I don’t think Vanessa is as innocent as people think she is. When you really examine her statement you get a peak into her true personality. Vanessa knows exactly what it’s like to lose the love of your life, yet she’s going to kick Pamela while she’s down. Doesn’t sound like a decent human-being to me. This was not a time to make it all about her.

Venessa is such a beautiful woman on the outside but I’m not sure about her character. Her husband chose her and their nuclear family in life. He chose to make her the sole beneficiary in death. Clearly Kobe cared a lot for her but she could exercise some humility in the death of Kobe’s father.

Kobe be should have provided for his parents long before his passing. Period! That was HIS duty as a son. His father provided the family with a beautiful life when Kobe was growing up. They traveled the world and he guided , cultivated and encouraged his son’s talent. He mentored Kobe as a father should. Kobe should have returned the favor and provided for both of his parents. When Kobe passed his wife should have given his parents something, regardless of the past, simply because they are his parents and Kobe is no longer there to offer support & if it weren’t for them, she wouldn’t have all that she has. She should be grateful to them for that. Period. They don’t lave to be close for her to send a check.

The way Vanessa has helped his sister including buying her a car after his passing. The house her parents lived in she covered and gave her parents monthly allowance, they helped with the kids. But I have seen the doc about Vanessa supposedly being underaged when they were dating, and her parents saw a cash cow and bribed/ forced Kobe’s hand in marriage. I speculate from Vanessa’s post that it was Kobe’s mother who was the friction in the dynamic. The one who didn’t like her or their relationship. Based on what she shared in regards to Joe “Jellybean” he seemed like a kind man. Perhaps, Joe was just acting in congruence with his wife and got caught in the middle.
Kobe gave his parents a home and cars, but the “asks” were always met with comparison and dissatisfaction. Entitlement and demanding can wear a person down. They seemed to never be satisfied. Kobe made boundaries and they kept crossing them. Once Kobe’s parents sold all the memorabilia without his consent and he had to publicly admonish them, repurchase some items (couldn’t get all of them back because the new owners either denied or hiked up the price) he realized the truth and cut them off.
This is where he drew the line in the sand because he realized they will always feel entitled to his wealth and generosity, this is called financial abuse. All he ever owed his parents was his love and devotion. Kobe’s parents felt they “made him”, so they owned him and he “owed them”.
In regards to Vanessa, they provided for her mother too, but after the helicopter crash when Vanessa’s mother tried to wrangle the Latin media against her acting destitute, she also cut her off.
It’s funny how they both have parents who were financially abusive to their adult kids. Exploiting their kindness for copious gain.

There is no love between Vanessa Bryant and Kobe's family. Vanessa proved that when Kobe died and not one word was even mentioned about Kobe's parents until Shaq spoke. The parents were not even seated near Vanessa. However all is not on Vanessa, Kobe endorsed it.

I don’t see too much wrong with the message. I cannot give a full opinion because we do not know what has transpired behind the scenes with her and her In Laws. However we do know that Kobe himself had a difficult relationship with his mother and father and has often had a strained relationship with the both of them. With that said, I wish Mr. Bryant peace in his eternal rest.
