    I used to make paper jewelry in the 80’s. Try heavy watercolor paper. You only need 2 sheets to sandwich your findings and it is incredibly stiff and durable. Add color, images, flat back stones, etc. then seal it, add your other earring findings, pin packs, etc. and you have incredibly lightweight durable jewelry. I still have some of my pieces I still wear from the 80’s!

      Did you use 150lb watercolor paper or the 300 lb paper?

      @@serenityjewel I used 300 pound paper when I was making paper jewelry pieces.

      How do you recommend sealing

    • @ethereal369
      @ethereal369 Год назад +3

      @@MYSTICMANDY22UV resin works fantastic. But if you don't want to use a UV light, there are simple acrylic spray sealants, as well as several typesvof sealing products made just for this purpose. Just make sure you get one that can be used on a porous surface - paper, especially watercolor paper, is very porous & absorbent.

    Love the idea of using the paperclips. I punch out about 4 shapes of the same image from cardstock scraps, then my main decorative images on top and bottom. About 5 - 6 layers, depending on the thickness you want. Glue them together with Art Glitter Glue, and they will become hard as a rock! Almost like the Shrinky Dinks. Maybe on 2 of the inside layers you can cut out the shape of the paperclip so there's no warping.
    Thanks for giving me some new ideas!!!

    I’m obsessed with paper jewellery as well. I found a good tip if you have dripping Glossy Accents over the edge. Put the pieces on a silicone trivet or doming mat, and that will take care of any dripping dimensional glue, particularly Mod Podge Dimensional Magic, which is so runny. Your pieces are gorgeous!

    You can also use resin on them after glueing. Just remember to use ppe. Safety glasses, gloves, and a mask. Also use the mask when using certain types of glue. They can have negative effects on your lungs. Safety first!
