Hi Everyone, We hope you enjoyed our video! Which was your favorite 5th Wheel with a toy hauler? Please say hello by leaving a comment below! Also, please feel free to ask any questions or just tell us about yourselves. We want to get to know you and share our RV experiences.
I have a Heartland Cyclone 3100 Toy Hauler. What I didn't see in any if the models you showed, was a sliding door into the garage. It doesn't make any sense to have a door that swings open if you have motorcycles or a side by side in there. That was the reason I went with the Cyclone. On top of that , as in those garages, it has opposing couches that fold into a bed with a queen above and inside in the living room/kitchen there is a loft bed. Big bathroom(Full shower/tub). Would like to see something on Heartlands new models. Karen

@@RVBlogger The reason I ask is because the slide out goes out like into the whatever climate hot or cold and a front closet is made inside the room. Just curious!!!
That will depend on your preferences. How much can your vehicle tow? Sleeping capacity? Are you comfortable towing a larger RV? Whether you purchases a TT or 5th you will consider it an upgrade. I went from popup to a TT and loved the easier setup and tear down but I did sometimes miss sleeping in the popup. Have you joined our Facebook group? Could be folks that have gone from popup to 5th and you could get their prespective. Thanks for watching and commenting Jim! facebook.com/groups/RVCampingforNewbies
Based on the 5th wheels that we have toured and customer satisfaction, Alliance and Grand Design build great RVs. We know the owners of Alliance and have a few videos with Ryan Brady. I'll drop a link to one of those videos. Just check what your tow capacity and hitch weight is and compare to the 5th wheel to be sure your truck can handle it. ruclips.net/video/FNB1-0vPu1M/видео.html

That's a loaded question. It depends on the weight and length of the fifth wheel and the payload capacity of the truck. Good rule of thumb is.... 19-12k lbs (GVWR, not dry weight) and under 36' might be ok for a 3/4 ton truck. 12k-14k of the same length might be ok for a 1 ton single rear wheel. Anything larger than that typically needs a 1 ton dually.
Hey Victor, Whichever one is strong enough to haul what you need it to :) Thanks for watching and commenting! ❤ Mike and Susan By the way, we hope you will subscribe to our FREE monthly digital/video magazine called RV Camping Magazine. Let us know how you like it! rvblogger.com/rv-camping-magazine/
The payload capacity of your truck is most likely going to be the limiting factor when pulling a fifth wheel like this. All of these fifth wheels have a 2900 lb or more dry pin weight on them. So no, a 3/4 ton HD truck would most likely not have the payload capacity to handle any of these since 3/4 ton trucks are typically in the 2,000 to 3,000 lb payload capacity range. Even with a one ton SRW truck you might struggle to stay within its payload capacity depending on how the truck is equipped and how you load everything.
@@RVBlogger The Dutchmen and the Momentum both have RV refrigerators, meaning they can run on Propane (Absorption) or AC power. Residential refrigerators are AC only.

Do any of them use Azdel in the side walls. We had a very bad experience with a 2 year old Keystone Impact . There was a serious problem with delamination . We even took it back to the factory. They said it was cosmetic. Until the next summer when it really got bad. It went back to a dealer for inspection, after a month of runaround . Keystone said we was out of warranty. My wife and me were so mad we took the lost and traded it for a Coachman Chaparral. NEVER AGAIN WILL I BUY ANYTHING KEYSTONE BUILDS. And I know they don't care. We have also talked to other Keystone owners who had a bad experience. Take the time to go to a factory tour of some of the rv manufacturing. From a retired mechanics view the way they are slapped together no wonder they are constant problems. As a Winter Texan the mobile rv repair people are a frequent sight in every park we have stayed in.
Hi Mike, Not sure how many use Azdel but I know that Align RV uses it on their 5th wheels. Sorry to hear about your experience but thanks for sharing! Mike

