Thanks for spoiling that Indiana Jones is in lego Star Wars the skywalker saga. Didn’t even need to click the video to be spoiled just had to glance at the thumbnail and title.
Funny enough the joke was originally in Lego The Force Awakens, and Han actually shot the trooper. Despite being a perfect reference/joke, I'm glad they didn't repeat it and instead teased that they were, only to get Han's moment stolen from him.
@@smeagol-bp3wr Not really. The trooper was going to kill Finn, and Han saved him with Chewie's blaster crossbow. There was no Indiana Jones reference in the movie.
That's mostly because Harrison had a stomach flu, all that sweat on him is real sweat and this was supposed to be a sword fight but since he didn't have it in him and they wanted the movie done they just had him shoot which honestly is pretty realistic
okay this is actually a really good joke a lot of the new humor from these games is "wow there is an animal where its not supposed to be" but this was *genuinely* good
The Skywalker saga kinda broke off from that humor thankfully. By choosing to have a new voice cast instead of using clips from the movies it allowed for better jokes.
@@captainbean4219 How can Ewoks exist on Indiana Jones' Earth? Sure, that was a clear reference to R2-D2 and C-3PO put on an Indiana Jones set, but in-universe, that could be a coincidence.
I love how Han draws a gun/blaster, but never uses it in this scene due to family-friendly rating - the stormtrooper just gets comically hit by an X-Wing that's flying nearby
But Han actually shot in the Force Awakens game and everything was fine. In fact, there was nothing making Han's death in Force Awakens humorous at all. It was actually rather similar to the movie. So this couldn't have been for family friendlyness
@@JKBisms It was made to keep it light-hearted for all ages and bring that innocent lego charm. Most of the characters in this game don't die, with few exceptions like Qui-Gon and Order 66, but most of the characters either play dead, having their death being portrayed comically, or piecing themselves together after being "killed"
Reason it’s so short was Harrison had food poisoning. There was going to be a fight but they allowed Harrison to just shoot the swordsman and it works beautifully and comedically too
You know whats even crazier about it is The whole reason he was constipated in this scene was because the food provided to the cast & crew in tunisia made EVERYONE sick. Stephen Spielberg said in the documentary the making of Raiders that he was so lucky he packed canned food in England, mostly fruit, because people were not just getting sick, but SICK sick. John Rhys-Davies who plays Sallah was actually about to die and had to be taken to a hospital in another country because of it
Just finished that part of the story, I noticed it and chuckled knowing the reference. I’m just waiting for the 5th Indiana Jones movie and new game to come out so Lego sets can start and a new Lego Indiana Jones game to be made lol
I’m not sure if anyone felt this way but in a level from rise of skywalker finn or Rey hides under a barrel that you can move around it and it reminded me of the Lego Indiana Jones game where you can hide under barrels.
fun fact there was supposed to be a huge sword fight but harrison ford was suffering from dysentery and it would be very expensive so harrison ford just said "Why dont we just shoot the son of a bitch"
In the Leo Indiana Jones game after The Crystal Skull came out they had Indi shoot at the swordsman but he kept blocking his shoots but is defeated by Shala throwing a banana at him.
There’s two more Indy references in The Force Awakens. Mainly the Reap What You Solo level. The first one is obvious. Shortly before taking control of Han and Chewie, a Rathtar will roll towards the pair, like a familiar boulder. The second is that the Ark of the Covenant can be found in a crate, and destroying it with a bounty hunter (because it’s made out of gold bricks) will give you a minikit.
Everyone knows that Harrison was sick and thats why he shot him, but also it fits so well because it's such an American thing to do. Like "Fuck this bullshit I'm ending it now" vibes.
Disney: You can't kill them anymore with blasters or lightsabers anymore Lego. Lego: Okay "proceeds to brutally massacre them with an oncoming X-Wing Starfighter and the the Lego Brick destruction sound effect plays as Minifigure pieces go flying" Disney: A surprise to be sure. But a welcome one.
