I used to stand in the police station for so long just to hear this song. It was difficult to get CDs from Japan at the time. Was so happy my mom bought me the OST.
The feels when you hear this for the first time, knowing there is so much of a game ahead of you, watching the turmoil at the police station and thinking on where you should go next. Parasite Eve 1, you shall never be forgotten.
+Ricardo Contreras I too hadn't played Parasite Eve until only recently, so I can tell that my passion was not grown out of nostalgia sickness. Rediscovering these games is like watching old movies or reading classic literature!
I'm glad Yoko Shimomura is handling the music department in FFXV, she's one of the best composers in video game industry, if there's anyone who should be composing the FF music besides Uematsu, she's the first one that comes to mind
I like how this song fits the police station atmosphere perfectly. This is one of my favorite games I still play and one of the reasons is because it has some of the best music I've ever heard. 5/5
all squaresoft games had incredible soundtracks. PE 1,2 FF7 Saga Frontier ect. This is music that stays with u 4 the rest of your life. you'll never 4get it! ^^
you are damn right started playing it today for the first time and music and atmosphere feels great at the beginning we will see if the rest going to be as good (probably not)
man, I remember I'd always take my time at the station just so I could listen to this song. Nostalgia at it's finest with this game as hell as it was! Great Times. A hd remake would be horrifyingly beautiful.
Man i remember how i used to go to the options menu just to hear this song, lol it took me hours to get out of the police station because of this song! Ahhhh the memories.
Just about all the Parasite Eve songs make me strangely calm, and interested. Such good music! I love Parasite Eve 1 the best, it's like the most epic.
Arguably the best song in the game... but then again, the entire soundtrack is made of awesome. XD Thank you for posting these PE1 songs...! This game is definitely a classic, I wish they would come out with a remake or something. :3
This gives me more of a feel that I'm walking on a sidewalk at the dead of night out in a huge park. All that I hear are the trees and the wind which constructs them to dance for all to see.
Sci-fi/Horror RPG for the PSX. One of the many forgotten gems from that era. It never really got the attention it deserved partly because Final Fantasy VII overshadowed it. Kind of a shame that 10 years later Square digs the franchise out of the grave they put it in just to piss all over it (3rd Birthday) but that's another story. Do a search for Naoshi Mizuta - MIST, it's a more chilled out rework of this song for Parasite Eve II. There's also another version of this song for 3rd Birthday.
@IamHim22 this is one of history's greatest games for the PS1 unlike what you've seen from resident evil this game is a true horror to behold this game has a ring of truth in our reailty which is what makes it so scary that our mitochondria is a living parasite that use us as energy until awaken that at anytime you could turn into a monster hellbent of total eradication of your fellow humans scares everyone
Some day i'll beat this game lol, i remember the police station and this absolute gem of a tune but must have been playing too many games at the time and it got caught up in the mix. As i recall this was a banner year for games so a lot of stuff was competing for my attention.
...This game freaked me out in ways not even RE could reach. Burt bodies; slime; and a female villain practically nude the whole later game....whew, this one's classic!
@IamHim22 I imagine you've had many replies since you've posted this, but in case you haven't, it's a game that challenges what we know or think we know about physics, human development, and many other things. It takes place in New York and has a quick-witted young lady officer, Aya as the main character. There are several gameplay mechanics that I find unique (at least for it's time) and interesting. Right now Agentjr (RUclips user name) is making a Let's Play of this game. You might like it.:)
@KodotaiInk i have to admit, this was a pretty good playstation game, story was pretty interesting, one of our organelles being able to cause evil and problems, interesting indeed :D
Parasite Eve - Out of Phase, NOW WITH SNOWING FEATURE! "click snow icon" I put it there, no thanks needed. ^.^ "I didnt make this video" merry christmas, hope eve isn't here? lol
Oh yeah, this song reminds me of hospitals, science laboratories for some weird reason. O_o I like it. When I become a clinical laboratory technician or doctor one day I'm gonna like play this song in my office all the time or something.
Wow, you actually called it the PSX. You can always tell who wasn't into gaming back in the day when people think that PS1 was the acronym, just because one of the remodels of the system was named that.
I was into gaming back then and I specifically use the acronym "PS1" to ensure that there is no chance of misunderstanding when i talk about things. PSX wasn't used by Sony for that system either. It was just an unofficial acronym.
In my opinion, I kinda liked The 3rd Birthday. The story is great, but attempting to make Aya Brea a mentally underpowered sex symbol was a bad idea. The soundtrack really takes you back to the PSX days(most tracks). And it's a all-round good PSP game in a broader point of view.
If you're blue, and you don't know where to go to Why don't you go where fashion sits? Puttin' on the Ritz Different types who wear a day coat Pants with stripes and cutaway coat, perfect fits Puttin' on the Ritz
Listening to this beautiful soundtrack again in 2024. ♥
Me, it's bloody fabulous

