Fives literally pointed a gun at Fox. If I was in Fox's situation, I'd have pulled the trigger too if it meant potentially saving my life or the life of my men.
@@EricGraham94 That was Filoni's initial intention, to show him being badass and heroic before his fall. But later he changed this so that younger audiences wouldn't be upset after the reveal
Pong Krell is hated in a stupid way because Clone Wars fans are generally not smart enough to understand that a good villain is supposed to be disliked. Most of them are weird Anakin humpers who get offended when you say that him killing the Jedi younglings was actually a bad thing to do.
Agreed, they basically made scorch a mindless empire shill and hemlocks bitch, and he gave commander fox a run for his money in not thinking for himself and questioning orders and going along with the empire experimenting on clones and that didn’t raise any red flags to him, they honestly should’ve made their own clone commando with unique armor and not ruin this character, it was painful and frustrating to watch scorch be portrayed in that manner.
I personally don't think that the Scorch from Bad Batch is the same character as the Scorch we all know and love! Two separate characters with the same name.
@ebonkinght I am very sure they already did. Commander Scorch had a standard clone commando backpack and his armor is more clean. While Delta 62 has his classic demolition pack and classic battle weary armor with his coloration.
I also hate the Battlefront 2 campaign because it feels like false advertising. The trailers presented the story as something like an "Imperial side to the story", but the protagonist is only an Imperial for 3 missions and then switched to the Rebellion for the rest of the campaign.
I hate it because the story is stupid and leads to the sequels, the lore like operation cinder is terrible and the fact that you play as a woman although the empire is literally sexist and doesnt allow women in their ranks.
@@GreenNinj4 To be fair the Empire not allowing women hasn't been a thing since at least the 90s. The OG Thrawn books had women serving aboard the Chimaera
Okay the Ewoks are fucking terrifying though. They do hit and run attacks at night with only the storm troopers screams being heard while their bodies were dragged away. They eat people (there's no debate, they were literally going to cook and eat Han, Luke, and Leia in the movie) and they are constantly attacked by gigantic animals which is why they mostly live in the trees and had those logs set up long before the empire ever got to the forest moon.
They have stick and stones. Their attack should literally pathetically bounce off a stormtroopers armor, doing jackshit except _maybe_ knocking them down if they hit them really hard or stunning them with a headshot. But no, apparently literal stone weapons and slingshots can penetrate stormtrooper armor. What a joke. Hit and run doesn't work when you can't perform the hit part of hit and run, except their shitty weapons somehow can.
@@alzhanvoid ewoks pack a strength of wookie in a body of jawa. And may i temind you, in disney canon you can have an average girl slapping stormtroopers to helmets and still knock them out
This is very true, but you have to remember that often times people just suck at consuming media. If you look at a character like Pong Krell, he's written to be a despised villain. But most Clone Wars far are far too dull to understand that. Many of them are weird Anakin humpers who get sincerely offended when you say that it's a bad thing to kill Jedi younglings.
The funny thing is pong krell wasn’t even a separatist or was fighting for them he was just a count dooku meat rider who thought that making the republic lose the battle would mean that count dooku would make him his apprentice even though the count had never met him or known about him
Yeah, I was really engaged with the idea that there were some Jedi who were jaded by the war and treated the clones as expendable, and I really wanted Anakin to come and reprimand him, further driving his disillusionment with the Order. After Krell revealed he wanted to be Dooku’s apprentice, I found the plot twist far-fetched and unsatisfying
I think the idea people get of her being karenesq comes from the lack of droid character development imo. There certainly has always been droid brutality, droid hatred and lack of recognition of sentience but I think that comes down to the generation that grew up on the prequels and clone wars tv show seeing it always in a comical light. Had those scenes been much more gritty like the way r2 and c3po are actually treated in the original series people would give this a second thought
I'm with Fox honestly, yall would've done the exact same if not worse in his situation. Followed his orders, Anakin wasn't cleared to chitchat, and Fives was spouting like a mad lad and reached for a blaster.
Nah, if I was Fox's boots, fives would've survived. He doesn't know I'm there, and I have him out numbered like what eight to one? Yes, a stun round may not be effective, but good luck taking eight or more to your spine.
I mean keep in mind fox does directly work for palpatine and probably assumes Anakin is really important to Palpatine so when fives points a blaster at him he probably thought he had no choice but to kill him to ensure palpatines plan@@mark9960
I actually never disliked Fox. If you actually think about it, from his POV he’s literally just doing what he’s told. People hate him for doing his job. Especially with Fives death, all he would’ve seen was an apparently insane clone trooper threatening a superior officer with a firearm.
