the helmet catch
Y'all put Holmes' catch at 5 and didn't even put Harrison's 100 yard pick 6 on here. It's very clear that y'all had the weekend squad so this one. 😏
If you aren’t a big football fan, The Helicopter moment was made even more special by the fact QB John Elway was playing the 4th Super Bowl game of his career, and although it was widely accepted he was one of the best QBs in the league for most of his career, he had yet to win one, and that play just represented his drive and willpower to become a champion
He won back to back before he retired.
@@saucejohnson9862 yeah, this game was the first of the back to back championships
@@elohkayeye6277 RIP Dan Marino.
Facts him and TD toughed it out that day. TD couldn't see because of migraines and they still took down Favre's Packers; who had a legendary roster.
Elway was very overrated. Numbers prove it. Had some horrible seasons, only won them 2 Superbowls due to a great defense and also was a baby including crying to the refs about crowd noise in Kansas City and Cleveland. And also a horrible executive in the head office
James Harrison's 100-Yard Pick. One of the craziest things I've ever seen in football.
All for nothing
@@erikperez3186 they won that game
@@erikperez3186 What? The Steelers won on the TD to Holmes in the same clip here.
I was there
Harrison was, in the words of Chris Berman, rumbling, bumbling and stumbling and stumbling for that score
I argue that the final drive of Super Bowl 49 is the craziest moment in super bowl history.
Pete Carroll's decision to not run the football was crazy. Not Butler's interception. LoL
God dammit, you HAD to bring it up
@@juliusadrianmorillo3328 He had Marshawn Lynch as his running back, so the Seahawks would’ve been guaranteed a win if Wilson passed it to him.
And David Tyree's helmet catch is number 2
Dude watching that giants super bowl win was so nerve racking I thought it was all over but somehow manning got away from those defenders it was the greatest thing I ever saw 😂
I about cried when the Eagles beat the Patriots. I flew back home to Philly just to watch that game.
I straight up cried and got roasted for it. I did not care.
Did You Cry When They Beat Your Team In 04’?
@@troyh.2024 2005* but go off lol
God Bless I'm Thankful we would Take Care
You owe your entire fandom to Belichik being mad at brady
I will never forget David Tyree’s “Helmet Catch.” It will always make me smile. And bonus points for Eli avoiding the sack.
SNL did a perfect skit about this play.
I lost 100 bucks cause of that helmet catch. Still I was happy to see the underdog win it. A great super bowl
How funny, I won $100 because of the helmet catch.
Also thank referee Mike Carey for NOT blowing the whistle when Eli was grabbed or that does not happen. Wish Mike Carey can appear at events for fans to meet him.
As a resident of Indianapolis, who was hosted the game that year, we were so happy to see Eli and the Giants beat the Patriots. It was the next best thing to a Colts win.
Helmet catch definitely... Then wide right are my favourite plays in Super Bowl.... Maybe if tthe Giants get an offensive line we can get back to the big game
Can I copy and paste this?
I know you mentioned it but james Harrison’s TD is 100% a top 10 play. A 10-14 point swing before the half and 100 yards lol
That made me physically sick. A lot more than Holmes's tiptoe catch that won the game.
Honestly tho the santonio Holmes catch is really overrated in terms of that game yea it won them the superbowl but fuck me they wouldn't have even been in the game by that stage if it was not not James Harrison rushing 100 yards to return that interception the return itself was incredible the blockers taking out the Cardinals like dominoes some of the greatest blocking in NFL history
Philly special is the best play ever brought out in a super bowl as long as I can remember! It is forever inshrined in the hearts of every Philadelphian!! Foles is the man!!
As a pats an it was an out of body experience lol. It seemed all our superbowls had crazy moments
I remember thinking during Super Bowl 51 that this Super Bowl would never be as crazy as 49.
I was proven wrong, & it made me grateful I bought my Julian Edelman jersey prior to the game.
Those days are over.
Honestly I was always excited when the Pat's made the super bowl. Didn't want them to win, Dolphins fan(I know fuck my life lol) but man every SB they played in had me on the edge of my seat!! Other than the one with Goff, that was the worst super bowl I've ever watched
D. HESTER is the goat when it comes to returners and the fact that he isn’t a first ballot hall of famer is insulting.
The Philly special will always be one of my favorite play call in super bowl history🦅🦅
Im a brady fan and that was on my birthday :(
@@icyballerj5857 Well happy Philly special to you
Philadelphia should bring Nick Foles back for the 3rd time
That Eli drive was the greatest moment in super bowl history.. I remember being a kid seeing that still gives me chills
DEVIN HESTER GETTING SNUBBED FOR HOF AND WATCHMOJO!?!? The Disrespect for the GOAT returner, much like Hester himself is absolutely RIDICULOUS!!!
