To be fair, that was the point. The movie was supposed to be a more grounded and realistic interpretation of Batman in his second year as the Caped Crusader. It also focused more on the detective aspect of Batman, since he is the World’s Greatest Detective after all. The Batmobile you see in the movie is what a relatively new and fresh Batman would use, only adding his wonderful toys later on in his career as his pursuit for justice gets more and more dangerous with the emergence of more villains instead of just your street variety common thugs. Think about it like this, say you’re Batman, early on when you are simply dealing with street thugs, you’d want a vehicle that can provide adequate pursuit capability as opposed to sheer combat proficiency. As time goes on and more villains appear, like Joker, Bane, Ra’s al Ghul, Scarecrow, and a whole slew of others, then you’d want to modify your vehicle to be more readily equipped to deal with combat rather than just hot pursuit. The cost of making your vehicle more combat capable though is that it would sacrifice speed and performance due to the addition of a defensive array of weaponry and armour packages. Obviously, given you own Wayne Enterprises, the Research & Development and Applied Sciences departments would eventually create materials that would allow you to make you vehicle both incredibly tough and combat capable whilst remaining more than adequate to pursue fleeing criminals. Looking at the evolution of the Batmobile in the Arkham franchise as my case in point. Early in his career, Batman primarily used the Batwing, as the Batmobile was still being built, but once the Batmobile WAS built, whilst it did have military grade armour and less than lethal countermeasures, it was primarily used as an interceptor vehicle to pursue criminals. Then we cut to Arkham Knight, and after the many years of research that went into improving the Batmobile’s offensive and defensive capabilities (which Lucius spearheaded and was always trying to convince Bruce of, to no avail, until after the events of Arkham City, where through his infected blood, Batman was convinced by Joker in his mind to make the Batmobile more deadly, although Batman kept the vehicle non lethal with the riot suppressor and taser capabilities), the car became a veritable tank, armed with a 60mm cannon, Vulcan Minigun, missiles, on top of heavy armour enhancements from its predecessor, yet it was still more than capable of pursuing criminals just as well as the original Batmobile. Sorry for the tangent, but the TL;DR is that the Batmobile you see in the 2022 movie, is what a Batman who is still mostly dealing with common street thugs early in his career would utilise, and would only augment the car to be more combat effective once the technology is researched and available, and more villains start popping up, which would necessitate having a more combat ready Batmobile.
BTAS is still my favorite Batmobile by far. It could use some slight adjustments and embellishments to look better in realistic 3D, but they did a really good job of translating it. A lot of times when it's done in 3D it just looks really boxy and ugly, but this one looks sleak and retro-futuristic the way it's supposed to. It also looks really, really nice from the back. As much as I like the Burton Batmobile, it looks pretty ugly from the back, which is what you're looking at the whole time you're playing the game.
The cars are amazing and I really wish these additional ones were in game, but I must say the addition of the Batman Returns suit and the Batman Forever suit got me 🔥🔥🔥🔥 That Batman Forever suit looked amazing and I’m now very disappointed that it’s not in game. Would’ve been such a cool way to honor Val Kilmers legacy literally forever.
Yeah I have come to the same conclusion. I think the Batman Forever suit is my favourite now. It looks really good and has the right amount of black and stealth to it.
IMO theres 2 or technically 4 batmobiles missing from this line up 1 from the new adventures of batman and robin and 3 from the 2004 "the batman" I'd love to see more representation from that show I know we have 2 outfits but I'd love to see the batmobiles from that show in this game!
That dumpster fire of a ‘movie’ doesn’t exist as far as us Batfans are concerned. It never happened. Joel Schumacher had one chance to show he could make a Batman movie that could hold a candle to Burton’s two classics in 89 and 82, and he failed to deliver with 95’s Batman Forever, so we would have to wait until 2005 for another live action Batman movie.
@@silentbunny9797 true, but we Batfans still don’t want to acknowledge it’s existence. The almost irreparable damage it did to the franchise also almost killed the entire superhero genre, period. And that’s not hyperbole on my part either. It’s best if we pretend it never happened, and instead focus our attention on the other Batman movies that show why Batman is the greatest superhero ever. Even almost 2 decades later, The Dark Knight is still, in my opinion, not only the best Batman movie put to film, but it is to me the best superhero movie ever made. Marvel have milked the genre dry, and whilst the first 3 Phases of the MCU, and some movies from Phase 4, are incredible movies in their own right, The Dark Knight still holds the top spot in my heart.