Yeah until you actually watch the scene and notice that Fives was in fact unnarmed and both Anniken and Rex were listening to him, they even show you that Fox clearly sees them talking before advancing with raised weapons, hell fived doesn't even touch a blaster UNTIL Fox and his men start pushing him
@@BlinkingEldrichRoses You are a law enforcement force, you see an obviously deranged man with your two superior officers, you move closer to get a hold of the situation and try to calm the man, then he goes for a lethal weapon and raises it to your superior officer's head. Fives downfall was his own for reaching for the blaster.
Exactly. Just take that scenario to our reality. A cop is about to arrest an allegedly violent and dangerous suspect and orders them to get down. The suspect acts nervous, almost like he's high on drugs. He's not listening to the order and graps a gun. Literally EVERY cops next response would be to open fire. That's what they are trained to do in this situation. So considering he had no clue of Fives motivations, Fox did nothing wrong by just acting according to the book.
9:32 This is just not true and has never been true. From the very first movie, droids were meant to be an allegory for slaves. George Lucas said it himself. And droids have *always* canonically been sentient, and there have always been droid rights activists/droid liberators even before Heir to the Empire came out. The idea that droids are just robots seems to be a mix of Filoni intentionally diluting this idea in his shows and a weird blind spot in people's analysis of the film. I don't understand how even lore channels covering the EU make this mistake given that a simple EU Wookiepedia search for the page on droids lists them as sentient
@@ethan_garrell46807 Funnily enough, while I consider myself anti-woke (although I don't really fit in with the anti-woke crowd nor do I like the more extreme ones since they make all the criticism seem invalid with bigotry), that has come from my lore concerns more than anything, and the fact that people who aren't anti-woke and do find themselves supporting a lot of Disney projects find this droid activist character 'jarring' just baffles me. I understand why right wingers might dislike it, especially politics brained woke rightists, but people who actually like the franchise? I mean, the Acolyte and Ahsoka were clearly inferior just on an acting basis let alone wokery, and those same people either lapped up those shows or thought they were mediocre.
Fox really gets to much hate. If you look at him objectivly, Fox was the perfect Clone, he was everything that a Clone trooper should have been. He was skilled and competent, down to the bone loyal to the republic and chancelor, followed orders without questions, did whatever was needed of him, but still was fair while doing his job
Ewoks actually use paralyzing poison and target the rubbery less armored parts of stormtroopers, you can actually see a scout trooper get hit by a small arrow in the back of his neck and he hits the ground immediately in ROTJ
Its pretty funny that when Fox takes Ahsoka in he says that he doesent even really blame her for killing Leta but orders are orders and well they caught her red handed. For Fives bro was ranting about conspiracy theories and has Anakin and Rex hostage he was asked to stand down but he willingly whent for a gun. Granted he was drugged out of his mind but there is no way Fox knows that since even Anakin and Rex didn't figure it out. For Fox nothing was really personal bro was just doing a job. Also lets not kid ourselfs that Anakin hasent commited way worse acts.
Pretty much, in a sea of trying to force unique clones, Fox stands out as what the clones are meant to be and probably mostly are. Loyal to a fault, not much different from programming of droids but leave it to star wars fans to sulk over some Glup Shitto death without really looking at why.
@@cpt_frostbitehe’s actually my favorite clone commander… I never understood the hate because nothing he did was really his fault, and the only crime he committed was doing his job. Also, just to add to what others have said, before Fives even pulled a gun, the chancellor had told Fox that Fives had tried to kill him… the leader of the freak’n republic
I would say people should stop hating Fox. Guy was just doing his job like any typical real life police officer. I am not saying that "I like this character" he is just neutral to me.
2:26 its not exactly unrealistic though. The Battle of Endor was meant to be based off the Vietnam War in which a lower tech civilization wins again a civilization with technology that’s more advanced and modern. The Vietnamese used all sorts of traps and tricks, most notably the punji sticks, and the Ewoks in Star Wars had the aid of the Rebel Alliance when the Rebel Alliance was at its peak
9:45 Unless your roomba needs a restraining bolt to prevent it from deliberately trying to escape your house, I don't see how it is equivalent. Think about it, how is it that droids are able to run away from their owners to the point that special bolts that *restrict their movements and can zap them if they disobey are needed to keep them in check* despite the droids already having internal programmes that limit their free will and ability to act independently? Robots don't disobey orders like that. AIs can to an extent, but they aren't intelligent in the same way as droids, are they?
