You meant the middle of the nine-patch would be 2.5 inches from the seam. 5.5 inch square would be 5 inches after sewing so the middle would be 2.5 inches from each seam
Hi Patrick. AT 01:38 IN THE TUTORIAL THERE IS A MATH ERROR. THE CENTER OF THE 9-PATCH IS 2.5" FROM THE SEAM. SORRY FOR THE CONFUSION. Hope this helps. Thanks for watching💗 and happy sewing😍
I was wondering if the math was correct on the 9 patch. if start with 5.50 inch square and do a 0.25 seam allowance, that would leave a 5 in square, with the center being 2.5 inch for center cut, not 2 in center cut, To have the center cut be 2 inches, the center block would be 4 inches , which means your beginning block is 4.5 inches. This could throw a novice off
Thanks for the ideas!

2inches or 2 1/2 inch from seam to center of 5 inch finished block?
