- I hiked up the side of a mountain with Crazy Neighbor to go #camping in an #abandoned copper #mine. The hike was grueling, we forgot gear, and a quick overnight turned into a couple day adventure hiking the whole trip twice over steep terrain but managed to camp in the abandoned mine.

The hiking was one of my favorite parts.

The fact that I stumbled across a single video of Steve and fell into a rabbit hole is crazy, I’ve never been able to watch anything over like 15 minutes but something about your content is just better than the competition, just two happy guys sharing their adventures with the wilderness and enjoying the wild, nothing more to it, no boasting, no clout chasing, just a man and nature
This video popped up in my feed 10 days ago. Since then I’ve been binge watching Steve most evenings, probably got through 60 or 70 videos now. And there’s hundreds more to watch! Yay! 🎉 I really like the genuine nature of Steve and crazy neighbour.

Crazy Neighbor is a man among men. I can't think of anyone that Steve would do better overnighting in an abandoned mine with. The snoring, well, for me, it would have been comforting to know I was not alone, and hopefully would drown out the "shuffling," or other echo-y night noises I would be absolutely certain I heard in there. 😄😄

I've been binge watching Steve's channel for a couple of days now, and this is my favorite video so far! I like abandoned mines, geocaching, hiking, stealth camping, and this has all of it!

Hello, I understand what you were hit with; to live in your car ,bc my rent just doubled,& even if I got a second job, I wouldn't be able to pay the rent,&definitely not utilities, phone,groceries,gas for car, to get to work,etc.
As a single lady,it's very scary of the thot of trying to find a safe place to sleep,&to be safe,¬ suddenly awaken by a stranger@my car window,or a man or wild animals attacking me in the woods! I'm not sure I could fall asleep due to my fears! And I need @least 5 good hours of UNinterrupted sleep to be ready to work each day. & how do I stay in my locked car all night in all weather conditions?😢 And,
How would I protect myself from startling knocks on car windows?!🥺

Without sounding like a dick - they’re genuinely like real life Trailer Park Boys characters, in the most sweet and wholesome way possible. (I’m not Canadian, but you probably know that already)
Never worry about making any part of any video "short"! We love the feeling of just hanging out and tagging along on any of your adventures, journeys, projects, etc. To be completely honest, I would be happy as a clam with even a 2 hour long video every time, even if it was just extra walking, banter, random plant facts, ramblings, etc!

I've camped in a natural limestone cave - we had to set up tents because of the constant drips from the ceiling, it was like being in a very slow rain. It was a "dry cave", which is to say that the ground was constantly damp but there were only a few scattered puddles here and there and you didn't have to swim to get from one section to the next.
Old copper mine my eldest son and I checked out at Coppermine Road near Woodville (New Zealand) was full of water from the entrance back.
The dynamic between Steve and Crazy Neighbor, especially in the second half of this video? Comedy gold. The chemistry between these two is just elemental. Keep hangin' and bringin' us some banter, guys!

Hell yeah, this is hands down my favorite episode! I'm a life-long mine explorer. Longest underground campout I had was three nights, 4 days in a mine here in Utah. 22 miles of tunnels that covered 3500' of elevation changes. So deep that you have to camp to really explore all of it. Old mines aren't as dangerous as everyone tells you, especially if you're being cautious and go in very prepared. Check out Mojave Underground and see some of fun stuff from years ago.
*If* you're well prepared is the key word. Most people aren't.

Please be careful. I lost my Dad in a Coal Mine accident when I was 10 years old an this really scared me seeing you all walk inside this mine. I didn’t know if I was going to be able to watch this video but I got thru it. So glad you two are safe.

As an avid geocacher, the first thing I thought of was that it was a cool place for a geocache. I had one actually inside a very similar mine in New Jersey. I was very surprised when you actually looked for one and found it.
geocaching can take you to so many great places.
You probably camped dozens of places where one was nearby.

Hey Steve! This is the Thistle Mine, we explored both levels last year. Good job getting there, it’s quite the hike in. Here’s some info on the mine if anyone is interested. Discovered in the early 1900’s this is a gold, silver and copper mine. Little production has been done in this mine due to low values and the cost to remove and transport the material. The mine has been worked by multiple companies but most of the work being done by the 30’s.

We have a channel and all we do is explore mines, we don’t always name them, but when we do….. lol This one is well known and on a hiking app, so it’s fair game.. That being said, someone has the claim title, so exploring respectfully is important!!

Your videos are so organic, a guy camping in strange places, you just being you. It's so refreshing to see a normal guy doing his thing without trying to be a internet star, no begging for likes, no emoting for subs, just good entertainment for those of us who like real people.

@@steveb0503 Honestly! XD I can sleep pretty much in every noisy situation but snoring is something else. I just can't sleep in a same space when someone is snoring. Now imagine crazy neighbour snoring in an abandoned mine! I would've gone to that freaking second level.