I was gonna say this. People realize droids are sentient right? Just that their programs stops them from thinking and you have to literally wipe their memory in order to stop them developing personalities anyway….
Im like 3/4s through this video and Im not hearing it. Ive certainly heard content creators change the pronunciation with a repeating word. I think its an engagement tactic, or rather, the video maker wont be corrected for a single instance if theres too much to bother. Or even the embarrassment of hearing yourself mispronounce something after learning it correctly. Also AI voiceovers will often mispronounce and it’s usually how I would distinguish them. But I ain’t hearing that at all in this particular video.
Scorch's first canon appearance was in clone wars with the rest of delta squad. They had a blink and you miss it cameo in season 3 episode 14 "Witches Of The Mist"
@@StickmanAnakin pretty much the only appearance of Scorch where he isnt a background memberberry outside of Republic Commandi game is Republic Commando novels
Honestly, his appeatence in the Bad Batch might as well be his first canon one considering that he had like three seconds of screen time in the Clone Wars.
Could have been executed bettern but I liked the concept of L-3... Even in legends, droids being sentient and starting riots was in fact quite common... And I find it interesting and totally plausible in the star wars verse to have a droid with such a persona, trying to push every other droids to riot but 99% being unresponsive to that message. Since most droids are not sentient like L-3, yes, we cannot considers them as 'slave', but once they become sentient, like L-3, its a whole other story... And its normal for her to want to be free, but she extand it on other droids that dont have her level of self awarness. For the rest, I fully agree: Fox is underrated and just embody how clones are supposed to be, efficient and following orders. Ewoks didnt destroyed the empire, it was an hit and run guerilla start like vietnam, of course they would not have stood a chance alone, even with the big terrain advantage... And they can be really scary.
These people never played Ewok hunt those things aren’t cute they scary asf they also almost single handedly killed the main characters for a feast like bro what
I should point out despite their cutesy demeanor Ewoks are pretty savage little creatures, they were planning to eat Luke, Han and Chewie with no issue before Luke had to make Threepio pretend to be a god.
I really enjoyed the Bad Batch. But it's annoying how the show never elaborated on the inhibitor chips after order 66, especially their effects on characters like Scorch
Regarding the femenist droid, the movie takes place 10 years after the end of the clone wars. Apparently many worlds in the outer rim had some resent towards droids after said war.
13:56 To play devil's advocate, she was the Sequel Trilogy's Boba Fett from an objective standard. Arguably she played an even bigger role in her trilogy than Fett did. The issue really was Disney promoting her and using her so heavily in marketing before the movie and the scene with Chewbacca, not her actual portrayal in the films. I mean come on, are we going to pretend that Fett in Episode 6 lives up to his lore reputation? The difference is that George didn't treat him like a big deal, and you can argue that that is because George didn't even know that Fett was a big deal with fans.
Fun Fact: The Bad Batch is NOT the first canon depiction of Scorch or Delta Squad. That would be an episode from Season 3 of the Clone Wars where all 4 appear at the beginning of the episode to return a deceased Jedi Master's body to Coruscant. As for Scorch being completely different, I always lent credence to the idea he became completely jaded after not only losing Sev, but not being able to even try to go look for him. Which resulted in him losing his humorous personality, especially after Delta Squad is (presumably) disbanded following Order 66 and he's completely reassigned.
You clearly don’t know the difference between disliking characters cause they’re MEANT to be disliked and disliking characters cause they’re poorly written.
I don't think anyone dislikes these characters. They're just characters you love to hate. Pong is a fucking badass and he is the quintessential villain but I dont think anyone dislikes him like that. He's just a character we all love because we hate him
6:49 I disagree. Any message the writers wanted to try and push is destroyed when they make Krell an enemy mole. None of the potential ramifications the arc held ended up actually mattering. And it is telling that the writers were more willing to have an openly evil Jedi rather than ever have a bad clone character, which we have never seen (other than the attempted vilification of Slick by the writers despite him being correct about the clones' predicament).
I just prerend that republic commando is canon and the scorch we see in the bed batch is just brainwashed by order 66 and I like to say that he survived the bridge fall and the fall turned off his chip so now he is back to normal!
I feel like the Mods in Boba Fett are just another sign that his story SHOULD have evolved towards Nar Shaddaa, instead of just dumping Boba back to the ONLY setting we've really seen him in. Their cyberpunk, bright-but-grungy aesthetic would have been a winning blend in Space Vegas.
