we bought the touring elite in black - absolutely love it. Sold our 2011 Infiniti QX56 to buy the Honda, if you can believe that. And yes, we like it MUCH more. First off, it gets great gas mileage, which drove me nuts about the QX56, and lugging kids in car seats around is so much easier. The electronics inside the touring elite are luxury level, but the trim is rather basic (no wood, all plastic dash, etc.) And, the Odyssey handles much better than any other minivan we test drove.
This girl is so cute, I love her personality and how she reviews this great van or any vehicles she reviewed!! Please make her review more cars we need people like her very funny and smart also!!
Good review! But I think her 0-60 times are a bit off, the touring models with the 6 speed take around 7.8 secs to hit 60 and 8.5 for the other models with the 5 speed auto.
Excellent review. It really saddens me though that an American family has to fork over $35,000 for a Minivan. I mean, how many families do you know that can afford a vehicle at that price. Should you save for college, enroll your kids in sports, or drive a Honda Odyssey? Its become so expensive to raise a family these days. Has the minivan really improved mechanically that much so as to require $30,000, or has inflation driven us past a middle class lifestyle?
I have the 2011 Honda Odyssey EX and Love the refinements since my 2007 model, BUT, and a Really BIG, which you will all discover soon... is that Honda did NOT RESOLVE the Front Brakes Issue that has plagued this Heavy little Van! I am on the Road all day every day, and as a result, have 34,000 miles on my 2011 that I purchased 4-1/2 months ago. continued...
The most entertaning Review I have seen in a while I subscribed :o) and im a sports car guy, anyways I think this minivan looks BAD ASS comparing what was in the past like 8 years ago. The way it looks is sharp, the features with gps dvd's etc etc that thing is loaded. to maximum split screen thats sick :o) This is now ? imagine 10 years from now What kind of minivans will be on the market. how technology goes really fast. :o)
cont... My 2011 Odyssey is going in for it's third, Front-Brake Job! .... The Front Rotors were replaced at 11,800 miles, then the new ones were turned at 23,500 miles, and now, at 34,000 miles, the Front Brake Rotors and Pads will be replaced. And... and... the Front Struts have gone bad. I have owned a lot of new cars in my Life, continued...
cont... but never, ever had to do any kind of brake work on any of them, before 50,000 miles... let alone THREE BRAKE JOBS in 34,000 Miles! So, BE WARNED... if you feel any amount of "shimmy" or "vibration" out of your front-end when you brake... especially when you first start to brake at highway speeds, then immediately take it your Dealer. The warranty on Brakes is only the first 12,000 miles, but you can probably get service after this since it has now become a widely-known issue!
lmao at the backup camera! you know im not really into your style, but your reviews are a NICE shift from the typical robotic shit i see on most car reviews
STYLING QUES ARE NICE BUT WHEN IS HONDA GOING TO MAKE THIS A ALL-WHEEL DRIVE VAN WITH A POWERFUL TRANSMISSION I HAD ONE OF THESE AND I WOULD HOPE THAT THIS ONE WILL BE BETTER THAN THE PRECEDING GENERATION!!!
This video review was a bit too much like an ad or show case and not enough like a review. Going by this "review" one would think there are more or less no cons/issues to the Odyssey. That's a bit disappointing way to review a car. The review makes up for that a bit with a high fun factor level....just would like to know about any issues the van might have.
thats what i hate from the Odyssey and most honda vehicles. the nav system is not an Option, its a trim level, wut a fuckers they are. even in the accord and civic, they make you spend tons of dollars more just to get nav, 34k for an EXL w/o nav and cooler console, but 42K w all of that.. really??? dats fucking a lot. i hope the new 2013 Accord lose that and make the nav as a option across the line. great van tho
Usually when i watch these videos ill skip to certain parts, but i watched the WHOLE video, you kept me watching...great review great job!
Please bring Emme to more of your videos! She does great and has a very refreshing personality. Truly a joy to watch! Thanks Roadfly TV..... and Emme!