@@JoshCreepa I always hated those movies. Trying too hard to ground Batman in reality, drains almost everything fun or compelling about his world. Batman should exist in a highly stylized, heightened version of reality. Also, speaking purely aesthetically, the Batsuits looked like shit in every one of those movies, and the Batmobile was a dumb (and hideous) tank. Batman does not drive a tank, nor does he run around clanking in loud ass armor. He is a ninja detective, not iron man. Also, Ledger's Joker was Ledger's Joker, not THE Joker. I never considered his portrayal to be accurate. He was a great actor, but the director's vision for the Joker was dumb edgelord trash from the beginning. A Batman movie should look and feel much more like that 2005 Sin City film. Very stylized, noir visuals. Nolan made the most boring version of Batman ever, with an awful design, and even worse Batman voice. Seriously, how does anyone watch those movies and not die laughing every time Batman talks? Batman and Robin went way overboard by leaning into the over-the-top, theatrical nature of the Batman too much. But on the flip side, Nolan's trilogy went way overboard by leaning into realism too much.
@@Chud_Bud I see your point, and I will agree on a few areas, but I also don’t agree with others. First of all, the most appealing aspect about Batman is that he has no outlandish abilities, he’s just a human trained to peak perfection, both physically and mentally. Whilst there will always be some element of suspended disbelief when watching a superhero movie, when the main hero is just a human being with no superpowers or abilities, no matter how much you wish to deny it, that thought is always present, so when you go into a movie where the hero has no powers or abilities, you know they shouldn’t be able to do things that require powers or abilities, and that is what makes Batman movies so compelling. Of course, he will do things no ordinary human could do, but you have to realise he isn’t just any ordinary human, he is the embodiment of peak physical and mental perfection, the pinnacle of what the human body can accomplish, and that rallies you to his cause even more, since it is far easier to get invested into the crusade of a human being doing everything they can to protect the innocent and punish the wicked instead of just another benign alien or superpowered individual doing so, which is why Batman movies are the best superhero movies out there. But that comes with it’s own disadvantage, since the audience knows Batman has no powers or abilities, it would ruin the immersion of the movie if he was portrayed as pretty much having them by doing things that only meta humans and the like could do. Practically every Batman movie that has been a critical and commercial success has some elements of realism, Nolan’s trilogy just happens to be the one that embodies that the most. Even Reeves’ interpretation, whilst not the best in my opinion, as Robert Pattinson was ABSOLUTELY the wrong pick to play Bruce Wayne and I just never felt the intimidating aura Batman should have with his portrayal, was still grounded well in reality, like when Batman needed to use a parachute instead of just his cape to glide when jumping off a tall building. Burton’s duology, whilst extravagant in its gothic setting and period, was still grounded very much in reality, you can say this was due to the limitations of movie production around that time, but the movies were still somewhat realistic with a few stretches here and there, like the vats of acid not being covered as a safety precaution. What fans love the most about Batman movies is how he is able to defeat crime without having powers or abilities, which means he shouldn’t be portrayed as being able to do so, which naturally means his movies HAVE to be more realistic to fit the narrative of him being just a human being at the end of the day. I will agree that quite a few Batsuits have had the misfortune of looking utterly ridiculous. As much as I love Adam West, and I understand that series and movie was MEANT to be campy, the suit is utterly ridiculous, and that isn’t even mentioning Robin’s elf-looking goofy costume. We have what I think is one of the greatest Batsuits with Keaton’s, despite the fact you couldn’t turn your head, the suit itself was at it’s most intimidating and incredible in The Flash (only good thing from that movie if you ask me). I will not entertain the travesties that were the Batsuits from Schumacher’s attempts at Batman, I don’t think I need to say anything. Bale’s Batsuits were very appealing with their realism, the use of Kevlar made the suits more refined and look like what a real life Batsuit designed to stop bullets would most likely look like. Affleck’s Batsuit was a bit of a step down in terms of appeal, but then again, Batman vs Superman was a massive step down from The Dark Knight Rises, so it was par for the course. The suit