4:49 You must have misspoken out of excitement 😅. Cannon + elephant cannot win.
8:50 I think you mean for 2 knights + king vs king, white cannot force a win, but 2 knights + king vs king + pawn, there are situations where white can force a win.
And to be more precise, stalemate is not checkmate, but stalemate in xiangqi is a win.
That said, I really enjoy xiangqi endgames explained in English. I hope more people discover your channel and it brings in more foreign players. ❤

      Yeah my bad
4:49 Cannon and elephant is a draw because the general cannot get to the empty open center file.
At 8:50 I do mean knight + king vs king is a draw since even if the black king is at a corner, white cannot force a checkmate using his knight. I don't know about 2 knights / 2 knights + pawn situation so I just didn't comment on that
Yeah but thanks for the support man! I really do want Xiang Qi to expand and reach and I hope these videos can spread and share the joy of Xiang Qi!

It depends on your country to be honest. I've been joining the competitions via my club who sends them to us.
Try to go to your local xiang qi club if possible to find out more about the competitions
