[TAS] SNES The 7th Saga by Kirkq & Nitrodon in

- This is a tool-assisted speedrun. For more information, see tasvideos.org/...
TAS originally published on 2010-09-20
In this unforgiving RPG that is The 7th Saga, the player picks a character and goes on an epic quest to find the seven magical runes, since each of these runes contains a great power for the one who wields it.
kirkq ( tasvideos.org/... ) and Nitrodon ( tasvideos.org/... ), the players who made this tool-assisted speedrun, chose Lux the Tetujin to complete this quest as fast as possible, forgoing a stat boosting glitch ( • 7th Saga game-breaking... ), and performing luck manipulation to defeat bosses at an impossibly low level! - Игры
My best friend from elementary school died almost a year ago, and this was the very first SNES game he ever showed me.
RIP brother. We will meet again.
I'm sorry for your loss, and I just wanted to say, I know how you feel.
We'll make it; for their sake.
Bullshit
1:25:37 "Get the opinions of everybody else first, then meet DR. FAIL."
I have to say that, given how difficult it was for me to use that radar to avoid enemies, it is VERY satisfying to see the TAS software walking right past them with ease.
I liked the part where Lux went CLANG CLANG CLANG CLANG
i could never beat this game as a kid, it was way too hard and i was dumb, i still can't beat it, and i'm still dumb
same, lol
Well, as far as I know, and from my own experience, 7th Saga is one of those RPGs that punishes you for grinding; low-levels are practically mandatory, because the rival heroes level up with you, and if you grind too much, they can become literally unbeatable, similar to games like Tactics Ogre: Let Us Cling Together.
But! There are some fan-patches and romhacks that change the way the scaling and all of that work, but I haven't actually gotten around to playing them. Maybe one day!
@@RedSpade37 well, in the world record runs, when they recruit an apprentice, they kill off the original character, and level up the apprentice solo, then after the apprentice battles, the revive the initial hero, that way the apprentices you battle won't gain levels.
@@TimBowSpice Thanks! Love this game and its music, so much!
We is *all* dumb, friend.
This is one of my favorite games, and this TAS is brilliant! A work of art indeed!
This brings back so many memories 😢
This was one of my first SNES games along with F-Zero
i love the 7th saga ♥♥
Excellent gameplay I have never finished this whole thing, watching this I realized that I reached almost the 30% of the game...of curse I never used this kind of gameplay I played normal fighting enemies and leveling up. Thanks for showing how this game goes!!! This was an enix game when enex was the enix XD
First for this game is brutal
It was the combination of the game being made purposefully harder for western audiences and vicious game bugs that did it.
It's almost unfair.
What a crazy run of a nightmare-level RPG. Too bad you didn't meet Esuna. 🥺
*CLUNK* *CLUNK* *CLUNK* *CLUNK* *CLUNK* *CLUNK* *CLUNK* *CLUNK* *CLUNK* such nostalgia
Difficulty game but I love it!
Man, even the TAS has to grind S.brains
How did you avoid red pison? That's impossible at your level.
How does he keep dodging the enemies and always getting down to 1 hp without dieing?
Luck manipulation.
Wish I knew the actual legit world record for this game. I've always been curious.
Can someone upload another version of this video with Tetsujin's walking sound effect coded out? 8*)
Kling Klang Kling Klang Kling Klang Kling Klang Kling Klang Kling Klang Kling Klang Kling Klang Kling Klang Kling Klang Kling Klang Kling Klang Kling Klang Kling Klang Kling Klang Kling Klang Kling Klang Kling Klang Kling Klang Kling Klang Kling Klang Kling Klang Kling Klang Kling Klang Kling Klang Kling Klang Kling Klang Kling Klang Kling Klang Kling Klang Kling Klang Kling Klang Kling Klang ;)
i just beat this game after 30 years. i loved it as a kid but it was too hard. as an adult i realize it was a total bs game. finding the last boss would've been impossible without a guide. so many parts had no direction and the rng stats ugh. you NEED a guide for this
You beat this in under 2 hours..my god..
A TAS for a turn based RPG? That didnt sound sort of silly to you?
God damn this video got riddled with ads.
Dude, how do you dodge every fight?
What is the "Pain is unbearable" for???
a mage from the next town make you unable to cast magic(he think you might be evil).you need to back to him after defeating metal pison for him to enable you to cast spell again.if i remember right
Pasate un save state del final boss
40:55 how the hell you only find S. Brains?
This is a TAS, short for Tool Assisted Speedrun. What you see in this video is possible only with absolutely perfect luck in every situation.
Just walking around without having to face one enemy. This is pure cheating. I can’t go more than 8 squares at max without a fight !!
E
I'd rather play the original than this grindfest.
Huh?
@@sonnieandjacob the JP original was called Elnard, which was miles easier. In fact, some might call it kinda boringly easy. It was definitely more balanced than the 7th Saga, which has immensely more difficult battles in general.
@@hv433 yea i heard they messed up with the apprentice stats a bit.
@@falsesectslikeshiaarejudeo6543 they didn't "just" mess with the Apprentice's stats, they basically edited the game for ALL enemies to have significantly boosted stats, while making player characters keep their lower Elnard stats.
Worst longplay ever
Cheater
It's tool assisted so duh
Tf 💀