did not look that armoured at all, it looked mostly like fabric, which is NOT what you want a protective suit to look like. The armoured suit looked badass, and it paid homage beautifully to The Dark Knight Returns’ armoured Batsuit Batman wore to engage Superman in combat. There were many moments in the movie that paid homage quite well to The Dark Knight Returns, such as Batman grabbing someone through a wall during his rescue of Martha Kent, the ‘I Believe You’ line, the previously mentioned armoured Batsuit, just a shame the rest of the movie was utter garbage. Pattinson’s Batsuit is a mixed bag. On the one hand, I like the aesthetic of it looking very armoured, makes sense since he is only in his second year as Batman, but the cowl just looked odd at certain times. It gave off the vibe of looking crudely sewn together, and that kind of diminished the presence a bit. The Bat symbol actually being a Batarang was a nice detail though. As for the Batmobile, the Tumbler (which I presume is the one you are referring to), whilst not having the same curb appeal of other Batmobiles, like the 89 version (which is the best one, don’t even try to deny it), again, if a human was to take on crime all by himself, and was faced with threats that had powers and abilities, of course he’d need something that borders on a tank. Bale’s Batman was more practical than theatrical, the exact opposite of Keaton’s, and that also applies to their performances, Batsuits and Batmobiles. Whereas Keaton’s Batsuit was eye catching and exaggerated, especially with his movements and performance where he would deliberately get shot or overpowered, just to rise up and show that he wasn’t fazed at all, to strike fear into his enemies, Bale’s performance was more no nonsense and to the point, and that matched his suit. When you compare the Batmobiles, the comparison doesn’t get any more obvious. The 89 Batmobile is sleek and beautiful in its exaggerated appearance, whilst the Tumbler is large, intimidating and gives the impression that it could very easily raze a city to the ground. Again, two seperate interpretations of Batman, but both achieved the same thing. You have to look beyond the surface level to see it though. And also, sometimes situations call for heavier armour, and again, the only time we have seen Batman wear armour that would draw similarity to Iron Man was his suit to fight Superman in BvS, and obviously he would have needed some heavy reinforcements to take on the big blue Boy Scout. Ledger’s portrayal of Joker, for me, is the greatest interpretation of Joker in media, Hamill’s is a very close second. Joker as a character simply wants to break Batman, make him see things from his perspective, that there is no such thing as good or bad, just chaos, disorder, carnage and calamity, and all it takes is one bad day. It took one bad day for Joker to become what he is, and it also took one bad day for Bruce Wayne to dedicate his life to fighting crime so that no child would ever have to watch their parents get gunned down in a botched mugging. Harvey Dent had one bad day and that is all it took for him to become Two-Face. That theme runs throughout the film, one little push is all it takes. Nolan’s vision for the Joker revolutionised the character. Think about it, all the media around Joker is pretty much influenced by The Dark Knight. He is an agent of chaos that simply wants to watch the world burn, and wants Bats to finally see that there are no good people, they are only as good as the world lets them be. You watch that interrogation scene again and tell me his portrayal was not masterful. His mannerisms were the cherry on top. Look at how people were acting in 2020, literally fighting each other to get toilet paper due to the lockdowns, then you go back and watch that scene from a movie that was made 12 years ago at that time, and it aged like a very fine vintage. When the chips were down, those ‘civilised’ people, DID eat each other, and the proof is in the videos of the scuffles in the stores. Also, Nicholson’s Joker was more obsessed with having fun with Vikki Vale than he was destroying Gotham and taking out Bats, so why don’t you level criticism at THAT portrayal? Nolan’s portrayal showed how someone realistically could try and become Batman in real life. That is what makes the movies so much more appealing. The voice was easy to make fun of at certain times I will concede, but it was just as intimidating in others.

I'm glad all the different bat-suits and batmobiles are in the game but it does suck that the superfriends, btas, forever and Batman & Robin suits and batmobiles weren't included as dlc especially after all this time the Batman 2022 was added almost a decade after the games release!
Wait, is the Batman 2022 actual official DLC?
@Billy-bc8pk it was added with the Switch port release, but it still has the low res textures from the Switch version, so it kinda sucks.
