    I am just a crafter. Beginner clay play. I’ve used air dry clay from Michaels and found that I could actually create something cute! But it was getting pricy. I tried a few diy homemade clay recipes on you tube and they DID NOT WORK AT ALL. I decided to try one more time after viewing this video three times. IT WORKED AND IT IS PERFECT!!! Now, I’m making all kinds of things!!!!!!!!! So far, I’ve colored small amounts of my clay with a dab of acrylic paint ( I’ve been crafting for 40 years, so I have nearly every color)…lol store wrapped tight in cling wrap and air tight container. NO ISSUES AT ALL! Thanks for the tutorial and inspiration ! I think the key is “ letting it rest 24 hours”. ……WATCH ALL OF THE VIDEO… don’t just read the ingredients, mix, cook and expect to use immediately. Follow the video exactly. IT WORKS 4 me! FYI……. Corn flour = corn starch.

    Jenna, your air dry clay is beautiful! Really beautiful! I want to ask you a few questions:-
    1. How long does it take your figures to dry?
    2. And do you ever get cracking on them?
    3. If you get cracking, how do you fix it?
    4. Can I put dry clay and new clay onto each other, will I need to use glue?

    • @Jenna_Handcrafts
      @Jenna_Handcrafts  2 года назад +20

      Hi...thanks a lot ✨
      1. Takes 12 to 24hours to dry completely based on the thickness of the clay pieces
      2. I find cracks only when my clay is little dry to handle. Solution is to condition the clay by rubbing in our palms.
      3. Cracks can be filled will fresh soft clay and blend it seamlessly
      4. Yes we can put dry and wet clay together with normal glue. Dry on dry we need E8000 strong bond glue.
      Hope this information helps you.

    • @Jenna_Handcrafts
      @Jenna_Handcrafts  Год назад

      Hi... One thing to notice while cooking clay is it should cook evenly, you have to press the clay to bottom of pan so every part of the clay is cooked. In your case I think the clay is not cooked in all the part evenly, adding more cornflour now will make it more sticky. So if you can press the clay to the pan with ur palm in low heat will remove the wetness of the clay. Then you will be able it work with it. I hope you understand my solution. Good luck

    • @Jenna_Handcrafts

      Hello..try with the same clay which you cooked already. Apply oil in your hands so the clay won't stick to hands, just press the clay on the pan multiple times in low heat. This will remove the wetness.
      Next time cook evenly.
