    This puppy should have been started in grooming at 6-8 weeks of age if not sooner by the breeder. The breeder will usually tell you what kind of care is required for this type of dog breed and how often. It’s a shame that he wasn’t properly cared for because he has the potential to be an absolutely beautiful puppy!

    Just watched this and must comment on the wonderful job you did with this poor guy. The owners should watch this video to see the awful flea bites and the pain and neglect they inflicted on this helpless puppy. Hopefully they will learn from their huge mistake. Horrible to let an innocent animal be left in that condition for that length of time. Good job. You're the best.

    My first time watching you, I can't believe how infested this poor little soul was. Well done for you and the other lady for helping him. I can remember when my cat had just ONE flea, the entire house was blitzed just in case he had brought in more!!!!!So with all those just on his head not to mention the ones on the rest of his body, I think the owner needs to check her house, her children, her car and any where else this lovely puppy has been. Really enjoyed the video ......I'll be back.

She has got to get her house under control. This dog has been sleeping with her child/children. It takes a village. People might think a dog groomer is a frivolous profession. Nope. People need a little help sometimes. You're educating. ❤ Keep on keeping on. God is with you.

I hope while he has been with you for a while, his owners have de flead everywhere etc. Failing that I hope they are scratching to distraction.. Flea bites and bruises his skin will be itchy and sore. Your shampooing will have helped so much. I think he may have ran out of adrenaline activity and will go home and sleep, bless him. Oh girl!! I know what you went through bathing that little pup. My first dog I rescued was around 8 months old and never bathed or groomed. Brought her home after a 3 hour drive and went directly into the bath. DANG!!!!! I really needed four more hands. That dog screamed, jumped to the left, then to the right( I swear that dog got her moves from the Rocky Horror Picture Show) and then went over the top of me onto my back. I grabbed her by the rear leg and yelled for hubby. And you know my hubby wanted to know what the heck was I doing and why the dripping wet dog on my back.......grrrrrrrrrrr......just grabbed the dog PLEASE.... Of course I was laughing how could I not with a wild dog that is dripping wet and trying to make a break for it only to land on my back........THAT should have been a clue as what lied ahead of me rescuing dogs.

    You are a saint. I can only imagine what is really going through your mind. I don't have to mince words and, in my opinion, this is CRIMINAL NEGLECT. If you can't care for an animal seek HELP!!! Many organizations will help with food and pet supplies. Also, this person's house needs to be treated for flees before this pup can return home. After a hurricane in FL many houses had flees, mine included. I washed and treated my dog, then kept him out of the house until I could treat all of the soft surfaces with the flee killer. That was the one and only time I had this happen. Please give us an update if you are able.

      Oh, I was definitely grossed out. Two things I don’t like are fleas and ticks. It makes my skin crawl. I definitely had a long talk with the owner when she picked him up. Hopefully I got it through to her. I showered as soon as I got home and washed all the clothes I had on in hot water

    I actually appreciate that u don't coddle the dogs, grooming table is NOT the place for it, with razors and sharp scissors u gotta let ther dog know this is not play time! I stopped watching "Kylie the Goomer" when i saw her breaking down and crying (real tears) with the dogs every time they put up any resistance and she wud STOP and hug and kiss them and reward them with pets/hugs if they snapped at her..., turning the groom into a 4 hour ordeal. Im thinking...ur just prolonging the inevitable!! Be firm, be safe, and let the dog know they are not running things!!! Get them out of there and be done asap..... I like your style! U obviously care for these babies, but ur there to do a job!!

    I hope the owner deals with the fleas that are sure to be in their house. Otherwise this poor puppy will end up infested again. When I was a little girl, my family rented a house that was full of fleas from previous tenants , two of my family members were eaten alive and had flea bites all over, not a pleasant time, and once the house was treated, we were fine. Hopefully this family will do something to prevent that.

    You did a beautiful job and it is a shame that his first experience at the grooming salon had to be when he is severely matted and flea infested. His first experience was a tough one for you and him. This sets in his mind what going to the grooming salon is like. You did your best to make the first time being groomed easy as possible for him. My sister adopted a 7 year old cocker spaniel from a rescue. When she went to the groomer for the first time she almost jumped out of the bathing unit when the groomer just turned the water on. The groomer said if she did have a grooming loop and one had on her she would have be right out of the tub and down the hallway. She does short sessions each time she gets groomed in order for to get used to being groomed. Some time people who get puppies with a coat that needs to be professionally groomed don't understand that the dog needs to be brushed every other day . Or the brush but don't use a comb to check to see if all the matting is gone. The coat is high maintenance. Some people don't understand or never had a dog before and it's all new to them. I hope she brings him back to you again to keep up his cuteness. People don't understand groomers have be all business when handling a dog they are grooming to set the tone that the dog can understand and stay calm inorder to be handled safely. He looks marvelous for all the poor pup had to go through the first time being groomed. I'm sure he feels sooo much better. Greetings from Pennsylvania .

      @@TheLuvOfDogs your so welcome. I am not a groomer just a dog lover . I have had dogs all my life . I am now 61 and still have a dog in my life. It's kind of common sense. Short coated breeds less matainance long coats and curly coats need to maintained ever other day. Just like humans long hair curly hair needs more maintenance more often. I'm from bucks county pa. My mom grew up in North Carolina . I understand the different cultures of both places . When we visit my cousins I just love all of the southern cooking. People have different ways in each area of this vast country. That's what makes life beautiful. I'm glad you enjoyed my comment. Looking forward to more great grooms.

    I really wish ppl would research dog breeds thoroughly before owning one…and not just for grooming purposes. There are so many factors that come together to make for a happy groom, coat condition being only one.
    I don’t do first time groom matted puppies past 4 months of age without Trazodone.

    Perhaps this is a stupid question…why do those eye boogers on the inside corners of dogs eyes turn into black plaster of paris? The only way to get it off the fur is to get it wet. Even a really warm very moist compress if you aren’t planning to wash your dog. What are eye boogers all about? ❤

    • @TheLuvOfDogs
      @TheLuvOfDogs  Год назад +1

      Definitely not a stupid question, a lot of the time they come from allergies and the PH being off is what causes it to staining on the coat. If it sits too long it hardens up and turns is to something like a crusty texture. Also if there is debris in the eye that’ll cause irritation and cause the eye to drain
