I just made it- the phyllo is much & tastier than what I usually make. But more difficult to make. I do the stack 4 pita size with oil in between and roll it out. I like yours better. Also you ends cooked better- less doughy. The filling is the filling- about the same. Very nice recipe!! I would make it again. Thank you very much for sharing with everyone!! Ευχαριστώ. Η συνταγή σας είναι γευστική. Καλύτερα από τη συνταγή μου. Το φυλό ήταν το καλύτερο μέρος της συνταγής σας. Σε ευχαριστώ που μοιράστηκες!
I thought you were wonderful and very authentic, especially with the use of the λαμαρίνα pan!! Beautifully done. I presume with the extra filling you will make another? Bravo to you!!
That looks really good, substantial. The first time I've seen the egg and milk added. It would be good if you slowed down the video so we can see how you handle the sheets of dough after they were rolled out.
I think the vinegar tenderizes the dough. You can also use lemon juice if you don’t want to use vinegar. I’ve seen pie crust recipes that do this too. Traditional cannoli recipes use red wine, probably does the same thing and gives it a little flavor too.
This recipe is too nice. Really, everybody aspiring to make this Greek dish should follow this recipe. I think the key differences which make this recipe a stand out, is the use of semolina in the filling (could be a regional variant), and of course, the home made fillo dough. Please, if you are going to cook Spanakopita, spend the extra time to make the dough as shown in this recipe. Don't use store bought filo, it won't taste or turn out the same, and people will think you're a fraud. Thumbs up, 5 stars.
Dorothy Marinis hi! Thanks for your comment but I don't use butter. What you see is a mixture of eggs yogurt and milk but not butter. As for the olive oil , yes all Greek pies are totally baked into virgin Greek olive oil and that's why they are so tasty and yummy hahaha But if it's not allowed to eat to much you can also use less of course but the results won't be the same. Thanks for watching my video.😘💕🌺👍
I have tried and was super good, I can't believe it.
naflah Bahry Ι'm so happy to hear that

Can you add the ingredients list with American measurements? We don't use metric.
Vinegar in the making dough !
Can you tell me why vinegar , first time I see it?

Where is your recipe that is written ?

When will people have enough of putting annoying music in youtube tutorials ? I can't even watch.
At least this one you can mute and not miss anything once she introduces the dish.
