Drop your best woodworking joke
Pinning this so I finally have some jokes to tell Eden when she asks for them
His prices
From Eden:
“I have some good ones but I don’t want to crack you up”
I was going to make a joke about carpentry, but I don’t know any that wood work 😮😂
Why did the wooden table go to therapy? Because it had some serious knots!
This is absolutely one of your best pieces of furniture! It turned out so great! The crescent base was a stroke of genius.
Thank you so much!
This table turned out great! While I love how it looks, what I really love is how kind and giving the woodworking community is. Seriously, if you're nice to people, they'll gladly help you out and be nice in return. Great video as always!
David is so generous! Thanks for watching
I like the subtle shading in the black paint of the bent boards. It softly speaks of a wood base.
Always inspiring…!!! It’s always good to see how you're facing challenges and turning waste into art or furniture. Keep going; I wish you bigger and more awesome things in the near future. That’s what happy, humble, honest, and positive people deserve always. Greetings from Mexico! 🎉
Awesome with the cost breakdown. What a journey!
Thanks, Jesper!
This was a great video. Especially loved the open discussion about trying to sell it, shipping logistics, and the cost break down. All that is SUPER valuable to any aspiring wood workers. I subscribed after just seeing this video alone and look forward to watching more of your videos.
Thank you!
✨Croissant 🥐 coffe table ✨
Amazing work Morley!! Your coolest piece so far 👏
Nice to see some fantastic work coming out of Toronto area (close to me). So much to unpack... your design, attention to details, creative solutions to problems, how to ship to USA etc. Nice work Morley! Thanks for putting this out on YT for us!
Another great project! Always look forward to seeing what you come up with next :)
Amazing table! I usually don't like aesthetic of natural wood furnishings but this is very nice, I think it was the curve in the base that make a really cool and nice to look at piece.
Your the best. Every time I search for ideas I seem to stop on one of your projects and am left amazed
I don’t know what it is about you that I like. Maybe it’s
Your positive energy. We need more
Of that I. This world. Keep up the great work. 🎉
I dont even know how to woodwork but this man, this man inspired me and im learning. Also the 3D printing is just… chefs kiss… muah. Its everything I’m interested in. Keep up the nice work!
You have a huge fan from Brazil here!!
All the best that the package arrives safe and sound.
That's beautiful Morley!! Great Job!!
I'm a single shop woodworker, and a project like this would take me a lot longer. Kudos for your efficient timing. Would have taken me at least 24 hrs. Three days of hour shift.
Take that back. It would have taken me a month 😂
It was a very creative idea. Hope it'll arrive ok. Can't wait to see your next project 😊
Incredible work! I have to try out that finish
Morley that wood may have been free but your hard work is priceless! Plus you make a video too!
Thank you!
Been waiting on this thing to sell to get the video!!
Morley- you’ve got the best woodworking content hands down. Keep it up man
Thank you so much!
this shows most people can woodwork and make some money because there is definitely some more advanced woodworkers that dont even charge this much!
Awesome! I'm learning a lot .... thanks for all your hints!!!!
Table turned out beautiful great job. Great video
First time viewer here! I loved seeing this project! The spalting was gorgeous in that piece. I really appreciated your price breakdown (and conversion to USD so I don't have to do the math!) That honesty and transparency was really nice to see. I don't currently live in a location that allows for this kind of woodworking project, but my goal is to be in my own home in 2025 so hopefully I can begin learning from people like you and I can try out some projects myself when I have space. Keep up the awesome work!
"Water Popped the Grain" (that was key)....Beautiful Table....Sweet Design....that marine paint looked killer! Keep up the Great Work Brother!
It reminds me of an old world map. I love it!!!
It's hypnotizing to look at! Thanks for watching :)
What an absolutely gorgeous table 🙌
You are fun to watch! AND you are using wood pushers!
This one is a fav so far! I love it
Hi Morley I really love your videos, I started watching them a few months ago and it has really inspired me to work with wood and practice making things, you have really inspired me. Thank you so much.
That’s awesome to hear, thank you so much!
No problem
Absolutely stunning!!!
Beautiful table!
I like this one a lot, seems like you're a lot more knowledgeable recently too
When I see basic pieces from Restoration Hardware go for thousands $$$$, I KNOW this table you built is worth so much more. But I understand it's always a battle to find the right buyer. This piece came out so great! One of your bests yet.
Thank you so much!
Love your work man !!!! beautiful
Is there a way to preserve the bark I like the way the bark looks on the slabs could you like use resin to prevent the bark from falling off
What a piece and what a channel, hugs from Italy mate!
That really looks amazing
You are super talented. Great job!!
good stuff. thank you.