2:52 George Lucas absolutely didn't start it. Again, if you have any comprehension of basic strategy, the battle we saw in the film was unwinnable for the Empire. That is precisely what George wanted. The Empire underestimated the ewoks so much that they hadn't even monitored them despite having all these secret facilities around, leaving all their troops exposed in isolated pockets, and the Imperial battle line broke as soon as the Ewoks attacked due to the officers being arrogant buffoons.
Can't agree with your take on L3-37, because it's not at all like the roomba, I'd pay to see a bar specifically for roombas like they do for droids. They do frequent memory wipes specifically to keep droids in line, not just the restraining bolts alone. It's like if you reset someone's brain regularly so they never had the ability to develop as a person on occasion as well as strapping them with collars that keep them doing what you want. If you wanna argue droids can't have actual like sentience and such, then there's an argument, but as is that's just false equivalence. (I know the video isn't specifically about her so no point in diving deep here, just giving my 2 cents.)
16:15 Ehm.... Nope? She clearly loves Omega. If Omega was just a scientific achievement, she would have proudly allowes Hamlock to use her blood in Project Necromancer. Instead, she risked her own integrity and even blew herself up to protect Omega. (Not saying she doesn't deserve some hate, of course. What she did to Fives was unforgivable)
am I the only Star Wars fan who actually really likes L3-37? I thought she was pretty funny and sassy (and it would've been so freaking hilarious if she, Chopper, and K-2SO went on a mission together)
L3-37 is awesome but she retroactively kinda confirms droid sapience which recontextualizes every piece of canon material. However, I believe droid sapience was clear before her debut due to the continued illogical actions seeminly befitting living beings but were taken by droids.
Yeah, honestly I feel like people just write off all the stuff behind droids having their own sapience previously just because L3-37 gets seen as "ew activist, i dont want politics in my show".
@PogoMeraki same people who claim "star wars was never meant to be political, it's just meant to be a space opera with wizards and laser swords" as if the original trilogy and prequels didn't contain plenty of politics
Your point about there being a droid activist not making sense doesn’t make sense in it of itself. Most of the droids we see in Star Wars are clearly sentient, experience emotions like fear and happiness, and in some cases could literally feel pain for some reason. We constantly see droids being scared of death. If anything, it’s a little weird that we don’t hear more about this kind of movement in universe because, yes, the droids are essentially slaves. The way Star Wars presents its droids makes that comparison completely acceptable. Droids, especially ones who don’t get their memory wiped for extended periods of time, like R2, 3PO, Chopper, the B1s, and yes, L3-37, have very pronounced personalities. That makes sense as a story avenue to explore in this world because many beloved characters are droids, and that ideal of storytelling is also in line with how for every Star Wars movie George made, he was commenting on stuff happening at the time or in recent history, sometimes very not so subtly (like Vader directly quoting Bush in Revenge of the Sith). The problem with L3 is that it’s treated like a joke in Solo rather than an interesting story thread. Her character is basically poking fun with her comments about droid rights being entirely played as a gag as they portray her as the “annoying feminist/activist” stereotype
Hmm yeah, I think I should've thought about the L3 take a bit more in hindsight. Good take here. My thinking process was, that them being sentients itself doesn't mean that they feel oppressed as they still follow their programming in the end. I just followed the overall consensus of how they are portrayed in Star Wars. So I'd agree that we just didn't explore this avenue well enough yet and I think the L3 take on it was the wrong way to go about it. But it could definitely be an interesting story avenue to go down if executed properly, it has been seen in Star Wars before.
8:25 - You make a really good point when you pointed out the stories they should have done instead. It's just horrifying to see it all dumped for... that...
I actually quite like fox. I understand why people dislike him and I don’t blame them, however I like that he is a perfect soldier who will do anything asked of him, by any means necessary.
Scorches only other appearance was in the clone wars during the Savage Oppress arc. He and the other commanders of Delta squad were there for a brief few seconds giving the debriefing to Obi-Wan and Plo Koon
The "Vespa Gang" from the Book of Boba Fett frustrate me because I feel like they could have been really cool and interesting characters if they were introduced in a different setting. The idea of "mods" is a little cheesy but kind of cool, and it matches well with the cyperpunk futuristic aesthetic that was given to Coruscant in the Prequels. If they had put the gang of mods into a story set on a large city world, it would have worked really well.
Fun fact: my great grandmother helped give dialect for the ewoks. She spoke a bunch of words in Kalmyk, her language, and they used it for some of the ewoks. In fact, when the ewoks are tying up the heroes to eat them, their singing is actually her.
It makes sense from a character perspective that Fox would act the way he would. He doesn't know Ashoka like Anakin or Rex does and any other clone other than the ones that she's fought along side with would probably have done the same.
