It is so because when GS started and was invited into Geneva, their designs were copies of swiss watches. Then Gerald Genta came to them and said "throw away the watch book of switzerland and look into the nature" Their watch designs changed since that moment and now we see the most beautiful dials ever inspired by nature.

Of all the Grand Seikos this is definitely among the most satisfying pieces. It comes pretty damned close to perfection. While 12 mm is not too thick, I would have preferred it to be slightly slimmer. Then again the thickness clearly harmonizes well with the character and size of the bracelet. So it comes down to individual taste and not necessarily a defect on Grand Seiko's part. No annoying power reserve indicators and the back looks excellent. The dial is highly original and evocative.

It’s a great day to day watch. Comfortable and robust. Just wish it would keep the time better. Mine runs at +5 seconds a day, at +3 I’d be really happy.

At 5:26 this guy explains that the beat rate is 28,800 when in fact, it beats at 36,000. It’s amazing how many times he can’t get the beat rate correct in his reviews. Even when he does Omega reviews with the 9000 movements, he thinks those beat at 25,200 when it’s 28,800. It’s baffling.

@@stanwilson7040, less precise? That’s an hour hand, not the minute hand where precision makes sense. It’s easier distinguishable between the minute hand and perfectly lines up with the hour markers so you are wrong.
@@stanwilson7040, I can already tell you’re not a watch enthusiast just from the simple reference of you stating it’s an “analog” watch. From a legibility perspective, the fact that the hour hand is cut off, makes more sense and aesthetically … it looks perfectly fine and matches up also with the hour indices so you are wrong. Your words are not credible, nor do they hold any validity. Case closed.
