I agree 100% . DK is a talented wide receiver and I think he should play for the Seahawks his entire career.
I just have to say when it comes to seahawks content Brandon is just unbeatable. The lighthearted yet serious approach leaves me always feeling confident in our team. You don't need to get rid of your current talent in order to add talent at other positions.

Just invest WITH THE RESOURCES YOU HAVE into those position groups and you can improve. All you've done is just switched where your deficiency is and that's a lateral move which is a waste of time.

The comparison to Megatron is surreal. Crazy how no one would say DK is on a hall of fame trajectory, yet the numbers don't lie. Consider the fact that Megatron was the focus of their offense, and DK's numbers should really impress you.

I agree 100% . DK is a talented receiver and has potential to be the GOAT of all NFL receivers. He’s played brilliantly these past seasons on offenses that are below average. He’s big and fast and is a matchup nightmare.

So I did another mock draft with the intention of not drafting a qb til later. I did for 4 trade backs from 16 to 43. I know that is alot of trade backs but there was multiple players that were available so I moved back. I also moved back in the later rounds also. So here it is..

The reason why I went this way is that I believe Schneider wants a qb that can tilt the field. While I wasn't planning on taking penix he was BPA and letting him sit and learning from geno would be ideal. I feel seattle would sign players that knows MM scheme. This draft was based on the fact that adams, Diggs, and bwagz are gone. Plus getting help in the secondary. This draft was decent but I still feel Schneider will do the opposite of what the fans think so I wouldn't hold it against him if he trades up especially after talking to qb like maye and daniels. If I'm js why would I talk to someone that I have no chance in getting. Pro days and free agency will tell me alot So that could be a hint. What your opinion
I like your draft overall. I think there are some others I liked a little more and I'm going to be doing the deep drop on my next mock draft. Solid picks down the line, and I can't argue with the value. I suppose you feel the missing sizzle when moving down so far. I still wouldn't mind this haul.

I don't understand the DK hate. The man is a monster on the field and our best offensive weapon over the past few years. The scary part is that he is underused. I have to question the intelligence of people who want him gone.
Pearl clutching seahawks fans are always like this. Look at the comments. "Hurts the team." Okay. How are all the penalties and yards given up by the corners not hurting. Fans want players to be Dawgs but not so much that it offends their sensibilities.
I am in favor of trading DK, but it isn't for any reason people usually give for trading him.
Last year, Brandon, we talked about resigning Wagner. I was against it. You were for it. I said at the time we were at least 2 years from contending, and therefore resigning an aging Bobby for the feels was a mistake. Well, despite being proved right about that, you still have Seahawk fans demanding we bring back Bobby *again.* But it's even worse this year because I believe starting over with a new coaching staff means you need to restart the clock on the rebuild. In fact, I'm hoping the Hawks finally do the full rebuild they've needed for some time but Pete would never allow as he chased a ring before they pushed him out.
I mention all this because this full rebuild means that any expensive player who is either at his prime or near the end of it (or well beyond it) is now something of an albatross to this team. Bobby is an obvious example, but Lockett is also one. (And Lockett is my favorite Seahawk.) Both should be released, or, in Lockett's case, if you can, traded. Geno is another player who fits this description. DK is not as obvious as those players, but he is still an expensive player who in three years will be pushing 30. He will never have higher trade value than he has right now. I think we could swing a first and a third for him. That's not a bad return.
None of this is DK hate. Love the guy, even with the silly penalties, and some of those, like the Warner one, are more than understandable. At least he comes to fight week in and out. You can't say that for everyone. Hell, even Tyler seemed at times to be phoning it in last season. And don't get me started on Woolen or Adams.
I get it. People get attached to players, and it's hard to get excited about long-term team building that in the short run will lead to more losses, which is undoubted what trading DK will mean for the next two years. But I'm 55 before next season and I want to win another before I die. So, I'm willing to endure short term pain for a real chance at SB glory.
Anyway, just wanted to lay this out there in case you had the idea that everyone in favor of trading DK does so because they hate the guy or hasn't really appreciated his greatness.
I wouldn’t call him megatron yet but I do think he has the potential to become the next megatron or become a dynamic wr (that is not hate it’s just my opinion he isn’t a dynamic wide receiver) you hope grub uses his size,height and speed and turns him into a go up and get it wr, a deep threat and an even better overall playmaker
With Grubb as the OC and Huff hopefully improving an injury riddled O-Line. This might be DKs true breakout yr. JSN will eat too.

