I cried. Tom. This song touched my heart. I've been watching you ever since I was a kid. I'm glad you're where you want to be. But I can't express how sad it makes me that you left us in the states. Wish this could have been the place you wanted to stay forever. I know you don't gripe about things in your life, but I still feel like somehow we failed you. Even with all your success, I think you never got 25% of the respect, fame, and opportunities you deserved here when you gave us so much. I know you've made your pile of winnings, as you've said, but whatever the amount, I don't think it was enough. To put it another way I feel like we lost a national treasure and there's not nearly enough reaction from people. Everyone's caught up in the bad shit happening to pay proper respects to a true legend. It probably sounds crazy but it feels like our country, just got less fun, less happy, less bright, less green. l know that Canada is and will always be your home.
