All your ideas were so practical and inexpensive - thus solving a on-going problem of how to store and organize our voluminous hoard of 12x12 card stock. You solved ALL these problems brilliantly! Thank you!
This is absolutely the very best way to store your scrapbook paper !! I have tried EVERYTHING and this absolutely worked the best !! When I get ready to scrap and can go through my boxes and see every scrapbook paper I have. And because I always "step out the box" so to speak, I added something else to your AWESOME idea. I cut a 12x12 cardboard from a box (you can purchase 12x12 cardboard from Amazon) placed one piece of cardboard between every 2 or 3 books, attached 3 envelopes (small, medium and large)to that cardboard with a bit of glue, and that's where I store my scraps from those 2or 3 books. Works great for me !! THANK YOU!!
You're welcome Bad Mamma Jamma! Glad you love this idea as much as I! Wow, great tip on where to put the scraps. I put them in a file folder system and the smaller ones in trinket boxes, but yours sounds better. It allows you to put them close to the source! Love ideas like that. Thanks for the tip. I might just do that!!! I love it when I have a meeting of the minds with fellow crafters. Hope you have a wonderful day! TFW, hugs ~ Josie :)
omg, what a great idea!! I have problems thinking outside the box, so it's always nice when I get great ideas from someone, like THIS! Thank you Bad Mamma!
I know it’s been awhile but I had to add me additional note to this fantastic way to store scrapbook paper. Add 12 x 12 vinyl record storage folders! You can get 100 of them from Amazon for $10.00 and they are clear! I place my scraps in them and in front of the books I use. Love it !!!!
I took your advice and reorganized my scrapbook paper and other papers as you have done. I had it stacked up before and, like you said, I had to take it all out to get to the bottom. I redid it last weekend and it is wonderful. I have gone to look for paper a couple of time since I reorganized and I love it. It is so quick now to find what I am looking for. I used a pretty collapsible container I already had them in, but I like your box idea also because my main goal is to repurpose and not throw away usable items. I love to organize and am always keeping my mind open for new ideas.
Oh wow, thanks so much for a wonderful feedback on how you used this idea Sheree! I am so glad that it is now easier for you to find your paper pads! Much easier and more convenient, right? I am sure you're going to enjoy it for a long time. Thanks for letting me know. I love knowing how viewers use my ideas! TFW and enjoy your week! Hugs~ Josie :)
Thank you so much for sharing i used a plastic crate from home depot and immediately went to dollar tree for the mats to use as dividers. I am so glad i found your video.
I use these cutting boards for lots of things but never thought of dividers. thanks for this suggestion. I just showed it to my son and he wants it for his record album collection. we will be hitting up the dollar trees tomorrow to buy them out. thanks again.
Love, love, love it. My husband recently updated my crafts room. I'm in the middle of organizing and I have so many 12x12 paper pads. I was stuck with an idea and came upon your tutorial. Especially, organizing the journaling cards. Thank you, thank you.
You are so welcome Belinda! I am so glad that somehow this video will help you in organizer your paper pads and journaling cards! Happy crafting! TFW, hugs~ Josie :)
Viewed video and loved your idea! My paper pads were stacked up also and not getting utilized. Got the supplies and organized the pads just like yours... MAGIC!! I love how easy it is to flip through the papers and I am using my papers constantly now. Thank you SO much!!
Josie you have another great idea here. It all looks good. and is very practical and easy to do once you have all if your cutting and sorting done. Nicely done.I will use this idea when ever I get my room in order. I too hate having my paper pads. Stacked up so I can't see them. Thank you for the inspiration. I always get a little of it when I watch your videos. Blessings my friend! Much love and a happy day coming to you.🌞🌌⭐🌈 Chauchetta
what a great idea! so simple, to store the paper pads upside down so you can flip through the papers without taking the entire pad out of the box. I have a (growing) collection of those paper pads; I think I'm going to have to save a copy paper box to store them. I am a visual crafter and also store my things in Iris containers, but keeping paper in those doesn't really work; I agree. now I'm off to watch more of your videos! thanks!!