Watchmojo is bullshit. Those Chowderheads Might as well add the butt fumble to this list
For real and they added field goals on a craziest plays list like wtf
#2 That call by the Seahawks was still the DUMBIEST CALL IN ALL OF SUPERBOWL HISTORY!!!!!
Only because it didn't work.. The eagles one was stupid yet because it worked the play is dicksucked by patriot haters
@@arizonaFIREent Marshawn Lynch was UNSTOPPABLE IN THAT GAME. They had 3 chances to cover that 1 yard in that game. You don't get cute when the game is on the line.
Did y'all notice that when kearse catches the ball he wasn't touched he gets up and don't even try to get in the end zone he goes straight out of bounds with a 1min on the clock and a timeout
Devin Hester is the 1st and only player in NFL history to score from an opening kickoff in the Super Bowl, and THAT is an honorable mention?!
I mean, it was no where near as iconic or crazy as any of the other plays on this list. Not even the most iconic or crazy in the HMs.
Every Patriots fan has to say the insanity that was Super Bowl 51. We all remember where we were during that game.
Every Atlanta fan too 😢
NO kidding! That Edelman catch should have been #1 on the list.
Think the Saints onside kick should be higher just a bit. That was completely unexpected. The whole time I was waiting for the pile of players to be cleared, I was sitting on my hands. And I also just got teary eyed thinking of that whole game again
The pats comeback against the falcons will NEVER be undone.
How many times this week do I have to be reminded of Super Bowl 49 😭 Go Hawks!
It’s alright from a fellow Falcons fan!
Before I even clicked the video, I just knew the Helmet Catch would be number 1. If it wasn't, I would riot.
That 25 point comeback by Brady and the Patriots will never be topped. Better disappearing act than Lady Gaga’s at halftime.
My favorite the new York giants David three catch with his helmet.
Atlanta falcons vs patriots 2017. How Atlanta let them come back. Was crazy
it wasn't Atlanta's fault.... my theory is that Belicheck and Brady made a deal with the refs that they would get half the Super Bowl winning money if they agreed to give all the penalties to the Falcons.
Let them? there’s no way a team that hasn’t won a super bowl would let another team win and when you have so many great receivers and the best quarterback in the league there’s no way the Patriots would go as low as to bribe the officials
Because it was fixed
@@optimusprimefan84 it was Atlanta's fault in more ways than one. They just didn't run the ball as much as they should've. They stayed way too aggressive and didn't change their gameplan offensively despite the Patriots defense adjusting. Not to mention they stayed in two-minute mode the entire time. There were so many plays later in the game where they snapped the ball early instead of letting the play-clock run all the way down. I know the Falcons got up by so much because of that aggressiveness, but you can't just stay in that mode. You have to be able to adjust when the opposing team adjusts. Time of possession should've been the Falcons' priority at that point in the game.
Then the icing on the cake is absolutely squandering their potential game-icing drive while up by 8. The Falcons had a golden opportunity after the insane Julio Jones catch to put the game away with a field goal. All they had to do was run the ball, stay in range, and kick the ball. They again stayed too aggressive and choked that opportunity. Matt Ryan shouldn't have gotten sacked at all during that whole sequence. Lmao
Not taking credit away from the Pats though. They earned it. Took advantage when given the slightest of opportunities in big moments. That's what Champions do.
@@chubsstuart exactly
Where’s Leon Lett’s blunder on the 1-yard line in Super Bowl XXVII? It’s a classic crazy play!
DEVIN HESTER opening kick off TD is more than an honorable mention
Probably one of the best lists I’ve seen
Great list (even though I hate a couple as a Pats fan, I agree with them on the list!) ... I would add the first-play snap over Peyton's head for a safety in SB XLVIII
3 things I will never forget as a football fan, Wide Right, One Yard Short, and 28-3 #GoRams
great voice-over!
