Only the other week I bought a portable monitor for £95,I can plug my Steamdeck into it and I can plug my switch into it WITHOUT A DOCK works fantastic,it is a little on the quiet side so I got a little soundbar to sit below the monitor and I can power it all with two of my powerbanks,I can play my games anywhere

If one of the HDMI ports is on the motherboard for your desktop then it's for a CPU with integrated graphics and will not work normally. The GPU would need to have two HDMI ports on on it for both to be usable. Also I like the video, it wasn't too long, direct and to the point.

So the benefit is 1 you get a larger screen to play on more comparable to laptop..
You don't need the dock just switch controllers an the monitor..
An the other big bonus is the switch goes into docked mode so it upscale to 1080p instead of the 720 you get on the switch screen.
If you think about it..
For the size of a laptop bag you can fit the monitor switch 4 controllers 1 charger an you can pull out 4 player Mario party anywhere..
