@@readytopay1488 what are you actually yapping about? 1: the devs for this game have over 5+ years of experience, this shouldn't be difficult 2: even if It was too hard, they could literally just nerf the bear ai from the hunted challenge and call it a day Both of those things be infinitely better than a cutscene that always takes at least 40% of your health away, with no way to rebuttal other than (as we've seen from the video) a VERY hard to land shot on a fast moving animal

All we had are wolves bears and moose as enemies, rabbits and deer as wildfire animals, all those were added long almost at the alpha and their intellect still sucks. Wolves are literally brain dead and their code is simple af. Same with deer And would you really enjoy a walking bullshido?

How did she survive all these battles? Did she simply make a hard copy of the game files and reload whenever she missed the cougar with her bow and arrow?
If the "cougar claw knife" is somehow better in a struggle than a manufactured hunting knife, that's just ridiculous lol. Cougar claws are sharp I get that, but a good sharp knife can strip muscle from bone like peeling a banana.
@zooker7938 Sure, that's fine. But keep it in perspective. A cougar claw is a couple inches long, at most. And only the tip is going to be sharp. Figure that you need to use part of the claw to lash it to a handle, you're left with a blade of about 1". You're better off sharpening a stick and thrusting it like a spear.

Meh.. I was real excited about this DLC at first, but it's just been petering out slowly with each successive release. I'm not even sure I'll reinstall the game to play this one anymore.

@Tomasina, Do we know if clothing protection percentage, aka wearing a moose hide cloak or ballistic vest (armored) has any effect/mitigation on damage received? Or if we have health buff from "Well fed" and/or "Nourished" buff? In other words if anticipating an attack, these two things could be combined to increase survival chances? Also, do we know if Vaughn's Rifle would help us the most since it aims/gets on target the quickest? Great Content as usual!
I love this game game but waiting 1-2 years for updates is not only bad but that means patches will take 8 months to a year as well. After waiting years to see this only for a jump scare type enemy is just disappointing.

You can make a special knife from a cougar claw and a very warm hat from its pelt. The knife is supposed to be really good in struggles against animals.
VERY stupid mechanics. It's clear why, but it doesn't take away the stupidity. Enabling and disabling Cougar's is like an option to enable or disable a BDSM event. The cougar should spawn like all animals, but it should be tied to the region, be super-hidden and unexpected, and not spawn on the player. After so many years of development, the adequacy of Hinterland is clearly frozen.

well, if it's interloper, best you can do before cougar is improvise a knife out of scrap metal. maybe cougar has some adamantium.