Yeah I was trying out a different editor for this video and there were a lot of complications, hence the quality is worse in my opinion, what did you think about the caption up top? I find it a bit jarring but was willing to give it a try..
@StickmanAnakin That's alright! The way I see it everything is worth trying! As for the captions, I'd say they're passable! Could be much worse for sure, but they're a little oddly spread out if that makes sense. I muted the video as an experiment and they don't quite line up with your speech patterns. As an example, at 0:25 when you say "A lot of fans used to dislike him due to two big things", the subtitles feel a little oddly displayed. As they show "DUE TO TWO BIG THINGS FIRST", which makes it feel a little weird to read, as "FIRST" Was in the following sentence, but the subtitles made it look like otherwise. I hope my explanation came across okay! I can find it tough to explain things at times 😅 but for sure, this video was really great regardless!! I hope you keep up this style of content! 👍 Edit: Lol sorry! I somehow tagged you three times in the reply 😬
Appreciate the time you took for the insight :) Yeah they are spaced out so weirdly, I think the editor used some sort of AI for it. I think I won't be using it like this again though as I personally didn't like it. Glad you enjoyed the video regardless though, motivates me to keep making more!
For all the Europeans/History Geeks: Im really convinced, that the Ewoks vs. the Empire is kinda referencing the Varus Disaster (Varysschlacht in German), where the most dominant and advanced army of their time gets decimated by some forest people. Personally I really like the Ewoks and the part they play, as they also show how even the most basic things can be used to defeat a stronger enemy, if used correctly.
Love your videos, I only want to add a constructive comment about them, and lower the volume of the SFX please! For the rest you’re doing amazing man, you have an incredible potential ❤️
Thanks for the kind words :) Yeah the sfx are too loud on this video. I was working with a different editor on this video and I wasn't too happy with the final product in general. I'll be paying more attention to it though on future videos. Do you listen to it on headphones or how do you notice it being too loud?
True, but to me they could have change scorch to darman from omega squad. Reason why? In legends he watch his jedi wife being killed in front of him and his family and stayed on coruscant to help an injured Niner, after he became cold and didn’t care about anyone, family & only his son.
The thing about L3-37, however, is that she's right. When the Clone Wars ended, Palpatine started a hate campaign against droids of all kind that bad mouthed them and created paranoia about them and insisted they need to be treated poorly for their existence, especially playing into everyone's traumas with the battle droid series of droids that fought in the Clone Wars. And Palpatine succeeded in this campaign, as we see in the original trilogy how R2-D2 and C-3PO are treated poorly when they arrive at the bar in A New Hope, or how people like Din Djarin allowed their PTSD with the battle droids to justify viewing all droids as terrible or lesser beings. Yes, L3-37 is often seen as a joke character with what was going on between her and Lando, but her dreams of wanting droids to just be treated and viewed better were very real. And it's sad to see her misunderstood here in this video, considering her awareness at the topic if she's a droid freedom fighter, only for her to die, and for Palpatine's propaganda to continue forward years into the future as evident once again by events within the original trilogy and The Mandalorian. I get it's your video and your opinions on the characters, but again, L3-37 had a real motivation for a real problem that was long established within the Star Wars universe.
You can't like every character in star wars. There has to be some characters that are annoying and challenge the character you like, even If their annoying.
I think Nala Se, Krell, Commander fox are good characters for the plot. They are supposed to be disliked. But there I'm pretty sure the same cant be said for Trace or Rey and such
Visual editing is top tier for this quick paced image style of RUclips videos but you're the first I've seen to utilize sound effects... and unfortunately the likely reason why others who use this format just stick to the visual aspect. I don't want to just be negative and add to the chorus of "Sound effects bad" so I'll say what I found to be genuinely impressive about your editing and writing skills. Your humor is well timed, which is the most important part of comedy, the script and voice over aligning is flawless, and general flow of actual informative explanation is good for people who would prefer just a quick summary when there are videos on this website that would spend the full 20 minutes of this video's length focused on explaining just one of the characters.
You are absolutely right. I watched that episode of the bad batch before sleeping, when I usually dont care too much about whats happening on the screen but when Crosshair finally shot the imperial, I was so relieved, it felt like never before, justice had been needed to be brought so badly.
Didn't see it mentioned, but pretty sure our first canon look at Scorch was when they delivering a body to the jedi, another dead jedi. Sure, they didn't say much of anything then, but I just felt it necessary to add that the bad batch was not the first canon appearance of him.
