- Hi Friends! In this video I will show you how I organize and file my scrapbook paper. I have a lot of paper and so organization is key! I hope that I can give you some ideas of how to file and organize your scrapbook paper.

Thanks so much! 😊 My craft room is just my living room turned craft room. Thank heavens we don't usually have a lot of people over- they would have to sit in my craft chair! LOL

The more organized the better and put stuff away as you go. I find I get into BIG messes if I craft and just leave everything out! FYI-ADDICTED TO PAPER-LOL!

Yes I go through all the colors and then I start and go alphabetically. Animals- Baby- Birthday- Boys-Christmas- Easter- Fall- Flowers- Food- Girls- Halloween-Hearts- July- School- Spring-Summer- Winter. Hope that helps. There are probably many more categories but this works for me. Thanks for watching Cindy.
Hi Halle, I just found your channel because I’m trying to find the perfect way to organize all of my 12 x 12 paper. Your video definitely did help! My goodness you do have a lot of paper! I do have a question??? Where do you get all of your cardstock and patterned paper?? I just cannot believe how expensive paper is nowadays! I started scrapbooking 25 years ago and you could get it for so cheap compared to now! Unfortunately, I did only scrapbook for about five years, and then I went on to other crafts. My latest Crafting obsession is card making! I didn’t realize how much stuff you need for card making!! So I am ready to go with scrapbooking, I would just like to get more solid cardstock. I did order a bunch from doodle bug from Amazon. I also ordered a couple other pads of card stock paper from Amazon too. I was just hoping that maybe you could send me in the right direction for nice cardstock and patterned paper that doesn’t break the bank!! Thank you so so much! Liz 😊
The best price on cardstock I have found is Hobby Lobby when they have it 50 percent off. A lot of my printed paper came from a local scrapbooking warehouse -everything was always deeply discounted but they just closed. Do you have a Hobby Lobby nearby?

I just haven’t been for quite some time! but I do watch people doing hauls from hobby lobby, it makes me want to go so bad! For quite some time I haven’t had a car, so I really haven’t had the opportunity to go to one. But I’m hoping that in the future that will change. I don’t really have any crafty friends and my sister definitely is not crafty. I do have a decent amount of paper like most of us do, I just need some plain colored cardstock.😊💜👍🏼

@@SmilebyHolly oh Holly thank you so much! It is nice to know that I now have a crafty friend! I recently moved, I’m not sure if I already mentioned that to you? But my craft room is about 85% done! I could definitely start scrapbooking or card making if I wanted to. But I want to really get my scrapbooking paper and my 8 1/2 x 11 card making paper really organized I also need to figure out how to organize the rest of my stickers that I bought off anon for the past year. But I need to finish a few things in my new home first. i’m so glad I have met you!😄💙👍🏼🎉
Hi Holly, I am in the process of using this system. Do you use file folders in the crates? If yes, what size, legal? Also, do you have anything in the bottom of the crate so the paper doesn’t get caught up on the open cutouts on the bottom, but if you use file folders I guess you wouldn’t need to use anything in the bottom. TIA
Yes- I use file folder crates. I use both sizes legal and 8 1/2 x 11. I got the crates and file folders at Walmart. This had worked really well for me!
Does anybody know of a cheap or inexpensive place to buy cardstock? Hobby Lobby and Michael's are expensive. Is there a place online that's wholesale. I've looked myself and can't find anywhere.

I only buy paper at hobby lobby when it's 50% off which is about every 4-5 weeks.
