Well would have been nice to hear the clicking sound instead of the music...😐
There is copyright for clicking shhh🤫
Are you deaf or something lol I can clearly hear it
Agreed what's the stupid point if you can't hear
Nice. I need to test mine so this really helps. Thank you
👍👍👍
A cool way to check the resistance, I mean those two wires, nice one.
👍
@@AutomotiveDiagnosispero funciona o está averiado?? Ya que no veo que retroceda la válvula?
@@pedroburja on some solenoid valves, filter is separate so you can see the spool valve moving back and forth, but on others that filter is located on the valve, hearing the ticking sound would be enough to say that valve is working.
You forget change the - and + left qnd right
I connected it to electricity
No longer working from the inside what to do
Does it matter what cable goes to what pin like witch is positive pin and witch is negative? Just don’t want to fry anything
It's better to connect in a proper polarity. although reverse order on a solenoid that does not have any controller inside will not fry it.
And how to know the polarity of the vvt pins?
@@AutomotiveDiagnosisyou're a 🤡
@nonameduser801 look at the connector to determine polarity as the connector only fits one way.
i did all the tests which the VVT solenoid passed but was still bad!
test the solenoid VVT short to ground....one lead of volt meter on lead and another on the ground (VVT outer shield) and see what the resistance is. If low resistance, then the VVT is shorted to ground yet still reads normal with "internal leads resistance test" and the energized "clicking test".
My scammer says vvt fail, but no check engine light …Car vibrates after warm up could it be the vvt solenoid s?
Yes, if VVT solenoid is too dirty with oil sludge
@@AutomotiveDiagnosis ok, oil changed at 3,000 miles since new , perhaps one is going out ….🤔
@@AutomotiveDiagnosis How to pressure test camshaft variator? Thanks.
@@AutomotiveDiagnosisI have a 2012 Chevy equinox with p0014 code and I swap out the exhaust one and fresh oil change and still has it the car runs smooth
No she just had to clean them without removing them
Amigo buenas tardes. Si el sensor marca 16 esta dañado?
Hi my friend. 16 ohms is still ok.
16 está bien. Indica que mínimo 7 máximo 17. Dentro de esos variantes, todo bien.
感恩了解,謝謝分享!
Thanks for watching
👍👍👍
What if I got 57.6 😢
Always use a test light when applying power like that
can you please explain a bit more ?
Very helpful
👍
So if I buy cheap eaby solenoid and they say 7.0 0r 7.5 are the still good?
not any solenoid, it must same part number as your car's solenoid.
ebay's are knock offs. Go to RockAuto
@@SirCavemaninthewestrockauto carries knock offs as well beware
I bought a Dorman aftermarket. It works but car has hard starting and I still have check engine light
Ok
Good job
👍
That way of checking the actuator with a 12 volt battery is wrong...I did this and both of my actuators have passed away, my car runs like crap now. They are feed from the ECU with a lower tension around 8 volt so connecting them directly to a 12 volt source will cook them up
This method is recommended in many workshop manuals and it shouldn’t make any problems if it’s performed correctly and in a very short time. Although this video is general and doesn’t refer to any specific car, so for any specific car workshop manual must be checked for the specifications and relevant repair procedures.
I think you touched the two connectors and fried your stuff dude, this is the correct method.

Use your brain when writing a thought.
You have no idea what you are describing.
You just did something wrong.
Hi I checked mine is it out of spec?? (Ω) 6.9 ~ 7.9 68°F , im reading 9.1 but at 60°F
No, this reading is acceptable.
@@AutomotiveDiagnosis what would it read if it's not good?
Very low or too high value@@JoseSandoval-ic5xe
