So many of these bottles are so out there, like Coy Hill, GTS, or the 4 Roses LE that I don't even dare to dream of owning a bottle.

It’s not a stupid idea. They literally said they have never owned a GTS so they are going to really hunt for it this year. It’s bourbon hunting season so everything released at this time is hard to get for everyone, for them, for you, for me. These are their hopes for the season and that is all they shared.

I hope we get lucky enough to get the Penelope Havanah here. Our local liquor store seems to get some things that are hard to find in other places. I haven't had a Penelope that I did not love.

Still trying to find a Weller Single Barrel (at or near MSRP) to complete my Weller Pokemon collection. Also looking forward to the ECBP C924, but want to drink a pour of it first.

When do you think Disco 12 and Origins Wheat will hit the Denver market?
What is your favorite places to hunt for bourbon in Colorado. I am from near Steamboat, and as you saw during your visit, there is not much close by... Craig has a couple of places with some selections, and I am planning to stop by the liquor store in Hayden.
Molly’s Laws 12 Year Hazmat. I was one of the lucky ones who got to participate in that pick. It’s a banger.
Great video, I'm a big Single Barrel Fan too. I scored a Stagg A24 and a EHT single barrel at MSRP so far this year. I too am on the hunt for a GTS at msrp but you guys know the odds of that.

Since I already have a GTS, I will be searching for William Larue Weller as my unicorn this year, as well as Russell's 15yr. Had a pour and it is spectacular!

Surprised you didn’t also mention the Estate collection from Penelope The 9yr Private Select was a top 3 Bourbon for me last year
I have only found some BTAC in the wild once. It was this spring at a liquor store at Legends area in KC, KS. They had GTS, William Larue Weller, Thomas H Handy, and they also had an Old Forester Birthday Bourbon… the cheapest price was $1,200! At that price, they may still be there. I’m looking for the GTS, OF Birthday Bourbon, Russell’s 15 (and still trying to find a 13), and the Elijah Craig C924 (I’m usually pretty lucky at getting the barrel proofs, but probably just jinxed myself). Go to Mollys, we assisted in a Makers Mark barrel pick that is AMAZIN! Also ask if they still have some of the LAWS 12yr Hazmat barrel pick, we assisted in that as well.
ECPB will be easy, the rest, not so much. Hope you find most of them. Those are in the group that if it pops up I'll buy it but I wouldn't chase any of them. Except maybe the Penelope.

I saw that Penelope are releasing another Private Selection 9 year this fall, would love another bottle of that, last year’s was delicious! I also desperately want a Michter’s toasted bourbon, but am unlikely to find that in my area 😢
Not only the 9 yr but they also releasing a 11yr single barrel and a 11yr founders reserve The 9 yr last year was so good!! Still have 2 left

What are we hunting this fall.... spoiler - the same thing everyone hunts every year, plus Penelope's new release.
This isn't a great video idea. Either cover it as "these are fall releases we are excited about" or something because saying you are hunting all the hyper allocated bottles isn't surprising. Jack Daniels 4 Roses LE, Coy Hill, Parker's, BTAC, Birthday Bourbon... Who isn't. The Havana is a unique choice since Rum finished whiskey doesn't do very well (and rightfully so since Rum finishing doesn't work as well for Bourbon as it does for Rye or Malt). ECBP C924 is not really warranting hype yet based on how poorly the A and B batches were received this year. Most people are probably hoping the C batch lives up to last years but that's a big ask.
Would be more interesting to hear about the non-unicorns you are looking for in the fall. There are a few releases but not a ton on the Breaking Bourbon calendar.

Old Overholt 10 yr rye is one that has evaded me for too long 🫣 Hopefully not for long 😉
10 year is last years (late last year) this year will be 11 year. I got 2 last year, still see maybe 10 bottles total on the shelves over 2 or 3 stores locally, might get one more lol b4 the 11 year comes out. I want the ogd 16 year though.