I was hoping for the Batman Forever batmobile to make it to the real version of the game. It ain't been on a game since the 90's I bet
where's the batmobile from Batman & Robin?????
Batman and Robin with George Clooney. Forgot this Batmobile.
With Schwarzenegger me freeze
Idk how ppl like the Pattinson one. It feels like a Batmobile built by a Batman on a budget 😅.
15:11 el traje y el Batimóvil de Batman 2022 son mis favoritos 🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🦇🦇🦇🦇
I honestly expected the Tumbler to just decimate every wall it hits
Mai avrei immaginato che la bat mobile avesse la targa
The cars are amazing and I really wish these additional ones were in game, but I must say the addition of the Batman Returns suit and the Batman Forever suit got me 🔥🔥🔥🔥
That Batman Forever suit looked amazing and I’m now very disappointed that it’s not in game.
Mods for those Batmobile’s haven’t been made yet
They messed up with the Batman Forever car, the hub caps with the bat sign doesn't rotate in the movie.
@0:01 Right off the bat, no pun intended - as much as i like the Adam West Batmobile, you can’t use a convertible when it’s raining.
Am I the only one who thinks the one in the 2022 movie is the most amazing of all the ones that aren't there? I'm screaming for that car
they should have the old Adam west batman music
And sunny day. And all buildings should have this cardboard aesthetic to them
Batman Returns Batmobile and batsuit for the win. This really should've been real DLC.
Only batmobile of the 2004 the batman series is missing, but all the mod are really awsome !
To compare the tumbler with another batmobile, it's like the heavy racing tank 🔥🤑
"All Batmobiles Currently in DC media" ...forgets the 1997 Batman and Robin batmobile
@JoshCreepa yet it was in the Batman arcade game
These mods are making me want to get a PC
The batman cars kinda looks a hotweel cars)
That BTAS Batmobile 🤌🤌🤌
Supposedly someone is working on the 1997 Batmobile alongside someone else finally doing the Ice suit from the same movie.
Wish there was the silver plated suit from batman and robin
@@conceptvisualzz Yep, that's the Ice suit. Quite possibly my favorite batsuit and the number one thing that Arkham modders refuse to touch because the majority can't separate the good from the bad.
Hoping for either The Batman 2004's Batmobile or the one from Telltale next.
@@J__T The Batman Forever suit is probably my favourite. Kilmer looked great in that suit and so did Bale. It had the right amount of stealth qualities but still had some measure of menace to it as well.
@@Billy-bc8pk The Sonar suit, right? My only complaint is that it's one color, grey on grey. Otherwise, I wish that suit and that era of Bat symbols was brought back.
adam wests batmobile was '66, not '96
The only Batman and Batmobile combo that is absolutely terrifying in terms of appearance, manuevers and sound is the Zack Snyder's one! This combo is an unstoppable force even in this mod.
honestly i see why some of the vehicles dont have them but the tumbler and the 2016 have guns we have seen them get used in the movies yet the devs said “nah they never had the”
I wish the Justice League Batmobile, I know its just the canon difference but It would fit just fine with the battle mode
Such a pity the 2022 one does not have that screech. That screech along with the movie had it tied with the tumbler at the first place in my opinion, there's just too much behind that relatively normal looking car.
Batman Forever is so underrated
Three way fight between the Adam West Era Bat-Mobile, The Michael Keaton Era Bat-Mobile and the Christian Bale Era Tumbler for first place.
Since when was the new Batmobile in the game I never seen it
It's good think Bats alterego is a multibillionaire. He can afford to pay for the damages caused by his dangerous, and at times reckless, driving.
What if people were injured or died during one of his escapades?
There's an error: the first one isn't from 1996, it's from 1966
Still think the BvS Batmobile scene is way scarier than the one in The Batman, it took a freaking kryptonian to stop that thing
Yeah, but that's a Batman who's been around for years vs. a Batman who's just starting.
15:40 The best.
Saved the best for last
If only we had more batmobiles and suits added to the Arkham knight game in general the game would’ve been even cooler
6:47 what'is the music please?

Been realising that the 89 batmobile is way too big. Hopefully modders could make an actual scale of it
Yeah you're right, I had to zoom the camera out to see where I was going 😅
Don't care what anyone says, Batman is a Rev Head