Although it made no difference in the outcome of the game in SB 7 When Garo Yaprimian missed the kick was blocked into his hands tried to pass it wound up in the hands of Mike Bass for a TD that was one that got forgotten on this list
That should at least have been (dis)honorable mention...
That was pretty good..
There’s nothing like a great, close
Super Bowl..
That Kearse catch was insane man.

Philly Special 😭❤️🦅
Eli to manningham was just a perfect throw
3 of these were Pats and 4 of them involved Pats. Go Pats all the way!
Sawnn, Tyree, Manningham, Kearse, and Edelman all had spectacular catches. I'll still forever say (including circumstances) that Santonio Holmes hands down had the Greatest catch in Super Bowl history.
Yeah, i also thought it was crazy how they were holding nick bosa on 3rd and 15.
This should be expanded into a top 20 list.
I remember watching santonio holmes make that catch, and I was shocked
I was ten when I saw the Rams vs Titans SB. It was so exciting I signed up for Pop Warner the next year! The game that made me love the sport
Tyree's catch is the luckiest in super bowl history. I would have put Edelman's catch at no1.
That had enough luck as well considering he was being tackled by 2 players
Seems like Brady was in everyone. Dude was a beast and easily could have won a couple of more it not for great plays. Some great plays and heartaches. Always rooted and felt bad for the Bills. So close and so dominate for so long. And nothing. Was fun to watch. Great video
The helmut catch was so big and deserves its spot. It's for a SB win and ends an undeated season and an interesting note for both teams bc they played in the SB twice and Giants got'em both times.
No surprise that most of the moments were from Super Bowls featuring Brady
I loved that after the Philly Special, local Pennsylvania jewelers were engraving the play in jewelry for sale.
garo yepremian trying to throw the ball in Super Bowl 7 then the Redskins running it back for a TD that put them right back into the game has to at least be an honorable mention. Way more jaw dropping than Devin Hester
Cam looking at the ball after the fumble
for me itd be hesters leadoff return TD. glad it was an honerable mention
As a Cowboys fan I'm happy Leon Lett didn't make this list for his goof in Super Bowl XXVII
Eagles being 1 of the 2 teams to beat the Tom Brady and the Patriots in the super bowl makes me so happy! I cried when the eagles won.. I also cried when the Eagles lost to Pats the 1st time. EVEN though they cheated.
The patriots didn't cheat lol.
@@Pomni740 😂😂opposing teams' signals were recorded, decoded, and relayed to Patriots coaches and players on the field during games spanning at least 40 games between 2000 and 2007.
The Eagles played them in 2005 .. as well as Steve spagnola even came out and said that the patriots knew EVERYTIME the eagles Blitzed as well as the offensive audibles.
Yes they did cheat.
@@DEnda-rn9mh You said they did it from 2000 to 2007 so what about the 3 superbowls they won after those years?
@@Pomni740 I didn’t say they cheated for every Super Bowl.. i said they cheated in that one in particular sorry for not making that clear.. they cheated when the eagles played them the first time.. that’s why the eagles in super bowl 52 held a secret practice in the hotel the night before super bowl 52.. look it up bud.
@@DEnda-rn9mh What secret practice?
I literally read this as the top 10 “super bowel movements”. 💀👌🏻
Eli owns Brady lol I wish the giants were as good as they used to be
Sb42 Eli was 19/34 255y 2td 1 int, Brady was 29-48 266y 1td.. In SB46 Eli was 30-40 296 1td Brady was 27/41 276 2td 1 int.... Literally the same both games Eli doesn't own Brady the Giants beat the Patriots... You clearly a casual fan that doesn't know shit about football
@@arizonaFIREent mmm I played the sport for 10 years but sure what do I know
NGL kinda weird how a point about Adam Vinatiery turned into a speech about how oh so awesome Tom Brady is. Lol
@@gl22222
Yeah, that's kinda my point. If any other quarterback had done the exact same thing, the amount of praise wouldn't be nearly as high as it was for Tom, and they would mostly talk about who made the winning score. Not a Brady hater, it just gets a bit tiresome to hear everyone somehow make everything about this one guy. Just like how every NBA story somehow turned into a piece about Lebron James.
