I was looking up "Norwegian affliction", haha. I'm not native english speaker. But I do know that Zack is norwegian and I got some weird ideas haha. (but after you talked for a while I understood ;) )
This update looks awesome! I'm very excited to start the third tale and craft some cougar drip. However, In the trailer it was mentioned that part 6 will have traders. I'm really worried how that will affect the overall vibe of the game (e.g. you being stranded and completely alone). I think adding NPCs to survival mode could go very poorly.
Adding NPCs sounds bad, I'd rather it be like a single working machine to put a better use to cash, or the crows being corvids and taking acorns or shiny things and when you befriend them they'll bring you things in return (sewing kit, cloth, certain beach combing things)
@50:53 actually mousescroll now works properly. before, it was like pressing pagedown every tick of the wheel. now it properly scrolls across a list of items. Also, you bring up a good point about misery mode. In interloper and any other mode, things just get easier. With misery, despite best efforts in stocking up and equipping yourself, the game just gets harder and harder and harder.
@37:30 I don't like Thomsons area so much because no worktable, meaning you can potentially be stuck in a place where you can't do anything much productive. Maybe it'd be worth it if the bear still spawned nearby, but I don't think that's the case anymore. A few minutes later... Oh! A bear!
The bear can still spawn there - it's just not guaranteed - it is there in this run actually. And yeah I agree - having no workbench does suck. Luckily both the barn and cinder hills are close enough to walk to even in a blizzard.
spawn point is set in stone there is no ohter location that you are able to spawn ... loot is randomize but corpses arent i think there is every single corpse possible on the map ... matches spawns are reduced over all pretty fun mode :) started today my self and my first way to make fire was a flare :D
update : made it to day 6 and forged ... i happen to find every single item in pleasant valley and then i rushed into desolation point but i got really bad encounter with a bear nearly died used allmost all my resources and got frozen head now im in desolation point without food with lot of water and tools and almost no clothing ;)

Apparently the last affliction is broken body and it prevents condition from being restored, not sure if it’s from sleeping or all condition restoring items like stims and birch bark. Basically a harder NOGOA
@@dallashill23 please no spoilers!! Ah well too late now lol. I had a feeling that would be the case. Thats not the end of the world then. Yeah i wonder if birch bark will restore. If so then no regen is not really a problem. Pleeaase dont tell me any more of them ahaha

Interlooper is hard as hell. Can't imagine how hard this mode is. Can you have cougar in a ongoing save ? Peace from Sweden
I think cougars are on current saves unless you choose to not implement them
I believe you will be given the choice once you load the save
