
I do better with the S12 I can't use the Remington
I'm not good with anything, I suck.
Its because remington is the easiest gun in the game to use
@James Harry The M16 was newly introduced and jammed quite often unless constantly cleaned. The AK had always been a work horse that can continue steady fire rates even with dented barrels and clogged actions.
this gun makes all aw shotguns look pitiful, and that is not a good thing.
The Red Roman Last time I checked, AW's S-12 is borderline OP in close quarters.
weakestlink20 I posted this pre-buff, and haven't used it since.
weakestlink20 One problem: almost no one plays AW on PC anymore.
weakestlink20 Pretty much, yeah.
actually if you think about it the ohm is somewhat decent if you use its shotgun mode
Did my first Brutal medal with this shotgun on Standoff, I immediately fell in love with it.
So far this is one of the worst guns in the game. The range is sooo low in this gun even with long barrel. The only good thing in this gun is it's a semi-automatic shotgun.
you must not know how to use a shotgun then
+NoNoobMore +Kaiju King Lol no. The gun is horrible, it rarely gets 1 shot kills and it can take nearly 5 shots at Short-Mid range to kill an enemy while the other 3 shotguns beat the S12 in every way.
Compare this shotgun to the Remington 870 or the KSG. Both of them are outclass the S12.
rtboomhauer Agreed. Even the M1216 is better due to its higher damage per shot. I'd rather take the Olympia from Black Ops 1 over this. It's such as waste of a gun, and it's insanely difficult to master it to get diamond camo.

My fav class. The Fallout Combat Shotgun Guy:
Primary: S12
- long barrel
- fast mags
- laser sight
Secondary: Five-seveN
Perks:
- Lightweight
- Scavenger
- Dexterity
Lethal: C4
Wildcard: primary gun fighter
When I was playing with the S12 my build was almost the same. I ran c4 instead of crossbow. Excellent video yet again.!
My favourite shotgun in BO2 extended magazine and long barrel

Stu, you should've just kept the pun as "it will be the genesis of your victory." That was great.
Just found your channel best weapon breakdown/guide videos ive ever seen on youtube keep up the good work!!! SUB
I must say, you make the best class setups in my opinion.
just got back from the mw2 m4a1 weapon guide stu sure changed a shit ton
Sonic was a game on the Saga consoles, thats the best ending yet! Thank you stu!
I love the little pun on the end of your videos. They make my day
if you check the description his entire script is there props to you putting that there
So basically like the AA-12 from MW2, the S12's build should be focused on getting closer. That's nice to know.
for engagements slightly longer than comfortable.
The attachments you use on the S12 are the exact attachments i use on my S12 before i watched this
I dont even have to think that im going to "like" his vids. i just do it when the vid begins
Just wanted to say that you make awesome vids. Keep em coming. Also great voice, feels like i am at a clandestine military briefing.
Dude your commentary are so cool ur voice is perfect for this
The Gun's full name is the Saiga 12, people usually people are known to pronounce the name as SEGA. so the puns are based on SEGA thing. One of the company's ad slogans in the UK was "To be this good, takes SEGA" also he referenced their old console the Genesis as well
Another wicked review, I'm a big saiga user, I prefer engineer perk so I don't get killed running into a room or around the corner.
i did enjoy this class i made one modification i got rid of the concussion grenade in exchange for the tri-bolt attachment to get the overwhelming firepower at close and long ranges it works great if your reflexes are quick enough to switch between the two
I'm using Perk I Greed with Lightweight and Ghost; Perk 3 Greed with Extreme Conditioning and Engineer, with the S-12 Long Barrel, and the Tac-45 Long Barrel with a lot of fun and success right now, just because I have to get those guns gold, the the Remington 870 and Five Seven are already both gold.
I've never held any of the semi auto/ gas cycled shotguns irl, but i've been told they're quite heavy by comparison to the pump actions. Makes this class look even more beastly!
Also stu ever play magic the gathering?
True. Got confused with the headshot challenges for a sec there.
i was surprised when i discovered my best way to use this weapon: extended mags, silencer (yes, silencer, you can even kill someone fast and the enemys don't notice you) and mms - works pretty well :D
have you considered applying to become a discovery channel commentator or working for the bbc?
XboxAhoy is to me a lot more enjoyable to watch, because of his voice and puns. But I find Drift0r's videos more informational. So I usually watch Drift0r's first and then XboxAhoy's.
he gots a point. Difference is the reload, its magazine now not sliding one in the chamber
Stu should also add kill streaks to use with the gun, it would help a lot.
I actually like the S12, it's my favorite shotgun. Mostly because it's just fun to use because it's a bullet hose. I think it needs a range increase though, I found that it has only slightly better effective range than the executioner.
I would kill for a real life gun like this. Still my favorite shotgun in COD ever.
to be this good, takes xbox ahoy
the suppressor tightens the fire spread and keeps u off the mini map, it is better than u think
Love your build with the S12. The first time I used it I got a Marciless! Thznks so much!
I actually really liked this build, good choice stu
It sure is mine. It allows me to near-instantly toss grenades which is essential to a fast-paced aggressive class like mine.
I just absolutely dominated a kill confirmed match on Raid, running and gunning with this class setup. I think I'll keep it.
I think that pun its self deserves a like.
That... Sonic and Genesis joke... comedy gold.
Fast mag and lazersight gotta remember that
Wow, these weapons breakdowns are fantastic
Is it just me.. or is this guy fucking incredible at making classes.. Holy shit. You're the man stu.
I really like S12: long barrel-fast mag-stock
lightweight + blast protection
toughness
engineer
black hat
I use this because of the many camper snipers.
If you spam too fast, your fire slows down, since the gap between registered shots increases.
The last sentence he says about SAIGA sounds like the ending of a TV commercial.
In that case, definitely the MSMC with Laser and Long Barrel, to maximize either scenario.
your commentaries are epic
This gun is pretty beast with a suppressor+ extended mags+ laser or quicKdraw whether you aim or hipfire. It is unconventional but after the ohks than it is fun
I had a similar class to 6:41 with except I had a 5-7 pistol with Extended Mag instead of the Crossbow.
XboxAhoy does each weapon in order that its unlocked. You'll just have to wait. :) (Personally, I can't wait for the Skorpion EVO Weapon Guide)
some of your best work. Nice Job Stew.
All good just I use dexterity, QuickDraw attachment, and toughness and 2 black hats, it's a fun class
YOUR LOGO IS FOR BOARDS OF CANADA. THAT, STUART, IS AWESOME
My name is Professor Awesome. I approve this video. Thank you.
Why do people care so much about the puns Stu. Your videos are top quality.
