'Why is it that we cannot find the answers in ourselves?'
    ---
This channel is managed by the Krishnamurti Foundation Trust, UK, and by the Krishnamurti Foundation of America.
The role of the foundations was described by Krishnamurti when he said, 'The foundations will see to it that these teachings are kept whole, are not distorted, are not made corrupt. They will not give rise to any sectarian spirit in their activities... nor create any kind of place of worship around the teachings or the person.'
We maintain extensive archives of Krishnamurti's original works and all four Krishnamurti foundations are actively engaged in the publication of material in various forms.
Our videos contain thousands of subtitles in more than 25 languages, translated by volunteers from all over the world. If you would like to help us with translating subtitles, please contact us at digital@kfoundation.org

I love these videos. Even though I know this video is about not following others, I've never listened to anyone who I can connect with so much. He just cuts so deep.

From the time that I was a young child I questioned everyone around me as to why they accepted (without question) the so-called "norms" & "traditional rituals". I was whipped & punished for asking so many questions. I was discouraged from inquiring about social accepted behavior. I also asked, why do human beings go to war? And why does their deity or deities approve of it? Why do human beings poison the environment and kill off so many species? Why are humans so out of alignment with Mother-Nature? I was either slapped in the face and scolded for being too curious or I was dismissed as being ridiculous then told not to take Life so seriously. So when JK asked the question about why most human beings do not study their own responses directly for themselves it is because they have been chastised by society for not blindly imitating social ways of thinking handed down from one generation to the next. And most human beings are afraid of standing alone, psychologically. Generally people assume there is only security in belonging to a group that share common emotional thoughts. Nobody wants to be branded as being a "weirdo" or become a social outcast. More so now than ever "socialism" thinking has invaded most people's thinking. You are scolded for "political incorrect" thinking or statements. Where emotions are concerned most people tend to be cowards and very lazy. People don't mind working their bodies to the point of ill health. But most people shy away from deeply contemplating how they think and why they think the way that they do. So most people have become "emotional-bots" without realizing it. The power-manipulators have very carefully indoctrinated most minds into blind obedience and apathy. In today's world most people are clueless and don't care about the consequences. And that is why the so-called "leaders" are getting away with trying to hijack the world into a one-world dictatorship disguised as being a one-world government to end war and to protect the environment. Behind the scenes, the wealthy pirate families have polluted our air, food, water and soil to make us very sick. Then they use other front organizations to offer solutions. It's a trick to herd the masses into crowded living facilities as they slowly poison us with GMO's, Chemtrails, and so many other physically & mentally debilitating devices so that we can't think straight. They want to slaughter most of us and keep the "dumb-downed" youth to brainwash and exploit. And it is the over-worked, under-paid masses that have allowed these things to overtake their lives (and their children). J.K. warned the people decades ago that the mechanical-age was going to take over our thinking if we don't start paying attention to HOW WE THINK. And most people wrote him off as being crazy. He said so himself. But now look at what has happened to our world. When was alive prior to 1986 he could sit outside and look up into the clear blue sky and not see a single poisonous cloudy streak of chemtrails (containing heavy metals and other pathogens). Mother Nature has greatly declined (as J.K. warned in 70 yrs. we are going to completely destroy the Earth - he said that in the mid 1970's). This means that if Humanity remains psychologically conditioned and relying on some leader to tell them WHAT TO THINK, then they will continue destroying themselves and the Earth. I've investigated J.K.'s teachings since 1977 and applied it to my life. I don't swallow every word that Krishnamurti utters. Instead I used him as a psychological-mirror to inquire & study my thought process when I face the daily challenges of the conditioned/programmed minds that threaten my life for not conforming to the status quo. I watch how I feel & what I think when facing the challenges of physical survival.
People are always making subtle and not-so-subtle demands to force me into speaking in a socially-scripted way. But I simply am aware of this without struggling to obey, escape or surrender. After all, the programmed mind is like a computer virus that wants to replicate itself and make anyone they come into contact adhere to traditional social-speak. I speak from a ground of self-awareness or understanding and not to gratify emotional insecurities. People lie to themselves about what they think & feel. They seek others to support their lies. I don't tell people what they "want to hear". I simply see what they are doing, which is being pretentious and phony about being benevolent or caring. Only a holistically self-observing mind can be benevolent & caring. Most people have allowed their emotional part of their being to become an automatic script - just saying what others expect them to say. But in reality they feel the opposite. Once a person detects the WHOLE mental process within, then you have understood the basic operations of all emotional-beings. We are all psychologically ONE. But it is the IMAGINATION that projects the illusion of being separate.

Amber Lane. I can't no add anything to your comment, its very clear to whats going on around the word. You have described perfectly, it seems you have rich that quality that ones needs to be the light to star a flame on others. Amber I would like to share with you some points of view about this and more, if you dont mind me?!

Then who are you preaching to?

    • @1996Pinocchio

I am 20yo student and I've been an outsider from kindergarden on and I've always enjoyed it to be alone. I don't mind if people see me as a weirdo, I enjoy it. And they know that all I've ever done was trying to help them. I think it's beneficial to ask simple questions like "Who are you?" or "Are you scared of death?" to understand how they think and what they are clinging to.
There are, in my eyes, two major interconnected problems. One is that people are addicted to wealth and money. The other is that people care very much about their social identity, which of course only comes from other people profiting from it because they can sell everything to someones who only watches out for what's missing. Which is problem one.
I have no clue what could be done here, but I feel like all I can do is to open people's eyes.

I like to look at it like an a/c unit. If it's cold outside, you would keep the heat on, so it would be warm inside. Outside and inside, don't have to be the same. You want to turn the a/c unit to cold when outside is too hot, and turn it to hot when outside is too cold. The a/c is how we reflect outside in our inside.
