- Hey there RUclips, welcome back to another comic book video. This is the channel where we sit down and cover different comic book stories from different comic book companies. This time, we are going to jump back over to Marvel Comics and continue our coverage of Acts of Vengeance. Where we pick up with the Thor chapters. Where we see Thor going up against Juggernaut and barely being saved by a new team. The New Warriors, a new fresh young team coming in hot.

I remember the Acts of Vengeance storyline. I remember Daredevil getting absolutely screwed over with who he was paired up to go against... Doctor Doom!

I would say that Doctor Doom programing Ultron-13 to go after Daredevil on his behalf still counts as Doom going after DD.
@@RocKnight11 Doom and DD have cross paths before. Doom once switched minds with DD. He wasn’t able to use DD’s powers.
it's a great story. Ultron isn't exactly bad, and it's not as much of a mismatch as it seems. No spoilers- one of the best comics of the late 80s. One of John Romita Jrs, best stories especially the imagery of Ultron's return to life and the resolution.
It is pronounced Night THrasher (gotta hit that th sound) and Juggernaut as in knot, not nut. I love your videos, please keep them coming!!!

the Mighty Thor #411 is my favorite comic-book cover. Juggernaut is the first word I learned the definition of as kid.

Acts of Vengeance was very cool.
Juggernaut use to be such a powerful awesome character I guess that’s why Marvel writers nerfed him…. this will always be my Juggernaut.
Decades ago when I actively collected Thor, I had this book.
Tell the story when the Human torch, quits himself because a young boy, set himself on fire because he wanted to be just like him. terrible troubled. Johnny is later visited by the Beyonder!

One of my all time favorite issues. The first I bought. That cover! It looked like an animation cell!

this is one of the best stories of the event. I think the parts were better than the whole here - nobody really died (as far as I can remember), but there were a lot of character and team changes in books like Spider-Man, the Avengers and the New Warriors. Quasar had some interesting fights. That's a great comic, and it was written by Mark Gruenwald, who knew all the Marvel characters and tech.
Eric Thor is the one in Infinity Gauntlet!
the writing is so great in this. Juggernaut does not care about Thor. I did a fan comic with him vs the Avengers around here.
I see Thor as having the worst win record in comics . He used the Odin force in fights so Thor abd Odin vs most opponents he also used a hammer with a cosmic entity in it so 3 vs 1 . Cheating he gets a loss every fight he used his hammer . Bad writing
Issue # 411 still have this one, Loki never learns.
This and the Mandarin in X-Men were must haves for me..

I was collecting heaps of marvel titles at the time the acts of vengeance happened. Amazing issues.

Powerlevels are all over the place loll
I get that the same characters often fight each other but you can’t have characters fighting each other that aren’t close in power levels. Like Black Widow vs Juggernaut would be too one sided. You have to have someone like Thor or Hulk fighting someone like Juggernaut or he’d literally kill them with one punch.

juggernaut is a mutant, even without the cytorak powerup he's still super strong

I would like to see a rematch because Thor can hold his own against the Hulk & if he can do that there’s no way Juggernaut should beat him

I own that book and the character abilities were so badly written. I like both Juggernaut and Thor but that fight would not go down like that. They nurfed Thor and altered Juggernaut just for this story. It’s what comics do tho.
