Bambi, thumper, cool three ways, mow in the rain, the right way to have cars on the tracks in Ashland, yet another great grab bag
Been following the Rochelle cam for as long as I can remember going back to when the park was built and opened. That meet was every bit worth the price of admission
I LOVE The New It's Grab Bag Time Intro Virtual Railfan
I wonder when did they start that.
@@jackulmen5791 couple of grab bags ago
Camera couldn't decide which way to turn with all that great action at Rochelle, IL. Keep up the great work!
What. A. Grabbag. One of the best. Love seeing those GE rebuilds! Looking cleaner than ever!
Nice video!
Cool compilation. I love the Loram at 3:10 picking it's "feet" up to go over the crossing; super cool trestle cars at 8:10 and a decent length passenger train at 12:10. If that was Amtrack they'd lash five-six units to the head of that train lol.
LOL...really great captures today, especially at Rochelle!
I've seen the prism effect on new gates here in NW Ohio, along with some new street signs. It didn't occur to me what was going on until one day I stopped at a crossing and got a really great light show.
Love the new grab bag logo
The prismatic effect on the gate was amazing and there clearly isn't enough food available at Fort Madison for the deer making them look elsewhere for sustinance. 🤔💖
I’ve seen the extra siding that BNSF uses for a Business of some type beyond the Rochelle Diamond. 👍
You missed the U P that comes in from the north, and the short line that works a few yards around
bnsf picks up and drops off cars at the Del Monte foods there
Oh deer
"Now" we know why the chicken crossed the road. The chicken had to let the deer go first to make sure the walk was safe going to the dinner.
0:14 two hi-railing Toyota SUVs
1:12 All I can tell is that car was once owned by a Co-op in Imperial, Nebraska
2:13 that grinder is going quite fast
4:04 CN veterans unit as DPU in Parkville
5:43 a bunch of MOW machines in Ashland
9:06 warbonnet 669
13:43 CP 8781 as DPU
14:38 BNSF OCS stops and reverses
16:00 BNSF, KCS, and a Ferromex unit in the new livery
17:00 BNSF local takes the switch at Rochelle
19:30 9-unit light power move
20:53 NS 1068 leading
0:12 What a Car Parade in Ashland!!
…and intended to be on the tracks, a change in Ashland!
Nice grab bag
About an hour ago, I was watching the Rochelle cam on rewind and I saw that 3-way and I thought "well that ought to be on the grab bag." Then I checked RUclips in a different tab and I saw the grab bag and not only was it in the grab bag, but also on the cover! Also at 20:25 you guys forgot to add the John Deere tractors behind the engines!
13:06 that prismatic effect on that Crossing gate looks shiny and like a color of a rainbow! 🌈
Love the VR launch 🤣
Gotta LOVE this one too
Thx editing....👍
Ironically, the white SUVs at 0:32 and 0:42 (the Ashland, VA camera) had West Virginia inspection stickers. A LONG way from home....by rail, at least. :)
Cool three way
Nice
I am glad there is a real fan cam in fort Madison I can catch the action when I am not up there I live just down the k line AKA where the key line ends
17:30 A 3 Way Meet & a BNSF Triclops Engine!! LOL
CONTINUED; of editorial, and musical talent, means you're getting better all the time! As a suggestion, you might try,Holst's,"The Planets",or for weather related videos,Vivaldi,"The Seasons",plus Handel's,"Water Music",and them's for starters,as there are many thematic classics out there! Thank you for your always excellent editorial work!! You get those highlights down to a science! Forgot,on the NEC,one station,I think that you might look into,is Elizabeth,as it's on a multiple curve, and it's got a New York City background, plus during rush hour, you can get 3and 4 bagger shots,of trains on 4 tracks!! A very busy spot!! Thanks again for your time and effort 👌 💪 🙂 👍 🙏 👌!!
