I can't remember how many times I railfanned at the Flagstaff trainstation when I lived in Phoenix. I had to get out of the heat and Flagstaff was my escape. Have a great weekend everyone
Wow, the Amtrak Auto-Train with 15 double deck cars and 31 autoracks, business is good. But I still miss those purple GE's !! And the guys with the V-R sign and we love America - 2 thumbs up !!
Excuse me but no love for the high nose at 18:36?! LOL
Great Amtrak shots-!!
0:18 UP, CSX, UP, and NS lash-up
0:48 those ae some cool tall gondolas
1:53 a 45-car auto train, with only 15 of the cars being superliners! really shows how much space our cars really take up!
6:02 UP, BNSF, and KCS triple-ehader
9:26 WOW! NS 8101 and 8114 doubleheading!

4:20 Nice sunset at Roanoke, especially with the rain.
Looking at that AutoTrain and wondering whether there was any AutoTrain rolling stock that wasn't on that train!
Amtrak trains are a whole bunch smaller out where I live, generally 2 to 8 cars.
Auto Trains are, by far, Amtrak's longest trains. They can have as many as 50 cars, between coaches and auto carriers.
VR sorry that we missed your grab bag because we had to go to Florida
They probably think that the tracks are remote and nobody is watching. Wrong.
I like the situations you catch : thunder, strange police actions, all the guys on the cam, and ..There are so many army trains in thses days!! waouh ! Thanks
I was so bummed when that MOW truck didn't go to plaid. 😆
The radar was jammed.
Lone Starr!
the company my dad works at has a bunch of the landolls with the rail equipment decks
YOOO THE CREW SAW YOUR CAMERA?!?!
My friend has had trains honk at him and his house before from the engineers seeing his vids lol
What a great find a former Grand Trunk Western slightly earlier diesel model still an active service for Canadian National
Great work.
Thank You Virtual Railfan For Your Support
How does an Alaska Railroad gondola end up all the way in Arizona?
Maybe trying to get to Florida?
The demerg on that car has to be out of this world 🌎 😫...
The Story's it could tell after a vacation in the lower 48 states, wait, still have to cover 42 before going home 🏡 😀 😉.
And wonder what route it took
Maybe it had cargo that required a connector to a CP or CN line, then to an American railroad line.
Maybe one of those faeries that carries rail cars?
The car ferry is the only way in and out for the Alaska Railroad.
That Auto Train is still 1 loco short. And my neighbor across the street has a Tesla as their daily driver. Plus, cue the COPS music.
20:50 I swear they sometimes put safety cabooses the the most random areas, great grab bag!
Great video. Have a great week end
At least those 2 dipsticks will live to see another day after they see the judge LOL
Was that like the Auto Train record?
So Amtrak 46 has an ebell now?
Now I know what do with that $300,000 I have lying around.😁💰🏎
what were the slugs on the csx @ 22:32
So cool to have,& see America moving.
Dwi trespassing probably damaged the car and a tow bill... Perfecta
Can UP just repaint their locos already? Yuck!
Nice footage
🌺💮🇮🇳🌺💮
Are there plans to fix the video at the Curve?
A common topic among Curve fans. The Curve is 5 miles from Altoona. Fiber optic cable is $27,000 per mile. So, if anyone wants to donate $135,000?
But these 2 car drivers were suspected of what exactly?
Drugs or stolen vehicle. Especially considering they were in an area they weren't supposed to be, got themselves hung up on a curb, got noticed by the Railroad Police, and the local Police who nabbed them! DUI a strong possibility, too. It'd be easier to list what they weren't suspected of, and that would be plain old common sense! It's a commodity certain people seem to lack when they most need it! 😊🤣👍
Somebody must have put their bags of money to use in buying that Mclaren S720.
Locomotive vs Mclaren
Thats the nicest McLaren i've ever seen! Thanks VR!
The suspects were loaded -- in more ways than one
Dare I say that car in KC had.....curb appeal. I know, I know 😞😠
This is earliest I have been to a grab bag post
If that car wasn't blocking any tracks (which I don't think it was), if I knew I was inebriated, I would have left the car there and came back in the morning. Even if it got towed, the towing bill is a lot less then a 10K DUI
25:57 c’mon, NS. Blast and paint that caboose!
Well, maybe instead of scrapping it, NS donated it to a museum somewhere. But yeah, they really need to paint over the "NS" if nothing else. Any way to find out where it's coming from/going/went? I always had a dream to have one of those in my back yard. Once I get a back yard...
Yeah NS seems to like to leave their old stuff in bad shape for a while, I'm still waiting to see what's up with the coaches in the Juniata shops
Nice
oh cool BN 4111
👍Western Pacific👍🇺🇸
Amtrak Auto train guess:
Guess: 2x17x33
what I was off by (guess - if above + if below) 0x-2x-2
answer: 2x15x31
Besides the ugliest oversized rims that's a pretty nice 720S
I bet the guy at Santa fe junction had a few to many 🍺
Sure, but that doesn’t explain why the passenger was hooked and booked.
@@macmedic892 I wondered the same thing, but thinking about it some, I am guessing that probably neither wanted to admit to being behind the wheel, so they just take both in.
Wonder if that McLaren was coming from repair service, going to it or on a trip where the driver discovered it was needed?
11:14
At the PTZ locations (Pan - Tilt - Zoom) - and a few others that don't have that identity but obviously do have the capability - are you controlling the camera? If not - who?
There are moderators on the channels who have the ability to control the cams. There’s far too many cameras for @VirtualRailfan to personally operate.
Ooh McLaren
Wow McLaren
I don’t wanna be that person but that’s a Mclaren 765LT. The 765 has the fins on the rear bumper and the 720s doesn’t. Also the exhaust is farther up near the wing in the middle of the rear bumper as well. Again the 720s doesn’t have this. I still get confused and sometimes can’t tell the difference between the two but I have to look more closely at them when I go to car meets
Thanks, with time constraints and no expert around, we tried.
I knew something seemed off! That’s the one feature I’m always looking for to distinguish between the two. After all, we don’t often get to look at the engine
That McLaren catch was amazing
Actually I think that’s a McLaren 765LT! 1 of 765 made, kinda ruined it with the rims but definitely one beautiful McLaren!
Is spending $300,000 on a lime green car express the same issues as having the lifted dually diesel that rolls coal?
That McLaren is one beauty of a car. I'm not sure how much the average price of a Tesla in the US is but here in the UK, you could buy a Tesla for less.
A fully loaded Tesla is probably 1/3 of what a McLaren 720 will run you in the US. McLaren gets the exotic import markup like crazy. worse than Ferrari.
And the Tesla will eat that McLaren for lunch.
@@txrazorback6357 And in few decades, we will all be travelling with supersonic maglevs, watching a video of dark ages and 2 tonne machines that cost you couple of lifetimes savings. New kids wont even sympathize with a fascination with such a specific art, certainly not justifing it with its 1 second faster over a 1/4 mile. The main fascination will be ignorance of majority on topics such as pollution, conspiracies in government, eating of animals... Wait, nobody still cares... Well... It took 500 years to convince white people not to own black people, so give it a few centuries.
@@tippyc2 I have a McLaren just like that one
Some person has a nice car
For $300,000 I'd want a McLaren in a more sensible colour...
Half the point of having a McLaren is to let everybody know you own a McLaren.
@@jimmitchell6000 Half the point is a severe understatement.
@@jimmitchell6000 I own that same car but Helios Orange and the wheels are black
Who gave you permission to take a picture of my McLaren?
