The LGBT community should not be pressing itself aggressively on another community. It justifies the arguments of those against that are part of the LGBT community. As a member of this community, I can say that consistently the community has never understood how to make itself seen as an equal and a community worth true integration. And that is largely the problem with many minority groups. Fighting, pushing, “pushing the envelope” doesn’t earn true equality. It is just a battle of attrition and exhaustion. Lead by example. Lead by demonstrating the greatness of the community and those it represents. Lead with the approach of “we want to be partners in the growth of the community” as opposed to demanding equality. It’s just sad….
This is how marginalized members of a community express empowerment. They get tired of hearing someone saying, "you deserve less", and instead stand up and say, "Screw you, I decide what I deserve, not you".
I find it disturbing they want to promote messages to minors about sexuality. That's so freaking weird. If they happen to be LGBT...that's great. But why should the school be involved in promoting that to minors? Makes no sense
Are you saying you are a member of the LGBT, if yes, your community can start by visiting that neighbor to bring it down and let them know that is not how you want to bring your point across to young minds.

Is that a public school?? Because even if they are political symbols, that should be protected by the first amendment. I remember a Supreme Court case from the Vietnam war where a school banned students from wearing black arm bands, which was a symbol of anti-war sentiment. But the Supreme Court ruled that was protected under the first amendment because it didn’t disrupt the class. The school not allowing it would be a government institution limiting the political speech of citizens, which is in many ways the most important part of the first amendment.
Supporting terrorist groups like BLM and divisive symbols like “pride flags” are not to be tolerated. You don’t have a first amendment in public school, kid. It’s for education not politics. 😂

School districts are restricting the display of any and all flags, the Pride flag is not being targeted. It’s a distraction from learning. Other people’s feelings are not being considered either.

why should public school teach political values? shouldn't they focus on curriculum and helping student prepare for a career? There is so much social conditioning in schools I respect this decision. Let the kids learn without brainwashing them with political ideology or messaging about sexuality. If students support BLM...awesome. If they're LGBT...great. But why should the school endorse and promote it? Focus less on the brainwashing and educate them properly. Kids leaving public schools (including colleges) are less and less prepared for real life because most of academia has pivoted to social conditioning like this.
