Bro one of the most detailed live action batsuits ever somehow lacks more details than suits made for the game like 7+ years ago.💀
They probably had a skeleton crew make this suit. So they couldn't give it to full attention that they would do IF the entire studio was still working on the game. But remember Rocksteady is focusing Suicide Squad.

I fear they might not officially update it because devs don't usually update unsatisfactory skins, but then I realized Insomniac actually went and updated the TASM 2 suit in Spider-Man 2 after fan criticism. Here's holding out hope for the Battinson suit. 🙏

I heard the OG people that made the Arkham games are gone in Rocksteady. Plus Insomniac are still together and are all ears for fan criticism (or at least the best they can)

I think the problem is, is they obviously made it for the switch version of the game first, and the ported over, where as the other suits were made for the PlayStation, xbox and pc versions of the games and the ported to the switch.

You say "when are you going to be this close the the Batsuit?", but there's a lot of cutscenes where you get really close to Batman.

The official suit only looks good on the rain because it makes the outfit darker and more sleek just like the Arkham asylum suit it looks like crap unless you’re in the rain

insomniac makes the models themselves. idk where you got this information. if they did actually get a model from one of the movies it would be way to detailed and high resolution for a video game.

The mod looks more professional, sure, but it looks less accurate to the actual suit in the movie. The grey tone they used in the mod is way too dark and the armor part is too reflective, when in the movie it has a matte finish (more like kevlar).
Edit: looking closer, I don't know about "less accurate" because the official skin also has color issues, but at least it gets the material on the armor right. In the end both could be better.

The grey on the actual suit is accurate if you search the irl movie outfit in display the cowl and cape needs to be black
I agree that the mod isn't 100% accurate to the movie but it definitely looks better. The main issue with the official Pattinson game suit is its color palette and lack of fine detail. I can forgive the inaccuracy as long as the overall look doesn't distract me.

In game it doesn’t look bad. Mostly because you’re not paying attention to how pixelated the logo is but yeah they could have done better

The physique of Batman in Arkham Knight makes him too bulky for the lean easthetic of Pattinson's lean physique.

@@venividi8523 Pattinsons suit adds a bulk effect, not to mention he's taller than Bale. Bale looks much slimmer in his new bat suit in TDK and Rises compared to Pattinson who has a larger and more imposing frame

The PlayStation version especially the ps4 version of the suit, it truly spits on the pc version. all you have to do is turn the brightness down. Utterly destroys this modded trash
PC modded version looks like it's been textured with acrylic looks horrible. If you Google the Batman movie suit it looks like the PlayStation version. Did not consider turning down the brightness will look into that. Also is the PS4 version better than the PS5 version? Isn't it a Port.

@@hermos3602 I never said it was. The SS squad suit happens after the events of the AK. That's why I mentioned that I don't care if it's not canon for the suit to be worn before SS.
Yeah unpopular opinion but I never liked the suit from The Batman. Always thought the cowl around his neck made him look like Dracula

I am glad to finally get the suit but I think it could look darker but even then it looks decent, to me at least. They just need to revamp it a little, make it darker, make it look more wet when it’s in the rain (like the other movie suits) and I think it’ll look fantastic
The regular one looks mucky up to the chest but thankfully the lighting in the actual game it looks better still low quality but not as mucky looking

Tbf I don't think most of the people at current Rocksteady were the people that were there in 2015. I certainly am also losing faith a tad tho ngl.

With Kevin Conroy, Mark Hamill, Arleen Sorkin, Paul Dini, Sefton Hill gone the people who made the Arkham games aren't even associated with them anymore. I'm looking forward to that Wonder Woman game though, maybe the studio behind that will replace Rocksteady

You can tell they made the suit for switch first and then ported it to console because those shoulders are horrendous. They look like injustice and mortal kombat for psvita cape shoulders. To be honest I’d be ok with the texture being like it is if they had the costume in asylum and city because it would match their styles better

FINALLY SOMEONE FIXING THE SUIT! Rocksteady really got lazy with the cape, it did look as good if you compare a side by side with the 2022 real deal as it draped overthe shoulders

