Subject matter raised in this talk starts off fairly innocuously with the questions about time and repetition which K often discussed, but then it moves into other aspects more unsettling like religious practices and senility which we rarely dare to question because traditional conditioning has elaborately set up leaning mechanisms as part of the reward and punishment principles for maintaining so-called moral authority. We have been so conditioned that the very thought of standing alone is frightening to the psyche and therefore avoided at all cost, even to the risk of senility which medical professionals have renamed as dementia. Now insight into all this is quite important if it’s not dismissed outright.

This description of the hilarious repetition - which is what our lives are largely composed of - is so perfect, so apt!
I noticed that two famous political “friendenimies” - the late Gore Vidal and Bill Buckley - both expressed to interviewers independently when each was in the twilight of his life - how it then seemed all so futile.
And so it is.
It is this repetition that seems to be what destroys us! Haha!
And as K points out, this largely mindless, endless repetition is an expression of senility, even if we don’t appear “senile” in a clinical way.

All conclusions make us mechanical.Action based on these conclusions become repetitive,because the entity performing them is " absent",in that, actions have become more powerful and important than the performer of action!!!!When mind,the performer of action
"realises " its importance as initiator of all action,the cycle of repetetive action is " broken".Now performer decides whether an action is required to be performed, and the duration for which it need be performed.What has changed is,mind,as performer of all action,has become "aware" ,hence the master,where previously, it was a slave to repetetive action. In this mode,action is reduced to functionality- for survival of gross body apparatus,for enquiry into the working of the psyche.Towards this end,the need for food,clothing,and shelter have to be met.

@@risheendra1 What is psychological time? Do you know that there is no psychological tomorrow, and time is just thoughts because fear dictates whether our mind should be empty. Don't fixate that's what Krishnamurti's teachings are all about and study psychological time for oneself.
If you mean daily routines, situations from your life , some patterns , so you can change them , yes
And this happens the moment you realise how automatic our behaviour is , and as you change your emotional and mental modes of behaviour. Then you change other circumstances.

what we look like and think like today always changes with time - more for some, less for other humans. But, we will always 'be', just never in a form we expect. we haven't always been human and certainly haven't always been Jeff or Jenny and we won't stay jeff or Jenny (or human)...but we always ere and always will be. like you may've heard others say, we are stardust, matter, light, energy....like a butterfly or tadpole goes into different phases, so do we...our body is temporary, but we are forever. Our EGO isn't forever, but we are.Our ego is memory, identifying with family, country, political group, (these days) dietary group, etc. We are not ego

never. but, if you are asking about human reincarnation into another human - that is not what he means. If i bury my mom and my cat and then grow a vegetable garden over them and the roots branch down into their bodies and pull up the calcium from their bones - well, in that way, they have been reincarnated into me.
