Woolwich dock yard, thats where i first started fishing as a kid in the mid to late 90s. Used to have some fun there, thanks for the trip down memory lane 🎣👍
This has brought back so many memories from 30+ years ago. I did my first ever competition in the right lake if you are looking at the river. In the left lake at the river end we used to go down the steps and under that lip used to sit there for hours catching perch. Wondered what happened to them. Thanks dude. I've subbed
King Henry dock.almost all the fish died 5 years ago.i fished it hundreds of times there was some bangers in there but not no more. There is only 6 or seven carp in the big side and the other side had loads of tench and perch .
Used to be a club water years ago if i remember rightly. It was great fishing there all sorts of of fish. Good to see the old place again even if it is run down...
It’s a really interesting place to fish if a little bit spooky. Shame it’s been left like that, it will probably have high rise flats there before long.
I worked on the estate behind and regularly spent time around the lake , it’s were they made ships , when I was there everyone just fished close in as it just stepped in a v shape
Remember, I used to fish this little lake down in kent. i found that when i moved in, it was like a 3 min walk by the themes. People used to tell me i won't catch anything i. Useing the wrong methods. People are saying no fish they all died no big ones. Blah blah blah.. blanked the first day.. threw some bait out came back next day just usinngrhe method feeder. Agian People saying waising my time. Even a few karrens having a pop because there dog ate a few of the boiles. Blanked i knew i could see signs of fish. But syaryed to thing the locals were right. Kept at it. Pre baiting every ither day went back down. That day cought a 12lbs common from that lake and a few 8lbs 6 lbs. Was great people was watching me. The next time i went down was. A few people are fishing it, lol. So kid pulled out some bog orange koi..
Thanks mate, I think you’re the first person to watch that far haha, don’t worry this is just the beginning I’ve got big things planned for the channel this year!
@@MANIC3420 I couldn’t see any signs of life at all but it is very deep and it’s cold so they may well be there, il try again when the weather warms up
Someone that walked past did say something like that but a few people also said they’d seen fish in there recently so I’m not sure. Il go back when it’s warm and see if there’s anything cruising about.
@@WEFISH-London about a mile away from there,by belmarsh prison u got gallions lake which is proper day ticket lake an it’s full of fish, it hasn’t got website anymore but I’m sure ur b able to find it on google maps! Behind thamesmead domino’s

@@WEFISH-Londonthe right hand dock used to be for sub-aqua diving when first opened they used to have a little club house between the docks which I think is long gone now

Il deffo be back in the summer!
@@WEFISH-London FYI theres a much easier entrance to the dock yards opposite the way you came in

Fair play mate for having a go , I love urban fishing on canals in the Black Country West Midlands, full of fish, all the best in the future 🎣👍
Urban canals and venues are my favourite too, unfortunately in London it’s really hard going. The rewards are there but it’s really hard work.
This is Woolwich dockyard the was into it is by the block of flats for future reference
@@Channelclosed20I’m pretty sure it’s all blocked off now.

Woolwich dockyard I used to fish there back in the late 70s used to have some nice carp in there
There are still some in there apparently but it’s so deep they’re hard to find 😅
Looking for carp, try the lower River Lea, at Canning Town at low tide, can be spotted swimming in the river from East India Dock Rd bridge.

The steps go all the way down you got to fish from 1 end the right depth step and fish on that
So fish on the steps not in the middle?
The fourth or fifth step below the water
Bundles of small carp in there , gradually being emptied by Eastern Europeans , suffered a fish kill couple years back to
It’s a real shame!
@@WEFISH-London there's loads still in there to mid doubles
Trie during covid a gang of Europeans trapped and stole loads of fish from there
Random ass venue that man, love it 😆😆😆
Few bodies been dumped in there i bet ...holy moly ...haunted lake 😂. Why your tripod got chucked in lol 😂
Mate it was so strange it made no noise just one minute it was right behind me then next it was in the water 😂

That might something worth investigating in the summer Thanks!
Fished this place long time ago Matt Hayes came down once
No way he was my idol as a kid 😅
Fished it in the 1985 3 of us but caught nothing I had a red Browing spiral Titanium pole it was over 11 meters deep and no one caught
That’s our pond dean anglers
What do you mean mate?
Not really a lake is it? Looks like an old water storage system, bet their was an old pump station there many many years ago. Good video though 🎣🎣🎣👍👍👍
