Yes, Prince was a mentor and offered her a lot of tips,even now she talks about how Prince was ahead of his time talking about owning masters when nowadays lots of musicians do it. Another one u may like is Prince & Beyonce,since i know u like her. They opened the grammys together one year It was supposed to be just him but sje had just went solo and left destinys child, she told prince she was nervous to perform solo so he told her to do the grammys with him. He is always great about sharing his stage and celebrating his musicians,bandmembers etc. Other artist wouldnt share the spotlight but Prince always did which is why we know his band members but in other groups we wouldnt know all of the musicians, check out the video for prince and beyonce but alicia keys was fun

I actually did react to Alicia talking about exactly that on Patreon recently, where she was reading from her book and recounting that experience Prince - brilliant! AND - I actually have seen that performance of Beyoncé and Prince doing a medley and it is amazing! So I'll def get to that again during the chronology I'm sure lol... 😜💜
