      @sharklord596 2 года назад +2

      Because it was fixed

    • @derpmcgerp8062
      @derpmcgerp8062 2 года назад

      @@optimusprimefan84 it was Atlanta's fault in more ways than one. They just didn't run the ball as much as they should've. They stayed way too aggressive and didn't change their gameplan offensively despite the Patriots defense adjusting. Not to mention they stayed in two-minute mode the entire time. There were so many plays later in the game where they snapped the ball early instead of letting the play-clock run all the way down. I know the Falcons got up by so much because of that aggressiveness, but you can't just stay in that mode. You have to be able to adjust when the opposing team adjusts. Time of possession should've been the Falcons' priority at that point in the game.
      Then the icing on the cake is absolutely squandering their potential game-icing drive while up by 8. The Falcons had a golden opportunity after the insane Julio Jones catch to put the game away with a field goal. All they had to do was run the ball, stay in range, and kick the ball. They again stayed too aggressive and choked that opportunity. Matt Ryan shouldn't have gotten sacked at all during that whole sequence. Lmao
      Not taking credit away from the Pats though. They earned it. Took advantage when given the slightest of opportunities in big moments. That's what Champions do.

    This may be considered old school, but how about Los Angeles Raiders LB Jack Squirek's interception of Washington Redskins QB Joe Theisman just before the end of the first half in Super Bowl XVIII? Ray Guy's 27-yard punt pinned Washington at their own 12-yard line with 12 seconds left in the half. On the next play, Squirek intercepted Theismann's screen pass and returned it for a touchdown to give the Raiders a 21-3 halftime lead. The Raiders went on to win, 38-9. Squirek seemed to come out of nowhere, the ball raised high in his right hand in the end zone for the score. I hadn't even heard of Squirek until that play...

    The Butler INT should be no. 1. The Helmet Catch is a strong no. 2, but the INT actually won the game and represents the highest win probability swing in Super Bowl history. It's the most important single play in a Super Bowl just by that standard alone.

    • @whitty3210
      @whitty3210 2 года назад

      That helmet catch ended the season of the greatest football team to ever run onto the turf. Daniel Jones(accidentally said Jones, I meant Eli Manning) avoided multiple sacks to pass for 32 yards to connect with a one-handed catch that was purely muscled through a bat out attempt by a future Hall of Fame Safety. Butler's interception was crucial, but the sheer impressiveness of the helmet catch made it crazier
