Hi Marisa: TY for sharing this great info. I tried to purchase your GAPS course this morning. When I hit the purchase button the page scrolled to the top and did show that I paid for the course, but no order #, instructions, links to access the course, or even contact info. I checked my banking and discovered I was NOT charged for the course. The only link I found in your menu bar was a login link, so typing a comment here is the only way I know of to get in touch with you regarding this. Please let me know if you can help me purchase your course. Many thanks for your great channel. I encouraged my brother to use your info and videos. He started but others told him not to, and we lost him May 4, 2021. He was not old. VERY SAD!
Happy New Years to you & your beautiful family!❤🙏

I'm interested in starting the GAPS diet, but I find it super intimidating! I've only lasted 30 days at a time with strict elimimation diets. My symptoms don't improve, and I lose the motivation and go back to regular eating. I also dread the time and expense of elimination diets. They can be very difficult and stressful to maintain!

To me, it's less of an elimination diet and more of a "focus on these foods" diet; specifically focusing on things that really fill you up and feed your body and heal your gut. It does cost more than filling up your plate with potatoes or rice, but you should never feel unsatisfied by a meal. My husband (who's underweight) has found that he's actually able to eat more food and thus get more nutrients in him with this diet. It's not a HUGE price increase*, as long as you're not eating the fanciest of meals every single day, and I've felt like I'm eating real food and am losing my cravings for sugary or bread type items. One thing I must note, however, is that during the introduction phase, you may feel rather strong cravings for specific "bad" foods--because the pathogenic bacteria that feeds off of those are dying; however, after a couple days, that craving should be gone.
And there are things that I want, so I just look up a GAPS recipe for it as a substitute. Like macaroni and cheese (I've made this from scratch off the GAPS diet...but specifically Panera's...), there's a version that uses cauliflower--but actually looks really good to me because I've been getting the nutrients I need and my brain chemistry and taste is changing to want what's good and healing right now. There are also GAPS ice cream recipes that I'm excited to try and other things of the sort.
Anyway, I know it's been a year since you posted that comment, but I hope this helps you or anyone else who stumbles across it!
*[we've found about a 20% increase or so on our grocery bill thus far, about the same as reported when people switch to vegan (which I tried for a week and learned that is NOT the way to go for my husband and I!). Say you have a $250 budget: it'd just be $50 more or $300 monthly. To me, this is worth the cost, considering life-long health and not having to pay future medical bills and suffering as a consequence of not healing myself. It can be more or less depending on your area and stores and how you choose to shop and cook, but this is what I've found.]

@@BumblebeeApothecary 1 more questions, I saw you have a 30 day program. Do you have a video explaining or talking about your program? That would be helpful because I'm so confused and I've been tempted to try the gaps diet because I got an ulcer at the end of 2019 but I read about the gaps diet and I would like to try it but I'm not sure if I can be fully committed to the intro because it seems hard or confusing and then after. I also wanted to know once the intro is done, do you have to follow the steps after? Or can you transition to normal eating? Because I know the second phase is much longer. Do you have a program or something explaining after finishing the intro phase?

TRS? Woah, I hope you're up to speed as to the far better choice for that.

For GAPS coaching, I created a comprehensive program that takes people through GAPS for 12 months (or longer if they need it) called Follow GAPS Academy. It's basically everything I offer as a GAPS coach, in a complete class. It ends up being a better value than paying for multiple one on one coaching sessions, plus you still get personalized support from me as often as you need it in the exclusive Facebook group. The program isn't open to the public for enrollment very often, but you can sign up here to watch my free class on starting GAPS with more confidence and less confusion, and get more info and an invitation to the program: my.demio.com/ref/2znHBvku8txu1OSd I hope that helps!
