Would have been nice to actually see the result of the welding with a closeup of the resulting welds... I have a 215.
Thanks for reaching out. We appreciate your feedback. We will pass this along to our team.
Is it the Advertising folks that have convinced video makers that music is needed? When watching this type of video, I want to hear the "bacon" frying, etc. Just a thought.
I love miller machine 😍🥰👍👍👍
What a great machine! Some helpful tips too. I want one.
Thank you, Ed!
l am very pleased with my 215 it's a great machine keep leaving Lincoln in the dust
Any plans to release a model similar to this with HF start?
Hi friend you are verygood in operating
thank you for the rapid response to my tech question. next question i now have is which miller multimatic multipurpose has AC capability to TIG aluminum?
The Multimatic 215 and Multimatic 200 can weld aluminum with the added spoolgun. More information can be found here: www.millerwelds.com/equipment/welders/multiprocess
+Miller Welders yes i understand the 215 does not tig high freq ac. which of the miller ac tig high freq machines are the 3 lowest price machines are my options
You can find Miller's TIG machines here: www.millerwelds.com/equipment/welders/tig-gtaw
My TIG torch (CK17) has a small brass threaded end on the cable. What adapter or fitting do I need to connect it with this machine?

How long will the color screen last before images begin to burn in like a cell phone?
Hi Donald, thanks for the question. The Multimatic 215 features an LCD screen, which does not burn-in the image. We have not seen this issue on any of our extensive reliability tests. Burn-in of images is most prominent in CRT and plasma screens.
At the welding school I attended, we were taught not to remove the filler rod from the gas stream to prevent the filler rod from becoming contaminated and then being placed into the weld. Am I being too critical here or do I need re-educating.
Thanks for your question, Dan. You are correct. If he was outside the gas zone, the tip of the molten weld rod could get contaminated and transfer that to the weld. He is using a larger gas lens which gives better gas coverage, so he’s not far enough outside the gas area for that to be an issue. Let us know if you have any further questions. Thank you!
why no AC/dc tig, it would be perfect.
Exactly.
tig DC with helium. If you are smart enough to complain about a feature im not sure why you've never researched it.. Im not even a welder and I know it, check mr tig on weld.com :)
I bought my son a Miller 211 w/spool 150 , now he wants the Miller 215 mp? I told him he should just ad a stick welder w/tig options? Not sure what to think on this matter? Any help?
Bill, The Millermatic 211 will be the same output as the Multimatic 215 on the GMAW side. Al machine that would have nearly the same DC GTAW output and SMAW output as the Multimatic 215 would be the Maxstar 161. The option to add this machine vs replacing the Millermatic with a Multimatic 215 has pro's and con's and would need to be decided based on your personal preferences. If he were looking to replace the Millermatic with a Multimatic 220 AC/DC to gain AC GTAW capability, then the decisions to replace the 211 becomes more cost effective than to add an additional machine. Hope this helps, please reach out with any further questions!
how does it compare to the millermatic 180 on mig welding and how heavy of wire can you run fluxcore ?
Hi, Dylan. We'd like to connect you with a tech to discuss. Please send us a private message, and we'll connect you. Thank you!
not sure how to so that..
Not a problem, Dylan. If you go to our RUclips channel profile and click on the About tab, there will be a "Send Message" button available for you. Take a look and let us know if you have any issues finding it. Thanks!
I'm thinking about buying a welder of my own this year. I'm quite comfortable with MIG and stick welding, but only dabbled into TIG welding, and never hit good with it. Would this be a good setup to learn TIG welding on my own in my home shop?

does the 215 have high freq ac capabilities to weld aluminium
Thanks for reaching out. The Multimatic 215 is a DC-only unit and does not have high freq. Welding aluminum with this unit is done with the spoolgun in the MIG process, however, it cannot be used to TIG weld aluminum.
whats so good about high frequency? power?
it allows the TIG arc to start without having to first touch the workpiece with your electrode
Which one is better 215 or 200
Thanks for your question. That will depend on what type of projects you will be working on. On a single pass, will it weld 1/2” steel?
