- Top US and Chinese officials have met face-to-face for the first time since President Joe Biden took office. The customary diplomatic pleasantries were quickly thrown aside. The two powers launched into scathing indictments, calling each side's national character into question. Among the issues brought up in the in Alaska meetings were human rights, the coronavirus pandemic, and China's military build-up in the South China sea.
From the very start, US Secretary of State Antony Blinken wasted no time in calling out the Chinese delegation. But China wasn't having any of it. Chinese Communist Party foreign affairs chief Yang Jiechi fired back by questioning America's status as a leader on the global stage.

1) there is no Uyghurs genocide, Uyghurs population raised from 2 millions to 12 millions in last 70 years, 6 millions to 12 millions in last 40 years, the population growth is very healthy
2) there is no concentration camp, and there is education camp
Chinese govt does modernize Xinjiang because of Belt and Road initiatives , and many Uyghurs are still living as herdsmen/nomadic, some of them never used electric appliance or even modern toilet, this group dont even have law concept and dont know how to survive in city
the education camp teaches them language/writings(these herdsman are illiterates , laws and norm in modern society, living in modern way, and some professional skills like shoemaking/tailor, so they can still get a job and survive in modern society
3)The Uyghurs get all these pension or subsidies from chinese govt:
only 0-5% fee for healthcare and education (including uni)
get free new house if they live in remote area or under poverty category
get subsidy for pregnancy
get financial subsidy and expert advice from govt for starting their own new business
get subsidy for promoting culture of minority
get a governmental jobs in protecting environment if they are in poverty category
I do believe chinese govt is treating Uyghurs a lot better than US govt treating american

I would still say the commentators are framing China as "aggressive" when criticising the US. Also they are promoting the view that China is some sort of bully ("Biden is known for not abiding bullies"), while they claim the "situation" in Xinjiang (what situation?) and Hong Kong is the result of Trump's laissez-faire policy towards China, which is utter non-sense.

I'm not a China fan in general, but the way their delegates addressed each statement made by their US counterparts was absolutely on point. They spoke truthfully and shamed the US. I think the US contingent is used to a compliant media and tries to shape the narrative with fully loaded BS, and the Chinese were prepared for this and had no intention of tolerating it.