Doesn’t help that L3-37’s actress infamously lied through her ass about the character. She said “there was no such thing as a droid” before she played L3, so she just played a normal human who would drop electronic buzzwords every five seconds.
Fox deserves 0 hate, he is disliked because of his character and that’s it, to Fox he is dealing with a Jedi traitor and is doing his job. It’s a shame really
Although many people disliked Scorch's characterization in the Bad Batch, do you honestly think they "assassinated" the character and purposefully gave him 0 personality in order to stick it to the fans? Imo, they picked Scorch to exactly show how terribly cold Order 66 was, especially for Commandos who seem to be extra brainwashed following the order, with even the brightest lights being stomped out. If they picked any of the other CCs in delta, maybe the example wouldnt've been so clear. But I agree, Scorch went out like a bitch, didnt even have a fighting role at all
Honestly I like Fox. He looks sick and was honestly just doing his job. No one gives Cody flak for trying to kill obi won without a second thought. No one gives commander Gree Flak for trying to kill Yoda. No one gives Bly flak for killing Ayla. Yet fox gets flak for killing an armed clone (believed to be insane) after he pulled a gun on them. And for hunting down a wanted fugitive. He wasn't trying to kill Ahsoka, just apprehend her. Even Ahsoka knew how bad her case looked. She knew she was innocent, Anakin believed her, and we as the audience knew. But she was framed, the whole point of it is that she looked guilty, and he was doing his job as basically the police chief. He had to bring her in for questioning to figure out what happened. And at the end of the day, he was following orders and was effected by the same inhibitor chips that made all the other clones slaughter the Jedi. He was the same. But his hate didn't start there, it started when he let those bomb droids in which blew up the power generator on courascant. But like, they had the right ID and were those droids. How was he supposed to know? He was doing his job fine. Fox is the same guy that showed up to kick Ziro the Jury's ass in the clone wars movie and rocked shit. He was the same guy that showed up to rescue the Chancellor from the bounty hunters in good time, and only failed to apprehend them because they had so many hostages and had to comply, which any reasonable law enforcement would do. Fox doesn't deserve all the hate and has no reason to be a punching bag. But he is. It's dumb.
To add to the ewok thing, I've heard that originally the film was instead going to have wookiees, which would have strained disbelief much less in the battle. I'm not sure if it's true though, it's just something I've heard a few times.
I mean the difference is Ahsoka was trained by Anakin, and Anakin himself is an extremely powerful fighter, and then on-top of that, she also learnt from Yoda too, so.. yeah
I think Krell was actually a really good character. He ends up being a villain, and I think he's meant to be unlikable for that reason. He ends up getting what he deserves in the end. It's honestly one of my favorite arcs in the series actually
Let's not forget that Fox was indirectly responsible for the first Separatist attack on Coruscant with the disguised bomb droids, he was the one who corrected the droids when they went the wrong direction which got them to their objective and the power was destroyed on the planet. He did his job, but from the viewer perspective he did all of the most disliked actions a clone ever did.
Tbf taking down the biggest and most technologically advanced army with sticks and stones was pretty close to what happened with Hannibal and his armies attacking Rome
4:00 this bothers me because In rebels, when asked if she’s ever fought an inquisitor, she says: “it was a tough fight but I eventually beat him.” (I may have gotten the wording wrong but the general idea stands.) then THIS was the so called “tough fight”
Oh i actually didn't remember her saying that, well that makes it even more annoying. In the Ahsoka book she fights a different Inquisitor and there it was also written as more of a tough fight

Tbf it didn't feel like false advertising, it straight up was.
I'd argue classic Battlefront 2 was better, in that regard, since it was from the eyes of someone from the 501st legion.
I hate it because the story is stupid and leads to the sequels, the lore like operation cinder is terrible and the fact that you play as a woman although the empire is literally sexist and doesnt allow women in their ranks.
@@KitsuneYojimboclassic battlefront 2 was goated and better in every way.
Damn right they were scary everytime I played Ewok Hunt on Battlefront 2 💀
They have stick and stones. Their attack should literally pathetically bounce off a stormtroopers armor, doing jackshit except _maybe_ knocking them down if they hit them really hard or stunning them with a headshot. But no, apparently literal stone weapons and slingshots can penetrate stormtrooper armor. What a joke. Hit and run doesn't work when you can't perform the hit part of hit and run, except their shitty weapons somehow can.

It’s not “sucking at character” when the character is meant to be hated. The opposite, actually
Nah droids wanting freedom has been a talking point of Star Wars long before the solo movies, especially in KOTOR.