Dont watch much fooseball but I know a great catch when I see it. WOW
As a broncos fan the helicopter is a moment I was taught about early lol that and the drive are the first thing my mom thought after explaining the signed John elway helmet when I was 6 lol
I seem to remember the Patriots taping the Rams walk-thru and knowing how to stop all of the plays the Rams designed specifically for the 2002 Superbowl. I haven't eaten Kraft Mac n cheese since 🤣
Lights hit the field

Part of the field

It does count
I honestly thing James Harrison - a D-Lineman - getting a 100-yard pick-6 should have made the list over a receiver making a reception.
Tomorrow Top 20 Super Bowl Matchups
Holmes game winning catch has gotta be top 3
The Colts player who muffed the onside kick was Hank Baskett, the only NFL caliber player my hometown has ever seen and will ever see.
I love being a NY Giants fan
This may be considered old school, but how about Los Angeles Raiders LB Jack Squirek's interception of Washington Redskins QB Joe Theisman just before the end of the first half in Super Bowl XVIII? Ray Guy's 27-yard punt pinned Washington at their own 12-yard line with 12 seconds left in the half. On the next play, Squirek intercepted Theismann's screen pass and returned it for a touchdown to give the Raiders a 21-3 halftime lead. The Raiders went on to win, 38-9. Squirek seemed to come out of nowhere, the ball raised high in his right hand in the end zone for the score. I hadn't even heard of Squirek until that play...
Could you do a list of the 20 worst super bowls?

already did that
I remember Elway's dive more than anything. I remember the overwhelming feeling I had when he did that and saying to myself "There is no way in Hell that guy is losing this game". The game was literally over after that play!!!
He’s racist and washed he owes everything to Td and his WRs
@@spookywrld1456 Who were non-existent in Elway's three prior games
@@fromthehaven94 go look again old man, Terrell Davis helped put up 160 yards and 3 tds! Not to mention John don’t even talk to td anymore he ruined his career and forced him into early retirement everyone knows it
@@spookywrld1456 This video is about specific plays, not whole games or careers. I do remember the historic 35-point 2nd quarter in SB22, though.
Santonio Holmes!
ill never forget the baltimore & frisco blackout. remember like it was yesterday. also wen new orleans won lol all my ppl was happy. and lastly... the malcolm interception was just ... man whyyy russell why
What about the quickest score in Superbowl history. When the Seahawks weren't supposed to win?
Touchdown to John Taylor in super bowl 23 not even an honorable mention?
Hopefully the guy running on the field during Super Bowl last year is on here. I bet David Tyree is #1
What fresh hell? ZERO about the fastest score ever in a Superbowl?
it there
Bradshaw threw the ball 60 plus yds in the air in stride, in the 4th quarter, under pressure. His career Super Bowl rating in his 4 wins in 6 years, back to back twice and 2 MVPs was a whopping 112.8
You know WatchMojo had the C squad on this one of the Holmes catch was number 5 and the Harrison pick 6 wasn't even on here. 😂😏
Only the patriots can get away with illegal motion with Edelman goin towards the line of scrimmage before the snap and a hold in the middle of a bogus Td play
Hahaha
Every time i see Superbowl 51 I get sick to my stomach dam you falcons you will never be forgiven
8:49 I didn't know Malcolm Butler was a quarterback
Now do the same video for the Grey Cup Championship Game. That's the Canadian version of the Super Bowl.
Falcons blew a 28-3 lead
Laugh now
DAMN YOU DAVID TYREE!!!!!!!
The Butler INT should be no. 1. The Helmet Catch is a strong no. 2, but the INT actually won the game and represents the highest win probability swing in Super Bowl history. It's the most important single play in a Super Bowl just by that standard alone.
That helmet catch ended the season of the greatest football team to ever run onto the turf. Daniel Jones(accidentally said Jones, I meant Eli Manning) avoided multiple sacks to pass for 32 yards to connect with a one-handed catch that was purely muscled through a bat out attempt by a future Hall of Fame Safety. Butler's interception was crucial, but the sheer impressiveness of the helmet catch made it crazier
@@whitty3210 Don't you mean Eli Manning?
@@JDBass36 yes I did😭 Living in the present
julian eldemans catch is the best imo

What makes a team driving down the field at the end of the game to kick a game winning field goal crazy?
I watched this to see where the elway helicopter spin was ranked at.
i knew Kearse would be on this list . super Bowl 49 is still the Greatest super Bowl imo
Santonios catch should be number one all though the Helmet catch is legendary Holmes catch was insane the Helmet catch should be 2