@@RVBlogger The one shown at 4:50. This one looks like about half the size of some that I've seen. I bet he wouldn't be able to turn around or bend over to pick up a bar of soap without opening the shower door.
Hi calikalbo, You are correct! These videos are just meant show folks some 5th wheels with toy haulers and then if they see something they like they can research it further on their own. We get a ton of feedback from our viewers and most like the quick overviews and the fact that we move along quickly. If we reviewed all of the features people get bored and the video would last way too long. Perhaps in the future we will do a tour of one particular model where we will take the time to go through all of the features and specs but so far we haven't done those types of reviews. Paul the Air Force Guy does lots of reviews on individual RVs. Check out his channel at ruclips.net/channel/UCI83c1wKjFfZLqCZy-vGrKg He's a great guy. Thanks for watching and for your comment. Mike
Hi Bosco, I don't always make video the titles so they are correct. I research what people are searching for and use that info to create my titles. The search term people use when searching for 5th wheel toy haulers is "5th wheels with a toy hauler". It's called keyword research and it plays a vital role in getting videos to rank on RUclips. Thanks for watching and commenting! Mike and Susan
Why are these the 4 best? In what order? Compared to what other units? Nice click bait. What are the first two words in Toy Hauler 5th Wheel? Your reviews were way camper centric. Toy Haulers are, gasp, used to haul toys to wherever one wants to use the toys and thereafter used as a base camp. How many D rings were provided? What was the weight rating on each D ring? What is the cargo(toy) hauling capacity? What was the fuel capacity for refueling the toys? Was there an onboard air compressor? I could barely get through this content. Excuse me if I skip your other "best" videos.
Hi Pr3ct, Those are all very good points. We were very weak at going over all of those details. We have received a lot of feedback that suggests that most folks like to see an overview of the RVs we review and then if they like what they see they investigate further on their own. This way the video moves along at a faster pace and it's shorter too. But all of your points are valid. It's so hard to make videos that make everyone happy but we try our best. And we certainly appreciate the feedback from our viewers - both good and bad. It helps us to improve and make better videos. So, thanks very much for your honest feedback. Mike and Susan

@@RVBlogger The reason I ask is because the slide out goes out like into the whatever climate hot or cold and a front closet is made inside the room. Just curious!!!
@@susancampbell515 I think it is a great question...now I'm curious too!
I'm looking to upgrade my camper
I have a popup camper would a 5th wheel be a good upgrade
That will depend on your preferences. How much can your vehicle tow? Sleeping capacity? Are you comfortable towing a larger RV? Whether you purchases a TT or 5th you will consider it an upgrade. I went from popup to a TT and loved the easier setup and tear down but I did sometimes miss sleeping in the popup. Have you joined our Facebook group? Could be folks that have gone from popup to 5th and you could get their prespective. Thanks for watching and commenting Jim! facebook.com/groups/RVCampingforNewbies
I have an f450 limited dually diesel
With a goose neck hitch it's heavy duty truck
Based on the 5th wheels that we have toured and customer satisfaction, Alliance and Grand Design build great RVs. We know the owners of Alliance and have a few videos with Ryan Brady. I'll drop a link to one of those videos. Just check what your tow capacity and hitch weight is and compare to the 5th wheel to be sure your truck can handle it. ruclips.net/video/FNB1-0vPu1M/видео.html
I didnt know they made 5th wheel toy haulers without bathrooms
Hi Dave,
LOL! I was testing the RUclips algorithm to see if the word bathrooms in the title made any difference.

What would be the best vehicle to tow a fifth wheeler?
That's a loaded question. It depends on the weight and length of the fifth wheel and the payload capacity of the truck. Good rule of thumb is.... 19-12k lbs (GVWR, not dry weight) and under 36' might be ok for a 3/4 ton truck. 12k-14k of the same length might be ok for a 1 ton single rear wheel. Anything larger than that typically needs a 1 ton dually.

You must need to learn the difference between a residential and a gas/electric RV fridge....

Would you mind explaining the difference?

Hi Mike,
Not sure how many use Azdel but I know that Align RV uses it on their 5th wheels.
Sorry to hear about your experience but thanks for sharing!

Campers are generally 18 Feet or less. Bigger ones are called Travel Trailers or RV Trailers. If you own a millionaire mansion or a castle I suppose you could call any trailer a Camper. lol

Hi Blake,

That shower didn't even look close to "good size". It appeared to me if he shut the door his shoulders would've been almost touching walls on both sides. No thanks.
Hi Dave,
Which 5th wheel are you referring to?
Mike
@@RVBlogger The one shown at 4:50. This one looks like about half the size of some that I've seen. I bet he wouldn't be able to turn around or bend over to pick up a bar of soap without opening the shower door.
No quality information, just showing different models.
Hi calikalbo,
You are correct!
Check out his channel at

Not A 5TH wheel “with a toyhauler”, try Toyhaulers that are 5TH wheels......!!!!!
Hi Bosco,
I don't always make video the titles so they are correct.
Hi Pr3ct,
Those are all very good points.