I felt this way when I first played the game in 2009. I miss this game. I wish I could relive it for the first time again.

I work at a police station, and I listen to this when working at my desk.

Great feeling must be.. :D Groovy!
Craig Gordon That is too perfect, I wish my life was as anime as yours

Do you hand out Rocket Launchers?
I'm glad Yoko Shimomura is handling the music department in FFXV, she's one of the best composers in video game industry, if there's anyone who should be composing the FF music besides Uematsu, she's the first one that comes to mind
Still goes hard 2022.

I was did online classes for high school, so whenever i was typing something out, I'd always play this song :)
this song reminds me of taking the 4 or D train to Manhattan (NYC) and walking in the busy streets to go eat food or something :)
man, I remember I'd always take my time at the station just so I could listen to this song. Nostalgia at it's finest with this game as hell as it was! Great Times. A hd remake would be horrifyingly beautiful.
Same feels here :D It is my favorite track :D
Yeah ! It's a pretty good one! Need to find an ost for this and alot of other games from back in the day!
This, Silent Hill, Tenchu and MGS are terrific in OST :D
yeah SIlent hill's is wicked, I'll have to check out the others
:D Groovy!
It's like melancolia, sadness and witnessing something terrible, but at the same time, it's soothing / relaxing. It's kind of weird.
Sounds like Monday morning at a job
@@abramlittle7102 XD.
@@abramlittle7102 It depends on the job I guess XD.

I wouldn't mind seeing an updated version of this game with more polished mechanics.
WOW I'm so hooked on the thought of playing a new generation parasite eve today. the fee eels:D
This gives me more of a feel that I'm walking on a sidewalk at the dead of night out in a huge park. All that I hear are the trees and the wind which constructs them to dance for all to see.
WWF Smackdown 2 came out for PSone around the time this did. The music is very similar to this awesome game, I love both of them.
Mysterious vibes of the early 2000's
such a great, simple song... i love this.
A short fat Canadian anime lover sent me here
THIS IS A BANGER FOR ALL SEASONS !!!!!
thanks man, it is really great to hear those tunes again... I really Miss this game..
Fell asleep on the couch while in the police station. It literally lulled me to sleep. Now it's in my head forever :D

Man I loved Parasite Eve. Funny enough though, I keep thinking of Yuki and Itsuki from The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya when I hear this song now.
Is there a song similar to this in that show that makes you think that?
God this song brings back memories.
nice!!
i agree whit you very nice song the best of this game
...This game freaked me out in ways not even RE could reach. Burt bodies; slime; and a female villain practically nude the whole later game....whew, this one's classic!

An awesome mellow song from the hit video game called Parasite Eve (1998).
@KodotaiInk i have to admit, this was a pretty good playstation game, story was pretty interesting, one of our organelles being able to cause evil and problems, interesting indeed :D
++ I suggest Mono Memory's remix of that one, it's awesome.
Dont know this game, but i love this soundtrack
OMG is this original song of “MIST” in 2 ? MIST is Epic BGM, I think.

Reminds me of kingdom hearts of organization Xlll
M.I.S.T
No promises.
yes this is a game.
Parasite Eve for PSOne
Good game, but hard as balls! I still can't get by that spider boss on the roof.
@IamHim22 the best thing Squaresoft ever did. It pwns FFVII's mother.
Just don't go conjuring up no mitochrondian Eve's.
This is only one of the greatest games ever!!!
It's more fast paced in the game how come the ost is slower?
Aya bebê história Alef
@TheKupoQueen
*I did online classes;