I like Metcalf but I disagree with some of the narratives here. Physically he is almost identical to Megatron but the big difference is that Calvin Johnson could catch a ball one-handed with three dudes all over him, Metcalf will drop the ball about half the time if some dude sneezing on him.
1. They don't run him in the slot a lot because he lacks Elite side to side quickness. This means it's hard for him to sell an option / choice route, which is the staple of most good slot receivers
2. The reason we go away from Metcalf at times during games is because we have a lot of offensive weapons on the field. Lockett and Ngidba are both very good wide receivers and jsn will only improve
3. I agree about targeting the middle of the field but that has little to do with Metcalf and more to do with their tight ends. We have a top 10 tight end in the league that we use as a blocker more often than not and vastly underutilized. If anyone should be bitching it's him. He should see more than 5 yd passes from bootleg rollouts
4. There's never a good reason to lose discipline and hurt your team. I can deal with that here and there if that's the kind of fire a guy needs to constantly want to be elite and dominate his competition even after he got paid. I can deal with it once in a while
5. I agree we don't need extra draft capital for the lines we just need to hit on our draft picks. I'd also agree that a lot of my comments are in alignment with the premise and the video that are offensive scheme wasn't very good. We have a ton of weapons, wide receivers, tight ends and running backs that can be utilized better. We don't need more draft Capital there either
The fans that are talking about trading DK are the same ones that always wanted Seattle to get a receiver like him.
Ryan Grubb and company will correct DK's problems. He has problems. It's not that he is a bad seed or locker room cancer. He never was and he never will be.
The talk of trading DK Metcalf is meaningless and should end once and for all. This guy is the most talented WR in the National Football League.

I said it before the last draft we had a chance to build both lines up to last at least 4 years but we did not..not saying we got bad players ..
It's ridiculous to assume those in charge of what players stay or go is influenced by fan opinions ! The decisions they make are the ones made with the best interest for the franchise !
DK is great, but CJ is in a class of his own. It’s not even the same game anymore. At some point you have to look at a player and ask yourself if you’ve already gotten everything you can out of them and decide if it’s still a sound investment. He was a top 20 WR, getting paid as an elite tier WR last year. There’s almost 50 mil in cap tied up between DK and Lockett. That doesn’t make sense financially because they aren’t top tier. Seattle is carrying too many ridiculous contracts. They need to move and cut players. Pete ran this thing down to the rim and they have a lot of issues to address.

Hands, speed, route running, yards after catch; very few in the NFL are as good are better than DK. Not to mention durability, mental determination.

I think the problem with DK was coach Carroll. His inability to reel in DK when he started spiraling out of control during games. I admit that it would piss me off when he would start committing flagrant penalties and doing stupid shi* during games.

I could be wrong, but I don't DK was trying to suplex him purposely, though I get it looks like that, but DK's not a defender, he's receiver just trying to get Warner to the ground. Warner's fighting him like hell, and trying to find someone he can pitch the ball too. Witherspoon gave us much more an egregious example this year of the suplex move in the Rams game and why it's illegal. My opinion, I don't think DK was trying to be dirty there. Warner also has a pretty nice track record for doing some dirty stuff. Great player, but not afraid to step over the line.
I hope the new offensive coordinator makes him the focus of the offense. Using him the right way would make our offense unstoppable. Trading DK is just stupid. I hate Salk. Always have.

Drama King Metcalf is insanely overrated. With his skillset, his numbers should be even BETTER. His drops are in clutch situations. Maybe I'll be proven wrong with our new coaching staff, but I'm not buying into this idea of DK being the next Megatron.
He is maybe the 10-12th best WR in the league...his salary is a bit much fot that.
Except statistically from day one to now he's more like the 6th/7th best. That's with a bum handed Wilding and a slowed down 23 offense.

As good as DK is, he has so much room to improve. There was a point where Megatron felt unguardable, just throw the ball up and he'll come down with it. DK can't go up and high point a ball in a game to save his life.