I really hope they update this suit. Its rocksteady. The Arkham Games are literally their bread and butter so that makes me have hope they update the suit. It looks great nonetheless and i would love to say that its only if you look closely but i cant due to it showing up in cutscenes. Its rocksteady, surely they will update it. Its amazing to use and play the game with still, I will say and i’m using it in my NG+ playthrough for the platinum on Arkham Knight but its definitely a shame its as low res as the switch
Yeah but the Flashpoint suit still has the flying issue where we can see the arms when gliding and that never been fixed for 8 years
@@David-nq8cv A lotta suits still have that. Ironically I noticed The Batman 2022 suit also has this issue. I’m pretty sure its not a bug, its to do with the model and different cape lengths. While they cant alter batman’s model as it would break batmobile interactions, they can still alter details in the suits and capes. The 1st appearance suit is a good example. Small cape, arm problem with gliding. If the cape was a lot longer like with most suits we probably wouldnt see that issue but like i said i dont think its a bug per se but rather the fact they cant alter the character model animations due to compatibility with most things in the game, most notably the batmobile as it is like 90% of the game and definitely used quite a bit for riddler’s games. For those reasons alone I dont think it will ever be truly fixed as they would have to not only alter the model animations but the code and whatnot for batman and the batmobile, specifically the arkham knight batmobile. There are ways to mod the use of the dlc batmobile’s like the 1989 batmobile but it leaves batman floating as its more or less the 1989 model placed over the original which is where the floating batman issue lies. Officially the dlc models dont have weapons systems and can only be used after ridding gotham of the militia. See where i’m getting?

Other than the resolution on the suit being poor they really should have slimed down the character model like they did with the dark knight suit. This batsuit was made for a lean batman and thats way it looks so good on robert pattinson.

I think for the switch version you can use the excuse that its a weaker console but the pc/ps/xbox version is inexcusable
question, is it possible to mix up skin mods? like lets say i wanna merge the body suit of arkham asylum but the cowl of arkham knight default skin
Some of these are built by the outsourcers, that's why there are differences in the visual output. Zooming right into textures are showing the texel density of maps, they're never going to be super sharp on Unreal engine 4, I doubt they are procedural. The issues with the The Batman suit is shader / texturing is driving a matte look, which diffuses the light across the material, rather than something which is more 'glossy / metallic' for that deeper black. Always remember when zooming right in, your basically looking at an image closer than it was designed to be viewed at, and so it's not worth adding in higher res maps, sometimes they can create unwarranted noise when further away.
This Batman’s insane natural shoulders combined with the huge shoulder pads just ain’t it. Needs to be slimmed down like the Bale suit
playing the game on xbox, i was really wondering why the heck the batman 2022 suit looked so goofy 😭😭 its freaky cartoonish look really stands out over other suits, and it seems like there is no way to mod it on the xbox
I think the mods improve the textures but imo they’re way too dark, the games original one has the perfect colours but textures are half done

the Batman Inc suit was free too, and you can get the bat-family skin set, which has like 6 high-quality skins for various characters, for literally $2. this new suit is ass.

i think the only thing better in the official skin is maybe the leather on the cowl. it looks a bit more real in a way.
what makes this worse is that you can tell that this skin was made for the switch port of the game. I feel like if they kept it switch-exclusive, we would have just left it alone. I know people would have been mad if they did that but considering what we got, I don't think it was going to matter. Just look at the Spider-Man Remastered mod community. literally every Spider-Man suit you could ever want (even the other superhero suits) are all accessible through mods.

Duuude that’s it!!! That’s the suit I wanted to see. I hate what we got. It looks so dingy… it’s not as black as it was in the movie… and it took me out of it I was excited to play again and I stop playing it after five minutes I couldn’t do it!!

@@JacobKennedy05 Not as black as the mod, though. More contrast between the suit and the cape/cowl/logo is better. Which is one reason why the TDK suit sucks so much and the only problem with the Batman Begins suit.