I like how either they are so well written that they are hated or they are so unwell written they are hated
You acting like if Stun wasn’t an option lol fox can go to hell 😂
@@mark9960 Yeah, but then you are dead.
I mean keep in mind fox does directly work for palpatine and probably assumes Anakin is really important to Palpatine so when fives points a blaster at him he probably thought he had no choice but to kill him to ensure palpatines plan@@mark9960
Him being part of the coruscant guard also probably included training to blindly follow orders and/or stick to protocol
Phasma had so much potential, same with Finn, they should have made Finn the main character
100% agree, both characters (like all of them in the sequels honestly) got assassinated by shocking writing 🫠
☕️
Idk why they would replace him with palpetine's clone's child who has no personality and has more undeserved powerups than a dragon ball character
Honestly the only reason I don't like her is because she was wasted as a character
Agreed. Finn would have made a great tool to actually humanizing the stormtroopers but they dropped that ball hard.
It baffles me how little Star Wars fans know about the point of Star Wars. I’m surprised he didn’t call it “woke nonsense”
Loyal to a fault, not much different from programming of droids but leave it to star wars fans to sulk over some Glup Shitto death without really looking at why.
exactly but just because it was fives who died star wars fans cant accept this through their thick skulls.
@@cpt_frostbitehe’s actually my favorite clone commander… I never understood the hate because nothing he did was really his fault, and the only crime he committed was doing his job. this. the hate towards Fox is purely circumstantial. put any other Clone in his spot and they'd be just as hated
Actually Scorch’s first canon appearance was in The Clone Wars with the rest of Delta Squad
After spending a year on the internet, I learned one thing about people on it
Many people hate just to hate.
What is it with Star Wars and absolutely popping off on villain design just to punk them in the most boring way possible?

I think maybe a mistake on the edit process, its literally louder than his voice yea 😂
Was about to comment this
People hate scorch?
Edit: oh, because Disney hates Star Wars.
Pong Krell is like that one teacher that doesn’t teach you anything but gets mad when you fail.
I like your videos, but your willing mispronunciation kinda pisses me off
Yeah and the unnatural pauses between Operation and Cinder
There's things more worth your time and energy to be pissed off about in the world
Im like 3/4s through this video and Im not hearing it.
It's probably a rage bait tactic 🤷
I did actually quite enjoy the video, just found it a bit odd.
Scorch's first canon appearance was in clone wars with the rest of delta squad. They had a blink and you miss it cameo in season 3 episode 14 "Witches Of The Mist"
Yeah true, in my mind i was thinking first appearance where he was actually doing something other than just walking out in the background
Ain’t no party like a lando party
L3 is also a baddie so I can't really speak ill of her
Yeah is very much established that deoids are sentient beings and in the extended universe some even worship a God luke being called the creator
These people never played Ewok hunt those things aren’t cute they scary asf they also almost single handedly killed the main characters for a feast like bro what
Dang, it's almost as if Fox served Palpatine directly.
I should point out despite their cutesy demeanor Ewoks are pretty savage little creatures, they were planning to eat Luke, Han and Chewie with no issue before Luke had to make Threepio pretend to be a god.
Rose. Rose is the worst star wars character ever made.
And justice for Commander fox, he’s a badass
18:04 ''The greatest villains of the star wars'' *proceeds to add %90 of the star wars villains*
I really enjoyed the Bad Batch. But it's annoying how the show never elaborated on the inhibitor chips after order 66, especially their effects on characters like Scorch
18:31 Fixxer would've made much more sense. He was always the 'by-the-book' character and could fill the rolw much better.
My headcannon is that Fox had shoot to kill orders from Palpatine.
Your take on L3-37 proves to me that you haven't played Detroit: Become Human
Machine Connor is best play through
I was just gonna comment this!
Also in the cannon Leia says that the only reason the stormtroopers let them escape was to attempt to track them
1:10 Didn’t fives pull a gun on him?
Fox could have used stun.

@@twiddydinks7938 yeah, though I get where their ire comes from, they misunderstand what their problem is with the politics included.
It's just horrifying to see it all dumped for... that...
Bro these sound effects force me to dislike the video
Those sisters showed that we should of just left Clone wars alone, I was so excited just to be more dissapointed than ever before
"Wait Lando no! Don't touch the droid inappropriately!" I DID NOT EXEPCT THAT IM DYING 😂😂
Super true with the inquisitors, all bark and no bite
Fun fact: my great grandmother helped give dialect for the ewoks. She spoke a bunch of words in Kalmyk, her language, and they used it for some of the ewoks. In fact, when the ewoks are tying up the heroes to eat them, their singing is actually her.