Those Deer's are looking for a restaurant that server a early morning breakfast. LOL
CONGRATULATIONS ON THE IMAGES A BIG HUG TO ALL WHO WORK WITH YOU A WONDERFUL WEEK BLESSED WITH LOTS OF HEALTH PROSPERITY AND ABUNDANCE TO ALL 🇧🇷🇺🇸🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏👍👍👍👍👍🍑👍👍👍👍🍑
A great and fantastic grab bag! 😃👍
Excellent
💐🎊🇮🇳💐🎊
Sorry… at 1:13 - Far-Port Coop Imperial Nebraska covered hopper.
Looks like the Fort Madison cam needs it's own Grab Bag
The title gave me a heart attack
Let's see; "Ride of the Valkeries"; BNSF,multiple 3 way meets, and the usual find the ancient history car equipment sagas! Your sense of edo
😃You guys are great - Grab Bag is my fav. Loved the Ride of the Valkyries with the VRF logo at the end. Made my day.
I love me a 3-way. Lol
Cars on the tracks in Ashland that actually belong there.
It's a mad, mad, mad, mad, mad railroad...
What will they do next?
Look! A car on the tracks at Ashland... That's SUPPOSED to be there!!!
So I go down to fort Madison to railfan quite a lot
Had no clue that hapag-lloyd had their own locos
the 3 way in Rochelle had a Triclops
Wow! Does anyone ever see a Green (or orange) SD60M in Galesburg (or near) numbered 1458??
great
Smoke if you got em
@14:20 That SP Paint on WAMX 4246 has seen better days...
13:05 was beautiful
is that water spray at the back of the rail grinder for cooling of the tracks after its been heated up quite a bit?
Rails and ties, both. In hot weather they spray the sides of the right of way as a means of fire suppression.
Puts out tie fires
I was thinking whatever the fluid is, it was a lot of it. Relieved to know it was just water. I thought it might be wood preservatives or herbicide
Very much yes to the new intro! Watching a new grab bag video becomes first on my to-do list when I get the upload notification.
With all of the rail linked cold storage facilities in town why didn't you get ANY of the rail servicing done by ANY of the railroads that work there 24 hours a day in this town? In my opinion, watching the rail ballet there is much more interesting than looking at threw trains going to or coming out of Chicago.
The crossing and the cold storage warehouses are nowhere near each other. How do you propose they cover that action on the other side of town with a camera aimed at the crossing???
VRF is always looking for new camera locations. If you "know" of a great location and know a business or person to sponsor it, send the suggestion in.
Good to see Santa Fe getting back into Passenger Service to Compete with AMTRAK. Their Pullman cars are more attractive.
What are they spraying on the track
At the 1:12 mark, could that be Frenchmen Valley COOP in Imperial NE?
What does the DP on CSX engines mean?
6:07 a "train" traffic jam!
and great colours....
Looks like the live cam is down.
No wonder people keep driving on the tracks in that town.
12:40 3 Way MOW!!!
BNSF 4723 MSTS Dash-9 @ 23:37.
667th "like." :)
Did you notice that Rudolph stopped and held every one back, looked both ways, then crossed the road?
"OK mama, all clear, bring the kids, lights are on at the diner at the end of the street ".
I sure could go for corn grits🌽 and a coffee ☕ 😋.
What does mow stand for?
Maintenance of Way
has there ever been a 3 way RACE at Ft Madison?
yes there has been on EB race of all three tracks, and it made the grab bag
@@johnstafford4304 thanks john
4:15 special CN engine???
Honoring the military.
1 train is neat
2 trains are a treat
3 trains are a feast (18:00) - especially when the 3rd one is in the middle going the opposite direction. Prismatic / rare military aircraft / rocket launch - who needs other channels?
Boo
Why did you say boo because your a hater?
@@Nascarfan39449 Perhaps they meant "first", but wasn't sure if they were or not, so they marked their new territory with the "boo".
@@thomasboese3793 lol
I want to watch TRAINS, not animals, birds, planes, or PEOPLE.
So why are you here?
The name says it all.