Hi Jennifer, glad to know I am not alone in thinking those scrapbook cases don't do well for visual crafters ! They are excellent cases when it comes to durability. I do believe they will work in a huge space and if one is very patient in categorizing each pad to go to each box. For example, all pink paper pads will go to one case, all blue ones to the next, etc. However, that will be time consuming and very expensive, considering there are a ton of colors! Not to mention, designs. I just thought the box is more practical, functional, and easier on the budget. Thanks for watching and commenting. I do appreciate also that you will watch my other videos. Have a wonderful day. Hugs :)
Great storage idea & I have used the cutting mats to separate my paper for a while , I also use them to organize my cutting dies & stamps . Thank you for sharing.
Great minds think alike Bevey! I too use the cutting mats in many places and ways for my crafting needs. Thanks for your feedback and for sharing the way you use them. Have a great day! TFW, hugs~ Josie :)
Thanks 2626firefly. I was on the same situation as yours before I implemented this. Makes a world of difference using this system as opposed to stacking the paper pads up. Glad you will implement this too. I'm sure you will love it! Have a great day! Hugs~ Josie :)
Best idea I’ve seen yet on how to organize my many 12x12 paper pads. I have the plastic cases, but I have to lift them to find what I’m looking for, hard on my back. Thank you!
I was starting to feel a bit overwhelmed with all the scrapbook paper that I had on hand. Your video gives me great ideas on how to get organized. Thank you so much for sharing.
Such a great idea. I just bought some of the new file folder Storage boxes from my Dollar Tree so I'm excited to decorate them and these tips and ideas for how you store your paper are exactly what I've been picturing in my head as far as the style of filing system that I think would be functional for my likes and needs. Your channel is always the first one I visit when I need an organizational of Storage solution for all of my craft supplies, and you never disappoint! Your ideas are always creative, budget friendly and most of all, functional! Sl thank you again for another great idea!

Hi! I just want to say, I made a box just like this to store all my paper, and I love it! thank you so much for the great idea! I'm going to have to make a few more after I get some boxes! This is going to make my counter look so nice and organized. Thank you again!
Hi Melissa, I am glad you find this idea helpful. You will definitely enjoy the efficiency of the way the paper pads are organized. Have a great day! Tfw, hugs :)
I have no idea how long ago you made this video, but I found it while I was searching for organization ideas. I love the shoe organizer idea! I could use that same idea for my project life cards, ephemera packs and cut aparts. Thx for sharing!
Thanks and you're welcome, Regina! I am glad you found this video helpful! The clear shoe organizer would be perfect for the paper crafting items you mentioned. Enjoy! Hugs~ Josie :)
omg! you are a genius! I have been trying to figure out the most practical way to organize these paper pads and you've done it! thank you so much for sharing this! I'm trying to reorganize my entire craft/art room and this was one of my biggest challenges because stacking them was not working at all, and i have soo many because, I too love taking advantage of those Hot Buys from MIchaels!
such an awesome idea. thanks for sharing. I will be removing my cards and a finding a box to store my paper pads. lol. maybe a pampers box and wrap it with some fabric. Thanks as always for sharing your wonderful ideas to inspire us to come up the our own versions. lol
Haha, the pampers box covered with fabric is genius! I think it will work perfectly. Plus it is free. I love the upcyling idea. Glad you found inspiration in my video. Hope you have a wonderful day. TFW, hugs ~ Josie :)
So this is ridiculously awesome and inexpensive and I am already looking for a box.... I've had stacks and stacks and it ends in frustration and my pages aren't getting done. So you have just amazed me and everyone that sees this.
Hi, I'm just starting off in the world, of planning & scrapbooking :) I love these two ideas for storage. I'm defo going to do this as it is so cost effective thank u for sharing, love & hugs from Ireland xx
Hi Jan! You are so welcome. I am sure you will love planning and scrapbooking. They are great stress relievers. I am so happy that you find my video helpful. I have more. Hope you can check them out and be inspired more! Love, hugs at you back from Josie/California USA. :)
Jan, I have been scrapping for 20+ years and I can honestly say this method works better than any have ever tried. I am using my papers pads like never before!
