I so beg of magic mountain to keep viper and all of its classic rides they currently have! Same with Californias Great America being saved wifh everything they have! Or unless i am done with amusement parks in real life staying with roller coaster tycoon most of my life until the day i die! Nothing lasts forever though I understand just like with Astroworld in Houston that I'm still mad about!
Last time I rode it was back in 2007, but I’ve ridden Viper more than 30 times and it will occasionally stop like that on the block brake if the train in front hasn’t fully passed the brakes after the dip underneath the lift hill. Even if it didn’t fully stop it does slow to a near stop. Back in 1997 there weren’t nearly as many trim brakes, the one after the first loop is especially dumb.

Yeah at first I thought maybe it broke down or something, I've seen plenty of videos of this ride and it never stops like that on the break run.
Is stopping like that at the brake block normal? I don't remember Shockwave braking so severely.
