Thank you RJ, the experience on the Aleutians was breathtaking and spectacular - and Mark managed to bring this out with brilliant edit and music choice
OMG!!! I cannot BELIEVE that amazing coverage Dr. Sasse!!!!! WOW!!!!!!! Especially the coverage of the juvies who took on fights with the adults over the food. I guess when you're hungry enough you'll fight for it!!! Absolutely AMAZING photography. The video was so "life like" that I didn't even feel I was watching it on my computer. It felt like I was watching it live. The clarity was superb...like the water droplets off the eagle's wing, etc. A HUGE thank you for sharing that amazing video with all of us. We are so lucky to have you!!!
Christian has done a fabulous job putting this all together. His photography seems to have reached new heights. Thank you Mark for sharing. It's a great friendship!
This video was so awesome and the fierce look in the Eagles face when flying and also going for the good it wants too. Thank you for the video and the stills. Eagles are awesome and amazing!👏🏻👏🏻🦅❤️🥰
Yeah, I saw that too. Poor thing. We had a goose at our neighborhood park like that in the same way with upper beak gone but it still seemed to be doing things fine. Haven't seen it recently though.
I just cannot stop watching the extreme dedication and passion in every single phase of the video... I have gone in to the world of the wild. Hopefully I will be shooting one from India one for the 🦅. Regards....
You may or may not be able to answer...is it normal for an eagle to lose feathers toward the end of their wing? Maybe 1/3 inward? I know they preen feathers but not sure about the main feathers
Hello Christian, If you have a little bit of time, I'd like to ask a question. When shooting SloMo like we just watched in this video. Is that a camera setting or the type of Lens? I think I have a pretty good camera it's a Canon EOS Rebel T3i and a couple lenses, the Canon EF 75-300mm f/4-5.6 III USM Telephoto Zoom Lens and the 18-55mm Lens that comes with the camera. I usually just shoot in auto-focus, so no skill in that. But what you do, you have to learn the different settings of the camera. If you could just share a little bit, I would appreciate it. What would I need to shoot SloMo like what was in this video? Thank you
Sure- I used mainly 24-70 mm and focused everything manually. Mainly handheld no tripod. Open aperture as higher ISO is too noisy. For high speed lots of light required- I was lucky one week of sunshine which is extremely rare there/ Camera is from kickstarter Project- entrepreneur from Vancouver. Usually slow motion cameras are prohibitively expensive this one was $4000. First affordable camera at 1,000 FPS - Chronos 1.4.
That's awesome Christian, thanks for the info how you shoot your beautiful SloMo's. I've got a lot to learn before I can record like you do. For now, I'll have to stick to my still shooting of wildlife. I'm just getting started actually and hoping for great things to come. Thank you
What a great production. I couldn't take my eyes off of it. Nature at it's finest!! Thanks for sharing....

What a gorgeous bird they are. I love to watch them. They are so graceful. Terri
So sad for that eagle at 3:36 without upper beak. Wonder how they could lose it and how he can still be alive eating with it... Thank for the video.
