Not only was were there subtle communications between the L.O.B. that helped adjust to real time plays but they also held everybody accountable on the team. Nobody could play on the defense if they weren't bringing their A-game all game. I never felt like we got those Alphas again to lead our team again which is why Pete and John overpaid for Jamal because I think that they thought that he was going to be that cornerstone player and he was giving all the lip service to attain that but never could. I think Byron Murphy is legitametly an alpha and I think thats what they are going to be looking for as they rebuild the defense.
My honest opinion about the Hawks this season is that we’ll be fine. Someone asked me the same questions. Going into the bye week we’ll be 8-1. The only loss will be against the Lions, and that game will be close. I think we sweep the division this year. The Hawks gonna make a strong statement. That defense will come together a lot faster than people think. People gotta remember a lot of the new additions played in some sort of Macdonald defense. If we had the exact same team as last year, yeah, this season would have been long. I think we go 17-1 and I’m not just saying that because I’m from Seattle and love the Hawks. There’ll be bumps along the way, a few high scoring games with blown coverages etc…if people think I’m crazy, fine, 14-3, we’ll split with the Rams and 49ers. I still think we sweep the division.
I loved the ex seahawks GM you interviewed @Hawksnest. I think hes right if you are there to select what you think is a great QB, you have to take them because you may never know when you're in that position again and may have to give an arm and a leg to get your guy. Our guy hasn't been there although I think if Anthony Richardson would have been there last year I think they pull the trigger.

Loved this podcast and probably the best one I've ever seen....*sigh* gonna push you both back on DK. Look, all the crybabies out there laugh at this but playing time matters in football and REPS matter in football. I'm not sure what position ya'll played but I played WR in high school and while the scales change, the head to head competition more or less mashes out the differences. DK is NOT a GOOD WR, let alone great. HE DOESN'T CATCH THE BALL!!! ....YES, the CATCH PERCENTAGE MATTERS, because when he gets the target but doesn't catch the ball THAT IS A LOST OPPORTUNITY FOR SOMEONE ELSE AND IT KILLS DRIVES! ...you can't win games if you can't sustain drives, and DK is an absolute drive killer...I'm a STEM Teacher and the math is not hard on this, in all the games we won last year, DK had a catch % of 65% which is NOT great (TL was 72% and ya'll still want to trade him lol and JSN's, a rookie, was 68%! JAKE BOBO'S WAS 82%!!!!! ...but those are the games we WON. The REAL clincher here is the games we LOST, which was equal 8 wins/ 8 losses because DK missed one game, the Cardinals, a win. In our LOST GAMES, DK's catch % was a MONSTROUSLY TERRIBLE 49%!!! .....DK, is THEE reason why we lost games last year! HE WAS THE DIFFERENCE IN ALL OF OUR GAMES!! ....PLEASE stop worshipping this clown, HE IS KILLING OUR TEAM AND HAS BEEN HIS WHOLE CAREER! It's just like the ol Billy Bean moment in Moneyball "He gets on base" THAT is THEE factor that MATTERS!!! ....WHO CARES ABOUT HIS SPEED! WHO CARES ABOUT HIS MUSLES!!! WHO CARES ABOUT HIS ANYTHING ELSE!!! HE DOESN'T CATCH THE BALL! Steve Largent had NONE of DK's speed, stregth, or tackling ability (actually, that last one isn't true at all Mick Harden) BUT HE CAUGHT THE BALL!! ...I'm done. They clearly aren't going to trade him at this point as we're 6 days after the 1st, so they must have a plan for him, but he's sloppier than a Pop Warner kid at WR and, no, folks, his blocking, WHEN HE EVEN TRIES, is horrible as well, if you think he's a great blocker, you do NOT understand how a WR is supposed to block. Let's see what they can do with this clod, okay, I'm actually done now.
Thank you, Chad. Sorry we disagree on DK. You going to have to walk me through how you arrive at catch percentage dictating DK's value. That being the end all be all. Why not concentrate more on drops for instance? It seems arbitrary you've chosen catch percentage. Like you, I do lean on the statistics to help tell the tale of a player or team, but not solely that. I'm also a big guy on the tape being married to the statistics, so the whole story is being told. If you're just leaning on stats, you're only telling half the story or less. If you got back through Geno's throws to DK last year, the targets were often off alot of the time. This does rely more diving into the tape and targets, but this also backed on sites like this, where you when you filter through actual catchable passes you'll come to find that many of those targets to DK were misthrows. DK is through five years of his career, he is right in alignment with Calvin Johnson's first five years in the league from catches to touchdowns. How has he accomplished that while being targeted less than Calvin did through his first five years. He shows up every week and plays his ass off. He's having the best start to a career for a receiver in Seahawks history, even better than Largent, who is my favorite player all time. But you know what, between Zorn and Krieg I can go back and shows you hours of tape of their misthrows to Largent, not giving him a chance on many of these attempts. By your choice of choosing catch percentage, Largent should have been punished on those? I'm sorry we disagree, but I haven't come lightly to my support of DK, and I'm certainly not going to make my ultimate determination of him based on a single stat.

I think we can all agree that Geno isn’t a top 5 QB. But we should all still be objective about him, at his best he is a borderline top 10 to top 15 QB with a decent oline. You don’t need to be elite to win a SB, you just need to be able to win from behind and know how to limit mistakes which he clearly has done for us for 2 years. You aren’t getting better without drafting one and you shouldn’t do that until the team is set around him. I would much rather have Geno than Kirk and look how much money he has made over Geno.

Yes, it's possible. I've heard some teams flirting with not having the kicker due the kickoff duties, and just have a positional player squib it. Not sure if that's how it's going go, but a change might need to be in order because they won't want these guys tackling.
