Prince was a PHENOM! An absolute musical wonder. And that wasn't the end of the show at all. After "I Would Die 4 U/Baby , I'm A Star", he ended the show with a 20 minute performance of "Purple Rain" in which he brought the house DOWN!
@@JamilaFord Such a shame you never got to actually see him perform. I consider myself fortunate to have seen him a handful of times. Not nearly as many as I would have liked to.
I saw him in concert and will never stop trembling from it. I was fortunate enough to see Sheila E. just a few years ago, in a small venue that wasn't open to the general public. That blew my mind too. The talent of all if those on this stage is unmatched. Thanks for this treat!
My forever baby PRINCE!!! AWESOME AS USUAL!!! MUSICAL GENIUS!! RIP YOUR ROYAL BADNESS UNTIL WE SEE YOU AGAIN 💜💜💜💜💜💋💔 Get it off was my favorite noo maybe ladder, nooo maybe do me baby... Damn Prince songs are like potato chips ya just cant pick one!!!!!!!!
An absolute legend, genius ! I was only able to see him twice but I’m blessed to be friends with people who saw him 90 times, also one of my friends was an extra in the movie Purple Rain . There will never be another like Prince 💜0(+>💜
The thing I find funny yet so quintessential in Prince was his little tricks & game's he played on fans at times in his music & lyrics on songs. For example the song right here "I Would Die 4 U." I remember back in the day when the DJ's first started spinning "I Would Die 4 U" in the clubs. Myself & a few other big fans of Prince already knew the devious game he was playing on the public while many had no clue. I'd stand at the bar smiling at people on the dance floor having a good time with their GF/BF dancing & professing their love to each other by singing the chorus & doing the hand gestures like Prince did in the movie Purple Rain. Yet, as much as they were into the jam the majority of people had no idea what the song was really about. Prince secretly succeeded the deed he set out to do with his song, "I Would Die 4 U." While he sent out a message on the power of God. He also had millions of people out there dancing on a Friday/Saturday night who were happy & spreading the love for at least a few minutes dancing to his song. It gets no better than that, IMO, real talk! +++Peace Funk & Rock n' Roll 4 Your Soul My Friend+++ 🤘😎🤘
PURPLE RAIN ☔ was THE END I was their ⚜️NEW ORLEANS SUPER DOME⚜️ but equally as important I was there from the 8-TRACK BEGINNINGS OF THE "FOR YOU" ALBUM AND "DIRTY MIND" TOUR. MY PERSONAL "PURPLE ☔ RAIN" LITERALLY LONG BEFORE THE STORM OF FAIR WEATHER FANS 🔮LOVESEXY 88🔮 WAS EQUALLY A VERY POPULAR LIVE TOUR
I would recommend live performances from his 1985 Syracuse concert like "Let's Go Crazy" and "Purple Rain". His cover of "Motherless Child" is worth checking out, as is his cover of "Crimson and Clover" from the Ellen show.
Considering all this man can do musically, from composing, dancing, singing, and playing most instruments on a pro level, is there really any argument about Prince not being the greatest artist of all times? I'll wait.
I can barely listen to them anymore. I feel like a rock ‘n’ roll widow put it. I had a turn to heavy-metal to heal. and now I’m obsessed with Metallica. 🤟🏾🤟🏾🤟🏾🎸🎸🎸🦑🦑🦑
What did you think of this performance? Were you at this show?
Prince always had so much energy in his early years. He always wanted people to have a reason to come to his live shows.
I saw this show 3 times and saw him a total of 17 times. He truly was a ONCE artist.
Absolutely! Wish I could’ve seen him!
Damn.......17 times!!!! Shiiiii...... That's Amazing!!!!
One can't help but feel something when watching Prince.
I saw this tour. Prince was the quintessential artist. Brilliant dancer and performer. His talent will never be equalled
Absolutely!

Never missed one of his shows when he came to town. It was always spectacular. A true entertainer.
Prince just makes you feel so happy and in the moment of every song slow or fast tempo. We were blessed to have him be part of our life soundtrack. 🎉❤
Truth!
Stunning kinetic performance
This was from the middle of the concert. The full concert was a Pay Per view special. Later it was released on video tape.
Such a pleasure to see
how much this man means to you, as a fellow artist.
Respect! 🫶🏽❤
Awww! Thanks!

Nice! I’ll add those to my list. “Let’s Go Crazy” might be my favorite song of his!
It went down at the "Joe L" 11/07/84 first😊
Do Prince & the Revolution w/Sheila E. -A Love Bizarre (LIVE)
Great suggestion! I’ll add it to my list!
1 of my favs
Top-tier performer, musician, and artist.
Yes!
Just Funky❤
At the end of his guitar, it was supposed to skeet !!! Oh well
Allegedly the version of 'I Would Die For You' that's on the album is a live recording.
Very cool🤩
Actually the encore was Purple Rain. A fifteen minute version of the song! That's how he ended the concert!💜
Yeah, I’ve watched it. Even made a video, but this platform blocked for copyright oddly. 😤
@@JamilaFord Got it.
Please react to It's Gonna Be A Beautiful Night live from the Sign O' The Times concert. It's just as incredible as this one, if not more so.
Cool! Thanks for the recommendation!
there is one common thing between Giannis Antentokounmpo and Prince ...the tale expression "Oh my Goodness"
Close… but after all of that , they encored with the song Purple Rain, amazing live version…

Aaaaannnndddd produce his own music and that if other artists. He must’ve never slept!
@@JamilaFord God had His Hands on the man's shoulders at birth, so everything else was just extras.🌹
Hi I,m Russell ,I would die for you,,,
No it wasn't the end of the shoe. An epic performance of Purple Rain followed. Does it get any better?
I think Prince and the Revolution was more colorful with their expression than prince and power generation which was more funkier and refined.
Gen X? I would have guessed Millennial based on looks:)
I am Gen X, but my gray hair is coming in and you look the same age as Prince. What energy drink did he have?
😂😂😂
james brown must have been inspired by this guy somehow...
No, you cut it off too soon, he went another 10 minutes or so!yet! He kept going and going!😢
I did not cut it off. That was the length of the video available.
I can barely listen to them anymore. I feel like a rock ‘n’ roll widow put it. I had a turn to heavy-metal to heal. and now I’m obsessed with Metallica. 🤟🏾🤟🏾🤟🏾🎸🎸🎸🦑🦑🦑
Wait, your Gen X and you've NEVER seen this performance??
Sadly, no. Thank goodness for RUclips! 😂😂😂
@JamilaFord watch Sign O the times next!