Yo for real? That's actually really cool if I'm not getting gaslighted here 🫶🏼
@StickmanAnakin nope, its for real. My dad even wrote a letter to Lucasfilm about it. I don't remember of they responded
It makes sense from a character perspective that Fox would act the way he would. He doesn't know Ashoka like Anakin or Rex does and any other clone other than the ones that she's fought along side with would probably have done the same.
I enjoyed this video! Just a little thing though, the sound effects added in were noticeably louder than your voice, kinda jumpscared me a few times 😅
Edit: Lol sorry!
12:30 agents kallus and hondo kind of had a better reason than the rest
Love your videos, I only want to add a constructive comment about them, and lower the volume of the SFX please! For the rest you’re doing amazing man, you have an incredible potential ❤️
Thanks for the kind words :) Yeah the sfx are too loud on this video. I was working with a different editor on this video and I wasn't too happy with the final product in general. I'll be paying more attention to it though on future videos. Do you listen to it on headphones or how do you notice it being too loud?
@ Oooh don’t worry man! Btw I listen to it on headphones yeah
True, but to me they could have change scorch to darman from omega squad. Reason why? In legends he watch his jedi wife being killed in front of him and his family and stayed on coruscant to help an injured Niner, after he became cold and didn’t care about anyone, family & only his son.
They had a golden opportunity with re-introducing the Deltas. Why didn't the Batch meet up with Sev? They even go to Kashyyyk!
@ sev could have already been pick up by delta or half of omega squad or he was located in the other side of the planet

Great videos!
4:40 king orange wtf?
what is he doing there
You can't like every character in star wars. There has to be some characters that are annoying and challenge the character you like, even If their annoying.
I think Nala Se, Krell, Commander fox are good characters for the plot. They are supposed to be disliked. But there I'm pretty sure the same cant be said for Trace or Rey and such
"They're brothers! Hold your fire!"
Shit was chilling 😭
I thought Vader killed Fox because Fox's men shot at Vader, which was because Fox forgot to tell his men about Anakin's new appearance.
The first brother has hence been renamed the eleventh brother, the actual first brother is Marrok from ahsoka
This is a very solid video but do you think you could maybe lower the volume on those buzzer noises because they’re going to give me a heart attack.
You are absolutely right. I watched that episode of the bad batch before sleeping, when I usually dont care too much about whats happening on the screen but when Crosshair finally shot the imperial, I was so relieved, it felt like never before, justice had been needed to be brought so badly.
Regarding the Ewok segment:
The Empire was not defeated on Endor, they were defeated 1 year later at Jakku.
Didn't see it mentioned, but pretty sure our first canon look at Scorch was when they delivering a body to the jedi, another dead jedi. Sure, they didn't say much of anything then, but I just felt it necessary to add that the bad batch was not the first canon appearance of him.
Basically if you are at all terrible to a clone, you're gonna be hated.
Characters that are written to be hated should be in a different category than characters that are just hated
They named a droid L3-37. THEY NAMED A DROID. L337. THEY NAMED A DROID 1337. THEY
Doesn’t help that L3-37’s actress infamously lied through her ass about the character.
11:35 nick cannon without the rizz!!
The problem with the first brother is not that he was weak but it’s because they gave Ahsoka plot armour and didn’t want to kill her off
Although many people disliked Scorch's characterization in the Bad Batch, do you honestly think they "assassinated" the character and purposefully gave him 0 personality in order to stick it to the fans? Imo, they picked Scorch to exactly show how terribly cold Order 66 was, especially for Commandos who seem to be extra brainwashed following the order, with even the brightest lights being stomped out. If they picked any of the other CCs in delta, maybe the example wouldnt've been so clear. But I agree, Scorch went out like a bitch, didnt even have a fighting role at all
By the way the “first brother” I believe is actually the 11th brother, the first brother is Marrok who also gets killed by Ashoka in the Ashoka show.
Yeah, they literally changed it like 2 days after i was done with the video, so I didn't want to change it again.
3:50, Better than the Sixth Brother, in the novel Ahsoka literally kills him with her bare hands, she caused his lightsaber to explode.
Quick note: not everybody we hate is a bad thing, some are just great villains like Pong Krell
I mean the difference is Ahsoka was trained by Anakin, and Anakin himself is an extremely powerful fighter, and then on-top of that, she also learnt from Yoda too, so.. yeah
Pong Krell is SUPPOSED to be despised, he hates the clones and is turning to the dark side.
Maybe she fought another inquisitor