Awesome video can't wait for more
The grain looks soooo cool
Gorgeous table ❤❤❤
as many have said, this is one of your best works
You might want to check that moisture meter for accuracy. 1 to 3 % seems highly unlikely, especially in Canada.
I was thinking the same thing. Air dried wood has around 15 % of moisture in it.
Nice to see you again!!
Absolutely gorgeous
Just discovered your channel man, this table is amazing, wish I could have bought it
Found you through one of John Malecki's videos - really enjoying your content, especially the music.
Thank you!
Yo i just stumbled across you channel. Absolutly amazing craftsmanship!! This inspires me to get into this.
Wow, that is a nice guy 👍 "Just pick a few of these spalted maples, the birdseyes.." 👍
But, if someone deserves a friend like that, it's Morley! Mom agrees, right? ❤
to help strengthen the rotted areas on the top side try using wood hardener. it penetrates really well and hardens up any loose or soft wood. at least in my experience. I mainly use it on veneer to prevent splintering but couldnt hurt to do a few tests
Spectacular!
are we not gonna talk about how the drill and the background music made fire beat😂 amazing creations man keep up the good work!!!
Beautiful piece of art 😍😍 woaw
I love Penny. She and my 17 lb. black cat, Riley would make a purrfect pair. LOL The table looks so great. Good work. You are a master!
Wow this is super nice! I really wanna get into wood working.
This is how it is done, makers helping makers.
Such a gorgeous table ❤
Thank you!
That is so awesome!!
I wish you was my wood works teacher at my high school 😅 you are so good better than me lol you inspire me to make a small business out of wood working you help so many people stay strong 💪
Good for you Beautiful work Love your channel.
Great job! Looks amazing
Thank you so much!
That is awesome.
Just found your channel. And ready to start learning how to build. 😊😊
LOVE THIS CHANNEL!!!! DOPE! And there's no cursing! HAHA just a personal preference.
You are doing so well since i last saw you❤ and you still tank your mom at the end of your video's ❤
ive been binge watching your videos i think your my new favorite youtuber
❤️
Dang that is on point so far this week lol. Hope you feel better soon
He said spalted and I just screamed... I'm redecorating my house entrance, living room and hallway and spalting woodd is going to be the theme. Its just something that is so unic and isn't overwhelming to the eye.
Good job!!!😊🎉❤
Much respect ,nice video like it 👏🏼
I like the top, but I'm not a huge fan of the solid base. Still a fun project!
it looks ass ngl
One thing you can do to help protect your art pieces is to place a plastic bad in areas around your piece, then fill the bags with spray foam, and close it up, when the spray foam dries, it fills in the gap areas to keep your piece from moving around and getting damaged.
Love your videos! Keep doing them.
Would love to know about your hair care😂
You guys with your fusion models and such impress me. I do a 3d model in my
Mind while stoned, then go for it 😂😂😂😂
A tip for the "too close to the side:" you can use a longer bit to help if you don't have the right angle bit.
very cool!!
I love all your video. I love wood working 😍
Thanks for watching!
Looks nice
I think the base accidentally having a faceted look actually adds to the appeal, really makes the contrast between the top and base pop.
Congrats. I like it.
Gorgeous
Where do I find a guy that’s just giving awesome wood away like that. Wow.
Talk to woodworkers in your local area!
Morleyyyyy we missed you
I watch a lot of woodworking stuff , but generally think that people who try to smile all the way through their videos are just working too hard!
Nice table and great that you were able to "rescue" the slab from the scape heap.
"Cutting after curving" highlights that when making, we need to consider in-full how we intend to construct a piece, reduce construction complexity and avoid potential disasters. Cutting the additional lenght off and gluing it to the other piece before gluing and bending might have saved some angst.
Pineapple, Blueberry, yuka?😅 love your work, be safe on the road.
I think she was hinting (2:05), Morley!
Okay that pride shirt in the begining of the video is something I need for sure!
Blueberry, pineapple,yuka. Enjoy your riadtrip.
Morley thanks I love your work, Create and make that income.
Thanks for watching!
Holy poopies @MorleyKert
Kid in a candy store much? I'd have loved to dig through that collection!
Beautiful table. Didn't know that shipping was so expensive.
I've would of get a uhaul pick-up and drive 10 to 12 hours south, saving all the shipping and brokers fees, enjoying the view of a sumer road trip.
I've lived in innisfil,On now, I'm in Virginia, and I do the same for my customers. I'll drive as long as there is no more than 12 hours dirve and at least $600 shipping savings.
Put it this way 2 day trip at a minimum of $300 a day it's a cherry on top!
Cheers, my friend
Blessings
Oh, by the way
I love your work!!!
Watching your videos, I'm sensing a theme. "Ah, it'll be fine." I hope it will.
Does that finish that you put on it block the Water from condensation off of cups and stuff
