Top notch performance. The tempo was great and the registrations of the middle movement was so good!! Hats off to the organist. For once the music was played at a listenable tempo!! Too often things are played far too fast.
The 1st and 3rd mov.s are superb! I think the 2nd is a bit slow and the dark timbre makes me prefer other versions. But it doesn't bother me. Thx for posting this version, and the included score is a great wellcome.
You have no idea how Bach wanted "his music" performed. Undoubtedly. Besides, this isn't "his music." It's an arrangement of a string concerto by Prince Johann Enrnst, the younger half brother of one of the two coreigning dukes of Weimar, who employed Bach as their court organist and concertmaster. The arrangement is a commissioned work.
Johannes-Ernst Köhler (1910-1990). Really a very fine performance. The use of Vox humana gives a very peculiar or, according to Norbert Dufourcq, "with the Tremulant gives a picturesque one". Johann Ernst of Sachsen Weimar was a talented musician, player, composer and researcher. His father is the lyricist of the well-known chorale "Herr Jesu Christ dich zu uns wend". I would like to know which organ was used in this recording. Greetings from a Brazilian organist.

Velmi krásná s kladby J.S. Bacha! Provedení je rovněž pekné. Well done!
What a joyous entrance for a bride!
One of the most splendid concerto interpretations I have ever heard! Especially the vox humana in the slow movement.

solo stp sounds a bit harsh in 2nd mov
Awesome music. Shame it wasn't of Bach's own composition. I'd love to hear this preformed on a pedalcembalo.
Je speelt zo ongeveer de noten.Dat is alles dan.