Tfs your tip on storing your paper by color seasons! Great idea that I think will work for me also. Remember when we bought our clothes and makeup by what " season" we were?!?!😄😉😊
that is so awesome. thank you so much for sharing this idea. I have been trying to figure out how to store my paper for a while and this is great. have a lovely day.
Im headed to town today I will be buying these bankers boxes I need at least two. I have a lot of paper. My sister and I live just a few blocks apart so not only am I organizing my craft room Im doing hers to. Im working on my dies and stamps right now and I knew that the way my paper is right now isn't working for me. I have to shuffle through it its stacked up and heavy and I have issues with my back. So I like your system and I appreciate you taking your time to show us what your doing. Thank you
Thanks Lynn. I replied to your other comment about the measurement and link to Amazon. That is for a pack of 20, so it comes down to $2.50 per piece. Check Costco too. My husband bought them there. Not sure if it is cheaper. Have a great time organizing both craft rooms. So much fun doing with your sister! Have a great week! Hugs~ Josie :)
Do you have any suggestions for 6x6 pads and stamp storage? Your very thrifty and thats what we have to be considering we are doing two rooms. I appreciate you getting back to me on the sizes. Thank you Also how bout stickers do you have suggestions on that as well?
I do have a playlist for Organization that you might want to check out. I do have all you asked for. I am in the process of completing my new craft area too using mostly thrifted and my DIY organizers. Hopefully, I can upload it before Fall ends. I am determined lol. I might update some of my organizers so stay tuned! Thank you for considering my channel for your organizing needs. I am so humbled. Hugs~ Josie :)
Hi Elizabeth, you're welcome! I am glad that I am able to give you an easy and affordable way to organize your paper pads. This system is perfect for your needs. It can fit up to 30! TFW, have a great weekend. Hugs :)
Hi Victoria, I have two sticker organization in my Organization playlist. Check them our and see if they will work for you. I am about to do a 3rd one soon! Tfw, enjoy your coming weekend! Hugs :)
I did something similar with my 6x6 paper pads, but put them in a cute wooden tray that I have right on my work table - easy to reach for. Only thing I didn't do yet is put dividers in. Love the idea for the 12x12's as I have one of those rolling carts for paper, but it's already full and I need that more for my die cuts and such. Not sure what to use the journaling cards for so would have to give that more thought before I separate them from the paper pads. Thanks for sharing! Love your crafty ideas! :-)
Hi Deb, that's awesome for you to use the wooden tray for the 6x6 pads. I don't have very many (yet) so, for now they stay in a small shoe plastic box from the Dollar Tree. Thanks for watching. Have a wonderful weekend. Hugs :)
My current storage system is fairly organized, but not very easy to use. I ripped most of the paper out of the pads that I had, so now I have them in stackable drawers by color. Do you have any suggestions how I could adapt your system for my 12×12 papers? Thanks!
Hi Lynn, I think if you can create a color zoning you can use this system. You may need to use more than 4 clear dividers. If you have a ton of paper pads, I suggest also using more than just one box. Color code each box. Maybe put similar hues in different gradients on each box. I kept mine simple. If the color or design matches the season, I placed it where it matches. So far, it has been working out well. Hope that helps! Thanks for your inquiry. Hugs~ Josie :)
Great idea, I will have to find a box that side for my papers too, do you have the measurement? I haven't thought on the journalism card on that way. Thanks for share.
All your ideas were so practical and inexpensive - thus solving a on-going problem of how to store and organize our voluminous hoard of 12x12 card stock. You solved ALL these problems brilliantly! Thank you!

Hugs~ Josie :)

great storage idea, love it! xo
Thanks Maria. xoxo :)
Hugs :)
Great idea! Love this DIY! Thank you 🙂
Thanks, Melissa. Glad you love it! Enjoy your day! Hugs~ Josie :)
This is absolutely brilliant!
Thanks Lynn! Hugs~ Josie :)
Great ideas !!! Thank you
