After commenting "I'm going"... I went! The waiting line outside was long (~18 people) but the take-out service at the register inside was instant!👍 Back home it was very delicious, and due to the thick katsu there were left-overs that were still good after a light toasting to regain the crispiness. I will go back. Thank you for the video SugoUma, 凄くうまかった!!
i am heading there in september. can you please help me understand with the takeout - does that mean once you were inside after waiting in the line the take out was able to be ordered, or can you head in past the line for takeout and order without waiting? thank you!
@@luke-xz1gb Yes, you can skip past the people waiting in line and go straight inside to the small register on the left and order your take-out. I went back (again!) the other day and also got the katsu 'sando' (sandwich) that was very tasty.

神奈川県の新松田駅付近にもありますが「極厚」を頼んで食べましたが3切れ残してしまいました。持ち帰り用のタッパーも有りますしとても満足しました。サンドイッチも極旨でした。正式には焼きカツ丼です。 There is one near Shin-Matsuda Station in Kanagawa Prefecture, but I ordered the "extreme thickness" and ate it, but I left 3 slices. I was very satisfied with the Tupperware for takeout. The sandwich was also excellent. It's officially a grilled cutlet bowl.
I just wanna say the quality and appearance of the pork, even when raw, looks top-notch. Beautifully pink, tender, clean white fat...so imagine how great it tastes cooked like that. I love Japan's food.
For people said it’s pricey, from where I’m from, I’d say for that portion, it’s already cheap. If it’s here, it’d cost like $25 or something for a bowl.
I know everyone jokes about America always having the largest food portions, but today Japan decided that they needed some time in the spotlight too. That pork is HUGE.
The difference as far as I'm aware is that in America, our "side dishes" are the size of the full meal of other nations, so this 300g pork cutlet is 10oz, served with a bowl of rice and 2-3 eggs, a hearty meal, but at an American steakhouse, you have a 12oz steak, a pile of mashed potatoes, pile of vegetables, and this is after a salad, some bread, and all before desert. Don't get me wrong I love katsu, I make a chicken katsu bowl that has half an onion per bowl that adds a nice sweetness to it. but Americans really do do things big and we do them often. In Japan people have to work hard to get to Sumo weight, in America we have to work hard to not be at Sumo weight :) you should totally learn to make katsu yourself, it's remarkably easy once you try it out ruclips.net/video/ZfF7yTbc4fY/видео.html
Hello SugoUma Japan! I must say, your video showcasing "Tonkatsu Marushichi," the restaurant with the most giant pork cutlet bowl in Japan, is absolutely amazing. The size of that Katsu-don is truly impressive! I can understand why it has garnered over 2 million views. The presentation and the quality of the dish look top-notch. @@sugoumajapanfood I will. I'll be in Tokyo in 30 hours. My hotel is at Morishita Sta. The katsu place is at Monzennakacho Sta. けどさー、この店のメニューの英語ないので、入るはちょっと怖いよ。僕の日本語はそのまま十分ではない感じてます。😅
@@sugoumajapanfood I just ate here. There was a 30 minute line. But it was worth it. They also have yuzu paste, wasabi paste, special shio, and tonkatsu sauce as condiments. It was worth it. I got the かつ丼(上) which was 300 grams. It was definitely worth the 1800円.
I gotta say that this makes me hungry! There's a couple of things regarding the sandwiches though... To begin, I was under the impression that Japanese had crustless bread so I was sorta surprised to see them cutting off the crusts. Secondly, when the crust is cut off, some of the meat is also cut off. Do they reuse the meat scraps or simply dispose of them?
It looks delicious and I'd absolutely want to try it. I'm just always nervous with going into restaurants because my Japanese is elementary level and if I walk in there and they ask me something I didn't prepare for or don't know, I might as well just die
I've gone to restaurants in japan where no one could speak english, knowing almost zero japanese myself, and comunicated purely with hand gestures. Just go.
